Over the past few books on all of CH's series the reviews have all been the same, Too much sex, it's all samey but the truth is we keep buying the books for Ms CH's writing style, and this is her style of books at the moment.
At least in this book the sex was held of until later in the book so she is listening, I for one do not oppose the sex scenes or the alpha male roles so as long as I have a few months before reading another one of her series I will still keep buying.
I pretty much read a book a day so keep them coming and I will keep reading, Just one small thing Ms CH leave the chants out of your Carpathian series PWEASE, Toxic game was good, I always enjoy this world and love catching up with all of the characters BUT, . As with her Carpathian series there seems to be a lot of repetition in her books over the last few years.
It's frustrating because I have always devoured and enjoyed this authors work, I love all of her series but the repetition feels like padding sadly, it's not as bad in the ghostwalkers as in others but it's creeping in.
Will I carry on reading this series Yes, . BUT I will not pay,for the next one, I feel this is very expensive for a kindle edition, I will order it at my local library then decide if it's worth the inflated cost before buying it not.
So mixed feelings as I said , I enjoyed it but did find myself skipping pages sadly, I want to start by saying that I am a fa of this author, I really enjoy her storytelling since I discovered the Drake Sisters series a few years ago in my opinion her best series so far.
I followed that up with Gosthwalkers series, which I really enjoyed, The first books on this series were absolutely amazing with great storytelling, complex characters and that would make me devour the book in one/two days max.
Unfortunately these last/books release from this series have been one and the same, very boring, repetitive story line and no excitement.
It was so bad that I had to skip various pages, in particular during the romantic scenes, I will still be checking for the next book but I honestly hope she can move from Teaminto other teams with new and original stories.
