Secure A Copy Before He Cheats (Perfect Timing, #7) Written By Kim Dare Presented In Softcover
book is dying for an editor, Two paragraphs in and there are already mistakes, The story certainly had potential but the endless errors made it difficult to read, I did like the story, but I just think I wasn't in the mood for this kind of story, so instead ofstars, I'm going to give it.
rounded up to. I really just wanted Leon to confront Rupert instead of playing games otherwise, I would have loved this story, But I guess if he just confronted Rupert, there wouldn't have been much of a story, Just reread this book and it reminded me how much I love it! Thanks again, Kim Dare, for another fabulous couple, What I really liked about this book is that it shows that what a dom and sub do together, isn't just what a dom wants.
It's important both want it, Also great that it showed you don't have to like pain to have such a relationship,
I really felt for Leon but I loved how he growed in this book and became a stronger
person, Just as Rupert growed as a person because of Leon, I started this book with trepidation, just knowing there was going to be a who's cheating on who vibe, Except, Kim doesn't write those kinds of stories, That's about the only thing that got me to crack the book open and start reading,
Leon was adorable in his ratty jeans and even nattier hoodie, So much the opposite of his boyfriend Rupert, His plan to keep Rupert's interest was interesting and varied, and Rupert's reaction to it even more so,
I enjoyed this story I liked how Leon was introduced to Rupert's leather world, and how Leon got his back with the prick.
Before he Cheats isn't Kim's best book, but it is wonderfully sweet, I have a difficult time reviewing BDSM because it really isn't my scene, However, i liked Leon and Rupert a lot and their story is cute and held my attention, I still won't call a lover Sir, but i liked it none the less, I love Kim Dare she writes hot m/m with lots of sex but an actual story and characters that you really like and care about.
Before He Cheats is no exception and while the plot could be conceived as weak I really enjoyed it,
I wanted this couple to make it, A hot little novella sure to please most m/m readers, Страшная тягомотина, which translates to "meh".
.stars, I think.
It seems to me that this short story could have made a good beginning for a longer one, Since the real D/s begins only at the/of the story, for someone like me looking for D/s and BDSM, the remaining third is insufficient.
Yes, Leon is trying from the beginning to please his master in the making, so one could say that there is submission from the start, but it is not straightforward D/s and BDSM.
Anyhow, I still give this storystars, because it is an interesting one, as usual with Dare's books, and it would certainly please the less SM hardcore readers.
..stars The problem with a lot of Kim Dare's works is that I'll like the basic premise and then hate the execution, I like the idea of this story, and it was fine right up until magically, Leon ison board with living a D/s lifestyle.
He can't even call himself Rupert's boyfriend, it immediately jumps to "his submissive", The actual talking about the relationship seems fairly minimal, despite all the big drama about talking, Rupert ends up coming off as a bit of a creep "I want to put you under my protection" and Leon is a tiny kitten attempting to roar.
I will give this story one bit of credit: at least there were less epithets than usual for Kim Dare, Very enjoyable BDSMlite romance.
Leon is written as tentative and hopeful essentially innocent but wanting not to be, And OMG the scene in the coat closet melted my ereader!
Rupert is toppy and confident enough to make me swoon a little, without coming across as an asshole.
Kim Dare is an incredibly reliable author: I know I'll always get an HEA with just enough angst on the way, This was one of her best short fics I've read to date, Before He Cheats is another interesting exploration of a D/s relationship, I was quickly fascinated by the idea of the Dom having enough patience to wait for the sub to realize he is a sub before he ever even starts to test the waters on a sexual level.
All the initiative to enter a new phase in their sixmonth relationship comes from the sub, It made for a delightful read,
Leon is a great character, Funny, so young and inexperienced it almost hurts, but curious and very, very determined, Yes, he may have felt pressured to try a lot of things he isnt ready for, but the underlying love he already has for Rupert is a great foundation to build upon.
