Find Circle Of Flames (Quytel #2) Executed By Jane S. Morrissey Available As Volume
of Flames is fun, dangerous, and exciting,

We're back with some of the North American Quytel circle, Darius and Ash are being loaned to the African Quytel circle to help search for missing children of great potential powers.
Emma is on a research trip to Northern Africa to find more details for her thesis paper, When she inadvertently stumbles into a supernatural hostage situation, she ends up being thrust into a world she has been searching for her whole life.

The story was fastpaced and not too worldheavy as the first book had at places, The relationship between Darius and Emma was a bit instay but it was fun nonetheless,

We got further information in the type of "other' beings that the Quytel searches for and protects and got more involved with the types of elementals rather than just the Earth.
Emma, I felt Emma got the short end because she was a fire elemental and was basically ostracized by her family for being a psycho firebug when she was actually the source of the fire and not intentionally setting them.
I felt it was fairly callous of the Quytel or maybe just short sited to not create some sort of xmen school for these kids not just for the ones with the Quytel markers.
Like only because you lost the ability to locate "vessels" and you are now in possession of your defeated enemy's boon are you now going to take in these children Maybe being centuriesold just drives the humanity out of you

Regardless, the story was fun and held my attention to the last page! I am looking forward to reading more with Ash and Maliha.
cuz she's kinda a kickass wolfgirl and all!

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review,   Back to the dangerous world of the Quytel once more, This time Darius has to face the task of returning to his first defeat and possibly face the shedevil that almost cost him his life and his calling.

Emma is an academic with more than a dash of adventurer, She feels at home amongst ruins and long forgotten tombs, certainly more than she does with her actual family, After all, as far as they are concerned she is an odd duck a fiery one at that, They certainly didn't take long to circle their wagons and ostracise her after her "episode",

Emma is soon pulled into the magic of the Quytel when she witnesses a small child being kidnapped and goes to intervene.
She soon learns that she is not quite as alone in her abilities as she thought, After a hot night with Darius he "mindblanks" her and deposits her back at home, Fast forward a few weeks and he and the other Quytel realise that the missing pieces of information they need are still locked somewhere in Emma's brain.
But will she be as quick to help this time, especially after she learns what they did to her

Child abduction is always a trigger for me and sure enough there were a couple of tears from me.
However, I loved the way the entire storyline was dealt with and lets just say that the retribution of the Quytel, the Vessels and Emma is epic and well and truly justified.
Roll on book! DNF. Lacks the charm of its predecessor, A definite step up from the previous book, the second installment of the Quytel series started with a bang, and didn't let go until the very end! I loved it!

In this book, we see Darius, one of the Warriors of the North American Circle, trying to locate missing Vessels girls with immense dormant power, who are being abducted by Senestia Cruttera, an evil organization that has been opposing the Quytel for centuries.
He ends up with a fire elemental in his arms, Emma, and a dead ex that isn't as dead as he thought.

Trust me, this was a blast, Emma was a spitfire but still sensitive and logical in her reactions, and you can't help but feel for her what with her messed up family, and her uncontrollable powers, and Darius's tendency to fuck things up and still expect her to accept it and move on.
. .

To be honest, I liked Darius, sure, He's the quiet type of dominant male, and he even had me saying "yes, sir" when he ordered Emma around in the bedroom and I usually don't like this kind of attitude, but he pulled it off without being a dick.
The problem was when he confused feelings and duty and kept dragging Emma into his mess, If the woman wasn't such a sensible sweetheart, he would have been in trouble when he finally realized what he wanted to do with her.

There were a lot of other characters I liked from the previous book present, too, Mack and Ash, for one, as well as Maliha, I liked certain individuals from the African Circle, too, and I can't wait to see more of them Firhan, in particular, and his obvious click with Dalia.
Now that we know the main villains of the series, it will be easier to focus on the storytelling part and the evolution of the Circles and their members.

In a remote village, Darius and his team arrive too late to stop a kidnapping but discover a beautiful stranger who could hold the key to finding the missing children.

A selfdefined loner, Emma Williams has always been different, Fire breathes in her soul and has set her apart from everyone her whole life, When she stumbles upon a child in danger, she falls into Dariuss unwilling arms and is pulled into the dark world of the Quytel as they fight for their lives.
