Attain What Brothers Do Picturized By Michael Everett Brown Conveyed As Booklet
a retired NY City firefighter that worked at ground zero during/and also knew some of the people in the book it was a good interesting read for me.
A little hard emotionally at times, This book is a classic and encapsulates all thats good about the firefighting community, I was going through the pain and anguish w/this gentleman, Im familiar w/Capt Brown from the tons of stories Ive read but this was like being part of the family, The tragedy and loss that this family went through along w/the thousands of other families was heart breaking, I was sad to say that I couldnt put the book down and was drawn to the feeling of relief they felt from finally putting this hero to rest.
GOD BLESS PADDY BROWN!!! This is not only the best book that ever has, or probably ever will be written on the subject of/, it is one of the best books period.
It becomes a Gone With the Wind wide angle view, seen through one family, Very few writers have Brown's ear for the music of the words and for that reason this book reads like others who were born with this talent: Stephen King, Kurt Vonnegut Jr, Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C.
Clarke, Harper Lee. With such music, Brown has written history, much of it unknown or already forgotten, A successful writer writes with honesty, without a censor pen to protect one's image or to worry about what others will say, Mr. Brown's story is told with true honesty
and heart, The thread of humanity that runs from the first page to the last will stay with you long after you put this book away.
Yes, read with a box of tissue, along with your funny bones because he will make you laugh, too, The strength of friendship and human kindness will inspire you to go out to connect with people, "We Will Never Forget". This was said many times post/, For the people who were not directly involved time has faded the true meaning of that statement, A chance meeting with Michael Brown in a quiet Las Vegas bar, A conversation that started about New York and turned into stories from a few "First Responders", I I guess that's what they call us now, Anyway he mentions the book, so I read it, It is one of the most honest and truthful books I have ever read, If you ever wondered exactly what took place in New York on/, you have to read this book, If you are a current or prior "First Responder" it is a difficult read, but well worth it, I highly recommend it. I grew up across the street from the Brown
Family, This book made me laugh and cry and brought back wonderful memories of my child
hood, I remember Pat always jumping out the second floor window to get to a fire, My mom would freak out for fear he would fall but he was determined and as I see from this book, achieved
His dream.
Mr Brown John saved my
Life as a little girl by holding me back as I put
My moms car into gear and it rolled down the street into a tree.
Seems like there are many heros
In this family, Thank you, Mike, for writing this book, It was brilliant and I commend you for your strength, honesty and fortitude, God bless and keep you, No, we will never forget
Maria L My headline paraphrases the last line of Dr, Brown's extraordinary book. His big brother, Captain Patrick "Paddy" Brown of FDNY's Ladder, was a larger than life figure before he was among themembers of the FDNY killed on September,.
Dr. Brown's book poignantly tells his brother's story by humanizing him and by relating the impact of his death not simply on the city he loved but on the family he loved.
I cannot recommend this book enthusiastically enough, Thank you, Dr. Michael Brown for sharing this truly amazing story with the world, I learned about this book from Browns cousin John here in Ca and this was such a good story very well written! Im so glad I read it, as it brought back memories of that day.
The Brown family, NYC, and the FDNY sadly lost a true hero but what an amazing man he was, Now, I want to visit the WTC museum in New York! What Brothers Do pulls readers not just through the trenches and ashes of Ground Zero after the fall of the Twin Towers, it draws us through the broken heart of Michael Brown, a brother who feels the loos, dread, fear and hope of finding his brother, Captain Patrick Brown, alive.
"Paddy" Brown would surely survive he was an FDNY superman not even the devastation of the/terrorist attack would stop him! Could his heroism rise above evil Keeping the memory of Captain Patrick Brown a true American hero and U.
S. Marine alive is Michael Brown's quest, Paddy Brown was loved, revered and respected by everyone who felt his strength, sincerity and sense of purpose, His story, as experienced by his brother, brings life not just to his memory, but also to his irrefutable spirit as a manone offire fighters and hundreds of first responders who lived to serve and protect, yet perished, trying to save the lives of thousands of fellow New Yorkers.
What Brothers Do follows the journey of the Brown brothers as one traces the life of a fallen icon and in the process, recreates his own.
We stand in awe of the life of Paddy Brown and stand by his brother who knew only that he had to go find him.
In doing so, he found pain but also loyalty and love and wrote the best book about/, Add What Brothers Do to your library to complete your journey from the/terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, .
