By explaining all the biological and psychological facts in a clear, no nonsense manner, the author's advice has helped me to achieve this goal.
I spentdays alcohol free, and for the lastweeks I have been enjoyingglass of wine on Friday and Saturday evening with dinner.
I had previous been drinkingbottles per week, I feel the change has been effortless as this is all I actually want to drink now, I simply have no desire to carry on drinking after enjoyingglass of my favourite wine, If you wish to cut back or give up, read this book as it changed something in my mind on a very deep level which other books I have read didn't.
HIGHLY recommend. There are many books around now about giving up or cutting down on alcohol and I have read a number of them over the last year.
It is often something you get interested in when you give up alcohol, In my opinion there are two authors who have stood out above the rest over the past couple of years, the first being Catherine Gray with her 'The Unexpected Joy of being Sober' and the other Annie Grace with 'This Naked MInd' and now 'The Alcohol Experiment'.
Much has been reviewed on the first two of these, They are both the best books anyone could read if interested in giving up, Annie's latest book, 'The Alcohol Experiment' is initially for people wanting to try aday experiment and she also has a course for this of videos and emails if you wanted to do that as well.
This is just another great book with masses of superbly researched information on alcohol, as is 'This Naked Mind', What I like about it is the way these books give you the 'why' in terms of scientific information that you can look up anytime you may be having doubts, especially as we are still living in a society where most people drink.
If anybody is thinking about giving up drinking, I don't think you can do better than read one of these three books, or all three if you can.
I did and it worked for me, I think theday Alcohol Experiment is a perfect introduction and a great many people will want to carry on doing themselves a real favour.
Bought it for Dry January and it really made me think about alcohol and notice just how much we all drink and made me reassess my own and others drinking over the years.
I like the idea of just doing an experiment and not having to commit to not drinking, Less daunting. Update. Its June now and I havent drunk alcohol since/, Its great to be alcohol free, Dont miss it now maybe have urge formins at beginning of meal out but I just notice that and then it passes.
When I look at people getting drunker and louder and going cross eyed or their face collapsing or them talking rubbish like I used to Im glad Im not drinking.
And no hangovers! No waking up in the middle of the night with an attack of anxiety, Much energy. My sonalso alcohol free after reading the book at same time as me and he feels great too, There are some very tasty alcohol free beers wines etc, Its not a life of deprivation without alcohol! Tried other books/methods with no success, Am nowdays alcohol free and won't drink again, I finally feel free and am full of energy, depression has lifted and generally feel good to be alive, This book worked amazingly for me, I was drinking a bottle of red a night and had been for the lastyears or so, Give it a try. From the bestselling author of This Naked MindIts YOUR bodyIts YOUR mindIts YOUR choiceThere are a million

reasons to drink, It tastes great. You feel alive. It helps you relax. But are you really in controlThe Alcohol Experiment shows a new way of thinking and offers aday programme with a difference, It asks you to look closer at why you drink, what you get out of it and whether its really the alcohol thats giving you what you want.
From the bestselling author of This Naked Mind, Annie Grace gives you the tools to take control of your drinking for good, I've done the actual Alcohol Experiment on line which is interactive and totally brilliant and I wasn't sure how a 'static' version would come across but it is superb.
Annie Grace has an amazing gift of delivering hard truth in really intriguing and enjoyable ways, She is inspirational. The Alcohol Experiment, in whatever format, is life changing and a game changer, My desire for alcohol lessened and lessened the I read what Annie was teaching, I cannot recommend it highly enough
Annie Grace grew up in a one room log cabin without running water or electricity outside of Aspen, Colorado.
