Marisol uses her time wisely by planning her escape and or taking down Mannix, one way or another she will break loose of his hold, Marisol will do his bidding for as long as it takes for her window to open and she can step through to the other side and freedom or at least that is what she is working towards.


The Wolf of the Baskervilles is just as good if not better than the first two books in The Adventures of Marisol Holmes adventures, The Wolf of the Baskervilles is loaded with twists and turns from the very beginning keeping you in the dark right up until the last page and all its secrets are revealed.


The Wolf of the Baskervilles is a fastpaced read that kept me glued to its pages wanting and waiting for what comes next, It had my blood pumping from the moment I picked it up and once I picked it up I wasnt able to lay it down until the last page was read.
I cant wait for more of Marisols adventures in future books,

I love the title, THE WOLF OF THE BASKERVILLES, as it's a nice homage to The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Coyle, though the stories have nothing to do with each other besides the Holmes bloodline connection.
Like the previous entries, the third installment is wellwritten with strong characters, fast pacing, and plenty of twists and turns to keep any reader entertained, Without giving too much away, I really enjoyed the plot element of an underground puzzle that Marisol and Mannix have to solve, . . together. It is a recipe for disaster clearly, but as a plot, it is so well constructed and well researched, It is interesting on so many levels! But Marisol is still up to her nononsense ways of taking down those who prey on the weak, Her motivations are noble and I love the way she speaks, She is a little bit like Veronica Mars in my opinion who is my FAV, but with a supernatural twist! So fun,

If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for! The book starts with Marisol being imprisoned by Mannix, No rescue is on the way, since Indra is impersonating her, Her mother and friends are in danger if she doesn't play along with her captors' whims,

I continue to be fascinated with how Marisol's brain works, Despite being a shifter, that is her most impressive weapon, Kudos to the author for creating the interesting puzzles the protagonist has to solve, An intricate challenge that Marisol may have been destined to undertake,

Verstraete has a wonderful gift of keeping you engaged, I always seem to read her books quickly, cause I cannot put them down, Each of her characters are fully developed entities, which invoke feelings of sympathy or loathing, She makes you care for them,

It is obvious that this series is well mapped out, with an overall continuity in the plot and intriguing mythology, But each book is its won adventure and I love that, Sometimes the mythology is a bit confusing and I had to read parts at least twice, Also some explanations may seem repetitive, But these are minor gripes for a book of a series I clearly love,

Full of twists, we learn more about Mannix's plan yes it's as crazy as we expected and a reveal I couldn't of predicted, but due to the subject matter, maybe should have.
His thirst for power seems insatiable, A story like this is as good as its bad guy, and here we are gifted with a great one, Intelligent adversaries always make it more exciting,

The way things are going I can 'smell' a finale coming in the next book, It will be explosive and worthy of this character and story, but is it wrong to wish for more books than that with Marisol Author Majanka Verstraete has written than twenty unique works of fiction.
