Scan Nightmare In New Orleans (Nancy Drew And The Hardy Boys: Super Mystery, #30) Expressed By Carolyn Keene Readable In Audio Books
on this was actually pretty readable and it featured jealous Nancy which is basically my recipe for a good time.
Two crimes, multiple criminals, and a few twists, It was fun to revisit this book after all these years, It held up as a pretty good mystery after all these years, Nancy Drew is in New Orleans to celebrate the opening of an ultrachic Creole restaurant, The idea of the Royal Creole was cooked up by Nancy's friend Shelley and Shelley's new husband, chef Remy Maspero.
They're so sure the restaurant will be a hit that they've committed every penny they have to its success.
But while they've gambled their savings, it may be up to Nancy to save them, Because someone is determined to sabotage the Royal Creole and turn it into a royal disaster! I read this book because I was meeting a group of Nancy Drew fans in New Orleans.
The book had some actual settings that was fun to see and it was realistic, Nancy and her friend Bess travel to New Orleans to stay with an old hometown friend Shelley whose husband, Remy, is opening up a new creole restaurant.
However, the restaurant is being sabotaged, Meanwhile, the girls run into Frank and Joe Hardy who are in New Orleans to solve the mystery of a theft from the safe of a steamboat casino.
As usually happens the two mysteries somewhat mesh together with a same set of suspects, It was an enjoyable read, more so because I was there, I really do love these super mysteries so much, This one was interesting and it kept me guessing, It took me longer to put the pieces together than some of the others have, It also felt like the setting
was in a completely different country! I've heard people refer to New Orleans that way, but I felt it through the writing here.
At first I didn't much like Fayeprobably jealous like Nancy! He he!!but once I got over that, she truly was a very enjoyable character.
It's nice to have someone else on the team who's not a permanent member but acts similarly.
