DK is the world's leading illustrated reference publisher, producing beautifully designed books for adults and children in overcountries, My only complaint is the very small print difficult for older eyes to read, Let's face it baby boomers are a huge group of travelers and need to have their physical limitations e, g. , vision attended to Slim lightweight volume to carry, Good succinct info for aday trip I am taking in spring, Good maps with good detail for driving, These guides are wonderful to use when traveling, The tips and tricks shared helped us to decide in advance what was most important for us to see! Thanks I had trouble finding a book dedicated to Umbria, but this one exceeded my expectations.
Convenient size for traveling too, Great book which I like very much Good book for overall info, pictures and to help decide where to visit, Actual travel logistics, hotels, etc a bit light but that is what other guide books are for, There aren't many Umbria specific guides out there, This one is strictly 'okay', It has lovely photos and highlights many of the major towns and sites, That said, it lacks the satisfying walking tours, museum tours, and other historical lessons that characterize the Rick Eyewitness guides are my go to for accessible and easy to find information.
They are always well organized so that sections are tabbed and easy to find, The pictures, graphics, and maps are very helpful,
