not sure if less happened in this book than the others, or if the ones I've read since have just had lots happening in them,
It seemed shorter and there seemed to be little for them to get over etc,
I was all ready, expecting one of the guys from the past to turn up and harass,
In fact, it was definately shorter, The only thing they had to deal with was their 'inability' to share, Not as good as the others, Shame. The irritating, interfering family aside, I had fun reading this novel as it has all the fun and frolics of an erotic romance novel, It is nicely paced, and descriptive, but can be slow in places where I hoped it would be a bit faster, Well, you can't always get what you want yet it is a good read and deserves a three star rating on here for the sex scenes alone,
Jocelyn Dupree moves to Hawaii to recover from a bad break up and an attack from her former boss and mentor, Her brother Chris and Cynthia provide her the opportunity to rebuild her life and career as a pastry chef, The last thing she wants to think about is men, But she hasn't met Kai yet,
Kai Aiona is also on the mend from a breakup and a broken heart, He's through with women with baggage, Until he meets Jocelyn. She's the epitome of everything he likes in a woman, except he knows a little of what happened to her through his sister, Mia,
Gradually she loosens up a little and she's determined to get some part of herself back, She can't resist the delectable temptation that is Kai and agrees to a date with him, One turns into a few, and soon she's trusting him with more than just her story,
What a great couple, Their open honesty throughout was so refreshing, By that I mean Kai's honesty about desiring her and Jocelyn's honesty in letting him know that she may not be able to give him what he wants, They didn't play games, which I appreciate in a story,
Kai is just so damn delicious, there's no other way to describe him, He's inked, he's buff from working on the docks since he was fifteen, and he's so darn sweet, Jocelyn could have been more complicated because of her experiences, but she's such a strong personality that she pushed her insecurities aside pretty quickly, A lot of that was also Kai's doing, The little speech he gives her near the end made me tear up, Men could take a few pointers from him, This was a totally sweet read, and just right after the drama from Dee and Micah, The biggest thing I can say about this book is sigh,
It is another awesome installment by Melissa Schroeder in this beautiful Haiwaiian themed series, Unlike the previous books in series this isn't BDSM at all, but it's just as good!
Kai and Jocelyn are just two people who have issues and are trying to find themselves again.
We have all had drama, pain, and loss and that helps us connect to these two strong characters,
Amazingly, Melissa keeps every characters unique flavor in every single book, and yet adds another dimension to them at the same time,
You can start with this book, but if you do you'll only end up going back to the beginning so do yourself a favor and just start with the first book and don't forget the shorts posted on the authors webpage.
Falling in love might not be the smart thing, but it might be the one thing they both need, Harmless, BookJocelyn Dupree has come to Hawaii to heal, After a horrific experience with her last boss, she is on the mend and ready to start again, She is focused on rebuilding her life and her career as a pastry chef, She definitely doesn t need a man in her life, or so she thinks, Kai Aiona has always been the guy to mend a broken heart, Unfortunately, the last heart that was broken was his, He has sworn off damaged women, but he can t resist Jocelyn s sad eyes, not to mention her determination to succeed, One little date turns into several and soon, Jocelyn finds herself easily addicted to Kai s sensual nature, Resisting him becomes impossible, but Jocelyn isn t ready to trust completely, When Kai discovers she hasn t been telling him everything, Jocelyn is left with two choices: trust her heart, or let the one man she has ever loved go.

My :
Kai amp Jocelyn have both just come off of devastatingly bad relationships so neither one of them them is anxious to jump back into the dating waters.
But sometimes chemistry and hearts simply won't listen to what the head says,
While this book was still very good, it didn't have the suspense or the BDSM that the other ALH books have featured, which is totally okay, I still really enjoyed Kai amp Jocelyn's romance, What made it even better was the high visibility of the other characters that we have grown to love from the previous ALH books, That was definitely my favorite part of this book,
I liked how in this book both Kai and Jocelyn fight their growing attraction to each other, While neither one really wants to become involved, they just can't seem to help themselves, They are like
two magnets that keep pulling together,
Another great element to this book is the influence from the family members, I loved Jocelyn's relationship with Kai's dad, I think that he loves her in a totally different way just as much as Kai does and he sees that they are a good thing together and is really encouraging the relationship.
Then on the other side is Chris Jocelyn's brother and hero from ALHP who has seen Kai as a player and does NOT want him to get involved with or hurt Jocelyn.
On this side of the story line, I love how Cynthia pushes Chris to look at things with the correct perspective she's so good with him,
While following a slightly different format, this book was still a great addition to the A Little Harmless series, And now I am out of books in this series, so I need Melissa Schroeder to start writing faster, . . hehe!
Another good story in this fantastic series by Melissa Schroeder, A Little Harmless Addiction gives us a story of two people with broken pasts that find love again, Kai and Jocelyn are a great couple as they find their way to each other, This book is best described by a quote from the story, itself, Danny Aiona said "sometimes it is the journey that's important, " Good words. The harmless series is like eating oatmeal raisin cookies: one isn't enough, two makes you want another, and three has you on your back sated and happy, "Harmless Addiction" continues with Kai and Joce's story, I think I enjoy these books because of the tight story line Melissa usually pulls off with the HEA ending, If she keeps writing them, I'm at a loss as to why I would ever stop reading them, Go ahead and jump in with both eyeballs, you'll enjoy them,

"Too Grand For Words"
Romance with a twist of steam! To me I was a little disappointed in this book, because I expected more from it knowing a little bit of the characters already because of the previous books.
With Joycelin being Chris sister and with all her traumatic problems and breakdowns and Kai a masochist for being a rebound guy for girls with broken heart and always is left with nothing serious with them then heartache then happen with Keisha.
For me I wanted something more intense and even a little more adventure in the story because of the two previous books left me with that, The story was a little bit bland, and not the best of the series, Jocelyn Dupree has had a rough year a year that included sexual harassment, stalking and a bad breakup, Jocelyn has finally gathered up the pieces of her life and she's ready to move on, First stop, Hawaii to see her brother Chris and his wife, Hawaii seems like the perfect place to build something new for herself,
Kai Aiona has always been the guy to pick up the pieces of a woman's broken heart, However, since his last breakup he has no interest in dealing with another woman's problems and he's definitely not looking for a relationship, Sometimes when you're not looking things find you,
Jocelyn and Kai can't seem to avoid each other on this tiny island, Sparks fly between these two but both are hesitant to enter a new relationship especially one with baggage, Nevertheless, some things you start you just can't stop,
I have A Little Harmless Addiction and it's this marvelous story! I cannot believe that this is the fifth book in the series and it's taken me this long to discover it! It is not necessary to read the books in order to follow this series.
I'm hooked on Melissa Schroeder's fabulous, sensual storytelling! Jocelyn and Kai are two wonderfully developed characters with deep cuts to their hearts, Neither is eager to begin something but it's inevitable once they meet, You can absolutely feel the fire between them when they meet, I love this relationship! Jocelyn and Kai have sensational chemistry and a sweet story that will make you fall for them, I love the setting Hawaii makes a beautiful backdrop to this love story! The secondary characters are lovable and funny! You won't be sorry you acquired A Little Harmless Addiction! It's got heart, passion, family and much more! A Little Harmless Addiction is a lively sultry story that will leave you wanting more
