Amazing Lady scientist, Lady Wyre is on the run, Her exQueen is hunting her and she is a dangerous opponent, She was saved by Lady Wyre in the past but now she wants her dead,
Lady Wyre is quite resourceful and with the help of her two lovers, she managed to survive, One dark and threatening, the other sweet gentleman, but both of them devoted to her,
I liked how there is jealousy between the men, which made it more realistic, Both of them so different with the same goal, I hope they will cross their differences and there will be some mmf action too, This space opera is full of high technology, politics, kinky menage, and happy ending, I am looking forward to reading more about their journey,
What a unique world! Really loved the mix between regency, science fiction, historical, western, amp cyberpunk, How did the author put all those genres together and smash them into a smorgasbord of greatness!! I have no idea but it rocked!



I loved the three main characters also.
There's the smart amp sexy Lady Doctor Wyre who more than held her own with whatever situations came her way, Then there is the lethal amp deadly assassin Lord Regret who acts like a nambypamby when it suits his needs which was really freaking hilarious, And lastly our big amp rough Sheriff Masters with a gentle heart,

My one amp only complaint is that it was much too short,

Recommended to anyone looking for a ménage romance in a unique world with fun characters,

Absolute fantastic read, historical/scifi with a twist! Lady Doctor Charlotte Wyre has become my new favorite heroine with the most fascinating and honorable hero's by her side, Lord Sigmund Regret and Sheriff Gilead Masters.
From page one you will be enthralled and completely engrossed by Joely Sue Burkhart's world where women rule but are still able to hold on to their femininity.
I really enjoyed the twist and turns, as soon as you thought you knew what was going to happen you would get hit with another shocker, Can't wait to see how this series progress, If you are fascinated by corsets, silks, futuristic technology, space and some good lovin' this is definitely the book for you, I highly recommend it. Fun, with great banter and interesting characters At its heart, Lady Doctor Wyre is a steampunk story, However, this is a steampunk set not in an alternate past, but an alternate future, Sortof. It takes the history of our world, and transfers it to a matriarchal universe where countries are planets and all of history's famous men have become famous women.
It's quite amusing to read about Madame President instead of Mister President, and how ships space ships, naturally are called "he", Joely's all about the details,

Even though I would class Lady Doctor Wyre as a steampunk, it's not your traditional steampunk, Many of the traditional elements are present, while many others are morphed into something more futuristic, This world mixes silk stockings with space ships, corsets with nanobots, The strict Society rules found in many steampunk novels are in effect, but they are entirely presided over by women, both in the political and social realms.


Lady Doctor Wyre is also a romance, Not in the "every other scene is sex" style, but in the sense that it is a characterdriven, emotiondriven story with themes of love and loss, Now, if you are at all familiar with Joely's writing style, you will not be surprised to hear that there is sex in the story, Pretty darn near the beginning of it, in fact, But you will also not be surprised to hear that it is all quite believable and enjoyably written, I didn't spend a moment rolling my eyes in disbelief about any part of the story sex scene or otherwise, As with every story she has crafted that I have read, Joely blends fantasy with reality in a completely believable and utterly enjoyable fashion,

A Jane Austen Space Opera This is exactly what it is, And if you thinks it's impossible, don't be so fast, Joely Sue Burkhart nailed it,

I wouldn't say it's my favorite book or that it changed my life but it's definitely an interesting read with reversed roles, Doctor Charlotte Wyre possess a personality we would usually see in a male character and it's a breath of fresh air,

If you're either into Jane Austen, romantic Sci Fi, menage or simply strong heroines, I would give it a try, Toys, of the mechanical and male variety,

Fabulous steampunk worldbuilding by Burkhart, A sheriff, an assassin, and a scientist make for a delightful compilation in this polyamorous tale, Even though Lord Regret and Gil are hot, supernova hotI'm intrigued and beguiled by Lady Wyre's creations,

I'm sorry mostly about the missed potential, the idea was good but was wasted,

Enjoyable as long as you don't expect much, Above all DO NOT expect a jane austeish romance, It should be clear from diffetent clues that the title is link bait, but better warned : Space Opera mixes with Historical Romance, I am not a SciFi/Fantasy reader, but this one was so much fun, I'm quite in love with our MC's and I'd be happy to take tea with any of them, .
