Earn Stolen By The Sheikh Developed By Marianne LaCroix Offered In Physical Book
setting Morocco, was interesting, but I'm sorry to say that it was the only thing I liked in this very short read,
The "hero" was an asshat, the "heroine" was a wimp, and the story, as simple as it was, had two of my great pet peeves in Romancelandia: the forced seduction scenario and the plot device.
I knew beforehand that the story contained forced seduction scenes, but I was willing to give the book the benefit of the doubt because likable characters and a good setup could make me buy the whole enchilada.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen. : As for the plot line, I just couldn't understand why it had to be included in the book.
It happened near the end of the story and added nothing to it, as there was simply no more pages left in the book to deal with the subject in a proper way.
At the end of the day, I can't even recommend this read for the smut, because that didn't work for me, I'm not a prude, as I've read many smutish, PWP books before and
I'm certainly going to read that kind of book again, However, one thing has to happen for me to enjoy them: I need to like the characters, That isn't much to ask, is it
Morocco,
While in Casablanca, Lady Christine Langtry is stolen right off the street by a dark, handsome desert lord, Sheikh Zafar bin Hassan.
Christine succumbs to his touch, surrendering her body to his possessive kisses and commanding caresses, Then Christine discovers the shocking truthher deceased husband had traded her away to the sheikh!
Reader advisory: Includes forced seduction scenes, m/f explicit sex.
A neglected wife newly widowed is abducted by a man her husband had wronged and now he wanted payback in the form of a sex slave.
A very quick read with a few steamy scenes bur not much in the way of plot,
I enjoyed it but mainly because of my thing for Sheikhs, Quick fun story of an English woman stolen by a Sheikh as payment for her deceased husband's debts, There were a couple of hot love scenes and a cute love story, I love Sheikh story but sorry I personally do not like the Sheikh Zafar attitude, He is very rude to the Heroine treat woman like a sex slave, I also find find Christine character a bit weak, Anyways this is a nice short read, I enjoyed this book overall, I didn't love it, but it was nice, The smexy scenes were pleasant, a little vanilla but enticing all the same, I thought the fact that the hero was so arrogant and demeaning to be a little ridiculous for a couple of reasons,
The first was that it was a short story and was intended as such, The strength of the hero's flaws were far too great to be satisfactorily overcome in the allotted timeframe,
The second reason similar to the first, was that the heroine fell in love to the point of not being able to go near another man foryears in onlydays.
This is not uncommon in romance novels but again, the way he rode roughshod over her for at least half of every page makes the plot a little unbelievable.
All in all, it was a good story to read quickly but if I wanted something more intense, emotional and engaging, Id have to read a different story for sure.
