Take Boston Love (Boston Boys #2) Prepared By Melissa Belle Physical Book
Joy Street isn't your normal, runofthemill, contemporary romance, What you get is a helluva lot more than what you see, Cali Blue gives across the impression of being permanently positive and "practically perfect in every way", However, she is dealing with a whole lot more than what she allows people to see, and this also influences her career of choice, When she meets London for the first time, sparks fly, but not in the way you expect, If I remember correctly, a "prick in a nice suit" is one description of him, However, he gets under Cali's skin and not always in a bad way, When she needs help, he is there unconditionally,
I thoroughly enjoyed how these two got to know each other, figuring out the puzzle of what makes Cali/London Cali/London! The attraction is there, and it does yoyo for a while, but Melissa Belle allows their relationship to grow way beyond just a quick romp.
If I had one 'bad' thing to say it would be that the place names being names got a bit old, but consider that just one of my personal quirks.
About the story itself, I can give nothing bad, It deals with some major issues in a sensitive and sympathetic way, without glamorising or playing the victim card,
Extremely well written, and a joy to read, I look forward to more from The Tarot Series, Definitely recommended.
I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review,

California and London
This book was so good I couldnt put it down, California and London were so hot for each other and their love story was beautiful and I just loved reading their story, Their story was so beautiful and it just made me want to cry because both of them were broken and they fixed each other with love, Oh how I love these types of books, Except this time both of the main characters have tortured pasts that affect their futures, Loved the back and forth between Cali and London, Neither wants to deal with the other, or do they Plenty of time passes and they actually can get along with one another, As little bits of their pasts leak into the future, can each be what the other needs Can they be more than friends Is a one night stand possible between them Well written story.
Girl meets boy and hates him, Boy meets girl and basically tells her he hates her, Back and forth and then, I absolutely loved this story, Kept me intrigued and turning the pages as quickly as I could, Definitely recommend this one click! Both Cali and London have issues, London could be a real jerk but when he was sweet, that man went all out, “see heres the thing.
” London comes up so close to me his hardness pulses against my belly through his suit pants, “Complicated doesnt scare me, California, It turns me on. You turn me on. Like nobody Ive ever met, And I want you. Nobody else. You. ” I really enjoyed this book, A really great plotline where the main characters deal with their demons of the past,
They do not note that they are it which have met several times in 'Underneath the Mask', but I got my wish,
The chemistry between Cali and London is really perceptible and so sizzling, the author did a really, really great work,
I love the manner of writing of Melissa Belle and how she gives complexity to her characters,
This story is so wonderful and must be read anyway!!! So go ahead and buy!!!

very great book and love the art work Fantastic story! Loved it!
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I have to say, when I read the blurb for this book I didn't know what to expect, I took a chance and I am so happy I found this book and Melissa Bell a fantastic author who I can't wait to hear more from,
California "Cali" Blue has had a rough start, both her parents have suffered from mental illness along with her younger sister, Cali had been told she should be catious about having children or a life even, So Cali for multiple reasons has made a choice to not get involved in a relationship and concentrate on her work and her friends, That all changes when London Shaw rolls into her life,
London has had his own share of tragedy and being let down by those who claim to love him, He has made a choice to not get involved in any type of relationship, that is until he meets Cali the one person he wants to know better who won't give him the time of day.
I am blown away with this story, between the fantastic writing from Melissa Belle, the story is hard to read at times, it made me laugh and cry and make me think about how we as a society think of mental illness.
Ms Belle's writing style is witty and descriptive and sucks you in, I was impressed with the direction of her story and fell in love with London and Cali, The secondary characters are strong in their own right and I can't wait to read more books in this series yes it's a series,
If you are looking for a new writer who writes a beautiful love story this book is perfect, Such a beautiful and heartfelt book! Its not everyday you read a book with both characters with messed up lives, This was definitely a change from what I've been reading, London and Cali doesn't have the best meeting especially when London comes off as a cocky, arrogant jerk and interrupts Cali's tarot card reading, She's already having a day, Something about London rattles her and makes her unlike herself, Cali is normally the one who helps others and worries about herself last, London makes her want to be a better person, She knows she can't cause things are holding her back, She has to let go in order to be happy, London may live a privileged life but he isn't happy, He's doing what is expected of him rather then what he wants, Cali helps him find his passion again, These two together may have their issues especially since London has to keep rescuing Cali, Soon enough the cards start lining up and they get their happy ending, Such a remarkable and emotional thrill ride of a book! I found myself reading it a second time, I would recommend this book to all my friends, for sure! NetGalley ARC
I am so fricking grateful to City Owl Press for letting me have this one.
I saw the blurb and I knew I needed to get my hands on this one, .
Seeing as how I have had my blurb betrayals, I can happily say this one didn't disappoint,
This was original,a different idea, a different storyline, . Yeah the theme was the same as all romance novels, boy meets girl and progress from hate to love but what mainly matters is the story and the pasts and lives of the characters.
California Blue, I love the name is a girl who knows tarot reading and well her life is pretty much driven by them, A past experience where she ignored her tarot cards prediction led to a catastrophe unlike any, . Leave her scarred for the rest of her life,
So that's why she is the way she is,
The hero, London Shaw, . God I wish the author hadn't given him this name, it's sounds so feminine and not for once couldn't I distinguish between California and London because seeing London as a muscular and brooding guy just didn't fitthe way author kept emphasizing his name by making the side characters swoon over his name.
. Ughhh no. . This one was the only turn off for me, .
Anyway, the hero comes with his own baggage,
Past betrayals and pain pains,
They both collide the way the title states and the story unfolds and progresses,
It was,I don't know, funny or maybe annoying the way most of the characters were named after places, .
Anyway, I enjoyed this one,
It landed on my Kindle in the afternoon and then I devoured it in one go!
Nicely written,
Good plot.
Solid and original characters,

