New author for me. Really enjoyed the characters and their interactions with each other, Fun, sweet and cute. Sam and Lola are an unlikely match, but they make it work so well you never think to question it.
Sexy, light and fun. One thing which truly appealed to me in this book was the first line of the dedication, "This book is dedicated to all who have been told they are too pretty, too ugly, too skinny, too fat or are judged on the basis of skin color, political leanings or religious beliefs.
" That actually hooked me in this tale of The Sheriff and the Showgirl!

Lola is friendly, loveable and so much fun, on top of that she loves things which are pink and frilly!!! A Las Vegas 'Pink Flamingo Girl' Lola is sacked when she turns thirty, not only that she discovers that her fiance a casino owner was cheating on her and he dumped her.
With her friends Lola packs up her pink Caddy and heads out, breaking down on Mesa Blanco and discovering life in a small town isn't quite what she remembered.
She grew up in the south, poor but willing to work hard, when her Mum died when she wasLola sold the trailer and headed for Vegas, working jobs to pay for dance lessons until she became a showgirl.

Sam is gruff and all sheriffy and divorced, his wife having left him for better prospects, a city life and a rich husband.
As a result Sam has a little chip on his shoulder about it all, but after a rocky start he and Lola finally get it together and make the sheets burn.

What interested me was this idea of prejudice and judgement, he thinks she wants a rich husband, and all she wants is to be loved and doesn't understand why he doesn't call.
However when there is a disturbance outside her home Sam comes to the rescue, It is a story about enlightenment and hot sex, A good combination. I really enjoyed this story, more than the first and I am looking forward to Roxy's tale!

A sexy and interesting read which I think you would enjoy.
I give Trouble in a Stetsonfrilly knickers out of, A damp panty read with cowboy hats on! Loved that Nick fessed up and realized what a shit he was.
. . Sam and Lola loved you two!,stars!!! With two of her friends in two, Lola Lamont escapes the Vegas life only to break down in the smallest town on any southern map.
With her car in need of desperate repairs, she takes a job as a waitress, but not before she gets a good look at the hottest sheriff to ever where a badge.
He's Trouble in a Stetson, and she can't resist,

She's trouble. And Sheriff Sam Campbell hasn't had some of that since the woman he loved walked out on him, Sam knows what he shouldn't do, He can see the future of this entanglement ruining his bachelor plans, But the well built bombshell is irresistible, so he vows to protect his heart anyway he can,

It's a power of wills between a determined woman and strong willed man, Who will win The ex Vegas Show Girl or the strong willed cop Either way, sequins fly and sex is hotter than any Texas day in the throws of Summer heat.

WARNING: M/F romance and delicious erotic sex

Giggles There were parts I went back and reread.
I loved how Ms. Carlysle was upfront with her character's flaws and fears, You never had to ponder where their feelings were coming from, The insecurity that plagued Lola was palatable and real, While Sam's need to be with her and his mind fighting the urge to love, left me fulfilled, This was a wonderful and delicious followup to Trouble in Cowboy Boots and I can't wait to finish the trilogy in the weeks to come!

Congratulations Ms.
Regina Carlysle on Four and Half Blue Roses! It was a pleasure to read, :
Regina Carlysle's website sitelink com/ First, I want to thank Regina Carlysle for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Sheriff and the Showgirl is part of the Curvy Girl Steamy romance series and boy Regina Carlysle turn up the heat!! This was an extremely hot and fun to read book.

I connected with the dedication of the book spot on as many others will too, To all those who have been told they are too pretty, too ugly, too skinny, too fat, or judged bases of skin color, political leanings or religious beliefs.

Syneca Featherstone did a magnificent job with her cover art on this book, She is incredibly talented at designing covers for authors,

One of the many things I loved in this book was how it was in the small town of Mesa Blanco, Texas.
Im a sucker for a southern accent, In this book the accent comes out loud and clear, Plus, who doesnt love hunky cowboys, ranchers, etc

The banter between Sam and Lola was comical and had me cracking up laughing like crazy! Like how Sam thought she had rocks in her luggage.
Turned out she had one suitcase for shoes and one for clothing, What made it funny is that is something my sister would doandhas done in the past,

In the same token their sexual tension and chemistry is off the charts! Regina is very in tuned to her characters and writes some very erotic scenes.

This was a quick fun read,
Love this, opposites attract, Lola is feisty, the sheriff is reserved, . . most of the time. I really like that they are both compassionate and realistic without being so desperate for companionship, She has great supportive friends who are practical and not envious, Short and on point, enjoyed reading and look forward to the author giving her friends a story on their own.
I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author, Lenas

Sam Campbell has seen a lot of things in his life as a sheriff officer but none like Lola Lamont.
She came in like a whirlwind with a body that has made him act like a

school boy hitting puberty for the first time.
Seeing Lola for the first time he feels an urge to protect her at any cost, The thing is she is a woman who doesnt want his protection but something else, He knows hes good looking but can he have a woman like her As a sheriff he must maintain a reputation of good upstanding but feels that he is missing something in his life.
Lola is definitely the woman who is opposite of what he should have yet his heart is telling him something else.
Can he have Lola in his life when she still wants to leave the town

Lola Lamont has been hurt in life and doesnt want any commitments right now.
Yet when she first meets the sheriff she is wondering about fate, Shes had some bad luck lately and meeting this gorgeous cool drink of water just gets her going, Some part of her makes wants to stay and build a life in the small town, The other half just wants a fling with Sam, but without her heart getting in the way, Lola knows that a man like Sam cannot just have a fling without giving his heart awaysomething she knows she would want forever in her life.
Can she be with the sheriff without her heart getting in the way

One word for Reginas book, Trouble in Stetson, is HOT.
This author sure knows how to write sex and a storyline to make you want more, I loved the way Lola was in the whole story for one minute you think shes your regular showgirl, yet in a minute shes an all American girl just wanting someone to love her.
Regina did a great job in Sam for he is not your usual sheriff, Hes a man who wants Lola but has a conscience that makes him want to go to the devil side yet wants to be good as well.
Loved it allthe whole book,
