steampunk”

This felt like a real, historical account of a story from a alternate sphere.
Cawthorns illustrations and the paper stock made this special, Story was difficult to follow at times, keeping this at a solid,/While the art in this volume is gorgeous, it doesnt read very smoothly, It feels choppy and jumps around a bit in pacing, with some scenes occurring far to quickly and other sequences seeming to drag a bit.
Still, this is a valuable collection of illustrations that do great justice to the character of Hawkmoon, The art is stunning and often rather mesmerizing, Cawthorns black and white illustrations are superior to most the stuff that gets published in the US, The art alone is worth the price

James Cawthorn, Why am i just learning of him now, years after his passing The artwork in this excellent adaptation is heart achingly beautiful.
The prose, adapted by the author, is equally lovely, A dark amp detailed comic adaption of the Runestaff novels, Worth reading for the artwork alone, Very nice adaptation of thestbooks in the Hawkmoon series, Art and writing are spot on for the story, Very recommended.
