Herdeira de um sonho, Her sudden wealth seemed like a curse!
A beloved friend had left Callie large shares of his family's firm, Spencer Plastics, Overnight she'd become one of Britain's wealthiest women and, it seemed, one of its most desirable!

A Spencer heir's insistent courtship troubled her, until she discovered his family's plot for her marriage.
. . and divorce. But she was too much in love to see what lay behind the attentions of her next suitor, mysterious millionaire Logan Carrington,

Too late she discovered how true the adage, money can't buy happinessor love! Decent, The conflict/climax at the end was kinda muddled, Wow!This book easily goes into one of my biggest favourites of Carole! She is the best!

'Neither is this game we're playing, '

'Game' she blinked,

He shrugged. 'Well, it started out that way, it's more serious than that now, '

Callie moved away from the spell he was weaving about her, his magnetism seeming to draw her back again, 'I have no idea what you're talking about, '

He swung her round, retaining a hold on her upper arms so that she couldn't move away, 'No matter what the reasons for our first meeting, our engagement, we want each other now, Don't deny it, Callie,' he said as she went to speak, 'That you're using Donald, and I'm using Audrey, to shield that fact, can't change the truth, '

Callie Day is a admirable heroine and i loved her braveness and goodhearted soul, It took some pages to meet the mysterious hero Logan Carrington, but when i well did,WOW what a man!How i love his undying love towards the heroine even after thinking she had desecived him, just LOVE his passion for her!
The twists and the secrets from the past were interesting and i enjoyed "Loves Only Deception" immensely.
A Great another Keeper by one of my favourite Harlequin Author Carole Mortimer! This novel was good but the end of the novel just frustrated me.
I mean the shares not belonging to Callie That just fucks everything up in the long term, regardless of her marrying Logan, It made me dislike most of the novel when it all lead up to that, I love it when the

hero is smitten, He keeps pursuing her. He wastes no time and calls her the same night he has met her,

What I did not like, was what happened near the end of the book with her shares in the company, She should not have taken that what he did so lightheartedly,

Or actually: Carole Mortimer should have found another way of dealing with the hs shares in the company, Sostar off for that ending, Much suspense when the h is willed shares in a family business as well as a great sum of money by a man she has known and loved for a long time.

The staid and upper crust family has a solution to get her out of their hair, Marry her off to a son and divorce her quickly after he gets his hands on the shares,

She meets the hero and there is a love/hate relationship and a lot of heat, How does the man who left the shares and money to the heroine, or did he fit in her past life

Is there another person with the same name and will this solve all the problems

The answers are yes and yes turns out the h's dead mother has the same name as the h and the man who died was her long term partner.
To really screw the pooch, the H insists that the man's will be invalidated as the H is sure the dead guy meant for the mother to inherit and not the h, so the evil relatives get to make their claim.

The poor h is left with nothing, not even her mother's possessions, because her mother died first and left her things to her lover.
So I took off two because the H totally shafted the h on her rightful inheritance in the process of making sure the snot snarfer relatives got what they considered theirs.

Even so I enjoyed this one and was with the h all the way, I am pretty sure she shagged the H for a while, until he was no longer interesting and then she took him for half of everything in the divorce settlement.
Seduction of an heiressWhen a good friend leaves Callie large shares of his family's firm, overnight she becomes one of Britain's wealthiest women and, it seems, one of its most desirable! With suitors flocking to her door, Callie soon finds herself embroiled in a sinister plot with one of the firm's heirsone with plans for her marriageand divorce! So when she meets mysterious millionaire Logan Carrington, his attentions seem genuineand their sizzling attraction is undeniable But can she trust that his affections are sincere
"Love's Only Deception" is the story of Carrie and Logan.

When Carrie's beloved protector Jeff dies, she unwillingly inherits shares in Spencer Plastics, Soon she is pursued by Donald Spencer and his family, only to realize that their plan is to marry and divorce her for the shares,
Planning to teach them a lesson, she decides to take Donald on a series of ridiculous quests, until one night she meets the enigmatic Logan Carrington!
There is instant attraction, relentless pursual, and soon the couple is in love.
But on a Christmas Eve, hidden secrets emerge and accusations fly,
How this volatile couple resolves and unites, is the story,
I enjoyed this story, Spunky heroine, brooding hero, relative drama, secrets followed by jealousy and HEA, If not for the surprise twist and abrupt resolution in the end, this would have been rated higher,
