Rosemary grows tired of her father's overstatements and boasting with respect to her supernatural powers, which includes the ability to create flowers just by looking at their images, she decides to flee to a sanctuary far from Pandemville, her hometown.
Together with a friend, and pursued by an angry father, Rosemary is sent on a series of journeys in order to escape an unknown danger.
During those journeys, Rosemary encounters a series of very different societies, each of which offers to share its ideals: Courage, Loyalty, Awareness, Wisdom and Strength.
Little does Rosemary know the wealth of knowledge this journey would bring her and how that knowledge would eventually serve to help save the life of her father.
I loved the book cover, It pulled me into reading this book in the first place, The story outline was amazing and intriguing as well, I did have to reread the beginning of the story a few times since the writing style is a bit different and difficult to understand.
But after that it was simple and really fast to finish, The ending of the story where the father dies was too fast, It would of been better if it had more information on it, Like how did he get there, how did Rosemary get to the father, more details rather than the sword, blood that's it, And then he comes back to life, Other then that I really enjoyed how different this story was, Thank you NetGally for letting me read this book for an honest review, A fascinating read and an original piece of writing, The book takes you through a
journey which can very much resemble your own, and contains nuggets of wisdom for the reader to ponder upon.
Recommended. Isn't this just the cutest and prettiest cover you have EVER seen! A fascinating premise, with loads of originality and plenty of potential.
But it kept losing me with its narrative style, Where I would have loved to get some melodic description, I found basic description and characters whose voices sounded the same, We get a good jurneying plot, and again the author makes much of the very unique and creative premise with the ability make plants appear neat! It's a light read, quickly done, and satisfying in its flow.
There's something to be said for a brisk narrative without tremendous depth, Sometimes you just want to glide along and take in the storytelling, rather than immerse into a complex story, That said, worth your time, This mesmerizing book cover seems to promise a story that will captivate our attention until the end, However, I quickly lost interest while reading, The writing style was trying too hard to be poetic and lyrical, I felt lost in the first few pages, and as the story went on I was even more confused about the plot, the world, and the characters that had no depth to them and were hard to connect with.
Nothing was really introduced to us, but rather the story was told as if we already knew about this strange world, Thus, even though the story has an enchanting premise, it did not deliver for me, It felt more writeroriented than readeroriented, making it difficult to stay connected with the story and the characters, This was quite an interesting story, The first book I have ready by this author, Rosemary Bluebell kept me entertained until the very end, Hadi Atallah is an author, a poet and a keeper of an oyster, In his own words: “I leap up the beach, through the crowd holding the bongos, I dislike fake clothes and I never carried a new hat, What I usually write, I know, might be a reflection, a piece of me accidentally drifting in or a complete illusion, And I do prefer mythology over a history rich in lies, I also have a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Coventry University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing from the University of York.