“California, I want one night with you where you strip off every piece of clothing, and every chink of armor, and just lay yourself bare to me.
”
Holy !, I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book, Loved the chemistry, loved the relationship, loved the story,
LONDON SHAW and CALIFORNIA BLUE collide one day when London is lost finding Joy Street and California is dealing with a very bad anniversary,
“I sneak a peek over at him, thoroughly confused by the dichotomy of the man behind the wheel, His dark ponytail and hint of a tattoo peeking out from his shirt collar scream danger, ”
The novel takes place in Beacon Hill in Boston, and is a great setting for a romance,
What I especially enjoyed as a reader is we get to hear BOTH characters POVs, California is strong and independent, and London hilarious and sexy,
California has MAJOR trust issues, due to some intense family stuff which is covered in good detail but not so much that it detracts from the overall story.
Shes super guarded and DOES NOT WANT to want her HOT new neighbor London, or any man at all, But London pushes all her buttons, sexy and otherwise, and Cali does the same for him,
Londons been a player for years, He was just put in charge of a major company, and the last thing he wants is a relationship the reasons why come out later on,
He and California clash at first, but then things turn into a friendship, and due to a few plot twists, welleverything changes,
This book was HOT, HOT, HOTI adored the chemistry between California and London, and not just the sex scenes, but the buildup to their first night together was awesome.
Did I mention I LOVED IT Its the first in a series but thank God no cliffhanger and I cant wait to read the next one,
Great start to a new series i just loved this book didnt want to put it down recommended read After behind the mask I was expecting great things from this book and wow I wasn't disappointed! I've hardly ever been so captured by a book that I have to know what happens and have to read the next in the series straight away, but with this series I knew as soon as I finished behind the mask I'd have to buy finding Joy street knowing it would be something special I had to read it.
California blue is a happy cheerful woman that helps everyone except herself, This book can be upsetting because it covers some sensitive subjects that some might find uncomfortable, but Melissa writes with such compassion and deals with them in such a sensitive manner you really feel empathy for both London and Cali Blue.
Cali has so many layers and London is the only one that seems to want to try to help and unravel them,
I loved the way Melissa approached the writing of the book by gradually showing you what was going on behind everyone's
persona,
I was draw into this book before I finished the first page, it's not a book that you can second guess because it is all tied up you have to unravel it page by page watching as Cali gradually learns to trust London even though she really doesn't know why because she's never felt anything for any other bloke before, could it be the fate of the tarot cards that brought them together to help each other heal.
She didn't know but she knew she was going to fight it, Noone except Paris knew what had happened and even she didn't know it all, no one did and Cali was going to make sure it stayed like that,
You really feel sorry for Cali because she seems like such a lost soul just wandering around trying to leadseparate lives not knowing who the real Cali is because she can't let go.
Trying to blend in so no on notices her, that's until London, Since he turned up she feels threatened and vulnerable, this book brought me to tears in places it felt so real you could imagine watching it unfold while keeping your fingers crossed that Cali can cope with what's going on in her life without falling apart.
I loved everything about this book and I will be looking for more books by Melissa she's such a great writer,
It's a complicated love story and well worth a read, I'd definitely recommend it to everyone, I can't wait to read the next in the series to see what that holds, .
