Mais pas de regret, vrai petit chef Beau livre de bonne qualité pour le rapport qualit prix, de nombreuses illustrations et la finition est très soignée ! Seule la police de caractère est petite, ce qui en rend la lecture plus difficile.
Je regrette en outre que le livre ne soit pas mieux protégé à Bonne qualité pour ce petit livre.
Quel bonheur cette version illustrée et pour la faire découvrir à un plus jeune public, Petit bémol comme soulevé dans d'autres commentaires, édition fragile et pas assez protégée à l'expédition.
Poorly translated. From the first page to the last there are so many problems with this book, For example the line where it says on the first page 'thank you very much' in the english version they have changed it to 'thanks to her' for no reason whatsoever when there is a French direct translation of this line "merci beaucoup" Bought this to practice my French reading again.
I currently own the first Harry Potter book in English, French and Chinese, which is an interesting combination of books to compare.
This was the most expensive of the three to buy including shipping and definitely feels the cheapest to hold.
I'm a little disappointed in the translation, I understand their reasoning in choosing to translate the names of places eg
Hogwarts becomes Poudlard and it does allow readers to form an understanding missing from the Mandarin version, which translates the names phonetically rather than for meaning.
Translating the names of characters also makes some sense but, in my opinion, there is an odd mix of character names chosen.
However I really don't get the change of name for the book, If they were concerned about younger readers not understanding what the philosopher's stone is surely following the route many other countries took calling it Harry Potter and the magic stone or wizard's stone would have made senseDespite my dislike of some of the choices made by the translator I still recomend this to people wanting to read a story in French.

Bought to brush up my French, and it didnt disappoint, Would class myself as an advanced French speaker, although rarely get to use “everyday French”, This book was perfect for that, Found myself having to look up the odd word every few pages, but was very useful for getting my brain back into “French mode”.
Not an overly taxing read, would very much recommend for those in the intermediate stage looking to advance, or advanced speakers looking to brush up or anyone who loves Harry Potter! Superb! I can listen to this as I read along with the book.
I will say I personally did not like the way the book is read is read in French, I am getting used to it however as it is a good tool for me to improve my French!I have noticed the some small phrases or sentences are omitted in this listening version, sometimes it is clear why, others not, however so far no large passage been omitted.
Also, if you are a beginner in French I do not recommend this as the story is read for the most part quickly and you would have difficulty keeping up! I have been studying French for years and I still am at University so it is ok for me but I have found that some parts of this are read out very quickly whereas other parts are read out at a slower or normal pace.

Les dessins de la maison minalima sont juste magique et magnifique et font du livre un objet de collection à part entière.
As an A level french student, I have found reading this book really useful, As I know the books inside out, it is a good place to start reading French, as I don't need to look up every word I can usually figure out the meaning.
