Acquire Monash: The Outsider Who Won A War Authored By Roland Perry Rendered As Manuscript
You will not want to put this An excellent history of an Australian who has largely been forgotten by the passing of time.
This book reveals the relationship between Monash, various politicians and journalists who opposed him, including Billy Hughes, Keith Murdoch and CEW Bean.
However, Perry carefully I listened to the audio book took the recommendation from a previous reader who said something like this book should be taught in schools as a part of history.
I agree. Ive listened to quite a few audio books on war this is brilliant, Best book Ive A very detailed account of John Monashs life although it is obviously written by an admirer as he appears to have always been right.
It does however give a good insight into the efforts of ANZACS in WW, This is an extraordinary book about an extraordinary man and full of important and relevant personal details and explanations of battles in WWI.
The battle descriptions are probably the best of any I have read and exceed most other war books in this area.

General Sir John Monash had it both ways: as engineer, lawyer, businessman, administrator and military leader, he did amazing things for Australia and with Australians, and A great biography of John Monash which goes through, in depth, the influences and overriding narratives and events which shaped one of the most consequential Australians.
Though he some times seeks to paper over some of the character flaws in Monash the author ultimately I enjoyed this book so much I want to read it again, so much history and information.
Throughly enjoyed the writers insights into Monashs personality and his motivation as well as becoming informed of the behind the scenes activities of his detractors.