It was hilarious to see how he took over the reins in pushing the relationship further, in a way playing the Doms natural role, All while still pretending to be very submissive, of course,
Rupert is surprised by Leons sudden willingness, almost need, to try new things, It takes him a while to figure out what is going on, but he goes with the flow, carefully guiding Leon back to levels of experimentation better suited to what Leon is ready for.
This makes Rupert not just a great Dom, but shows how much of a clearly concerned and caring lover he is as well, He may not be ready to admit it out loud, but he really loves Leon and wants to do what is right for the much younger man.
If you like D/s stories with a more psychological than physical angle, enjoy humor in the most unexpected places and have a few very hot sex scenes added into the mix, you will probably like this book.
I certainly enjoyed reading it!
NOTE: This book has been provied by TotalEBound for the purpose of a review on sitelinkQueer Magazine Online.
This was so hot and cute! The coat closet scene was just smokin'!
I just loved how the author portrayed the MCs relationship developing to such extents over a single week.
Fabulous! I really enjoyed it! Originally posted at: sitelink blogspot. com/
Before He Cheats had an interesting take on the relationship between a submissive and his master, For me this made the characters more believable, The uncertainty Leon experienced really had me intrigued about how he would deal with the knowledge that his lover had a taste for a kink he never even dreamed of.
Leon is a young shy man, He has been dating Rupert, an older man, for the past six months, The relationship is going well until an exlover of Ruperts puts doubt into his head, I found it odd that even though he was naïve and inexperienced, Leon didnt ask his lover what was missing in their sex life sooner.
In Leons inner dialogue with himself he always seemed too skittish to confront his boyfriend,
Rupert is Leons first boyfriend and he really likes the younger man, He doesnt want to scare him away with his sexually need for dominance, I really like Rupert. Hes an experienced man, he knows what he likes, yet he doesnt force his needs upon his younger lover, Rupert lets Leon set the pace for what they do and dont do,
Leon takes baby steps into the world of BDSM with Rupert, The obvious master and submissive roles are apparent, But what is different is that Rupert doesnt force his ways onto Leon, He allows Leon to come to grips with this new lifestyle, Leon is witty and funny and Rupert doesnt try to shut out the lively personality of the younger man,
At times during this story dragged, There was a lot of selfdoubt on Leons part that just became repetitive, Leon claimed to not want the BDSM life style but his inner thoughts suggested otherwise and it seemed he was just fighting himself for what he so obviously wanted.
I really liked how in this love match there was no pressure to be something youre not, Ruperts love was sweet and caring, The way he let Leon take charge on what they did and didnt do was nice, This is a story where the main characters had to overcome a lot of inner struggles to have more understanding for one another and it was a good read.
Rupert is a wonderful Dom, even though he hasn't exerted his domination over Leon, a young, naive submissive which Leon is slow to realise, even though they've lived together for over six months.
A recorded phone message makes Leon think and fears losing Rupert may be the worst thing possible, So, this is the story of Leon coming into his submissive nature in order to keep Rupert, who has been determined to keep his dominant nature in the background until Leon is more comfortable with him.
It's almost a case of crossed wires: Rupert holding back, Leon not sure of what he wants but it is a really great love story of emerging needs, and the understanding necessary to achieve a true romance.
Simply lovely !!../
Cute bdsm story, Tho the title made my brain played Carrie Underwood on loop through out the book XD, Very good kinky m/m romance about a guy who gets really insecure after someone tells him that he can hardly expect his older, richer, dominant boyfriend to be faithful to him.
Poor Leon! I really wanted to give him a hug, Ruperts society friends can call it an open relationship if they want, Leon still calls it cheatingand hes going to make sure it never happens again,
Leon knows he and Rupert come from completely different worlds, but it never occurred to him that Rupert would consider their relationship to be open unless otherwise stated.
He might not have the money, the experience or the social standing of Ruperts usual lovers, but Leons still determined to fight for what he wants.
And what he wants is to make sure hes exclusive with Rupert before his lovers “old friend” comes to visit next weekend,
Can he convince a man like Rupert to give up everyone else in favour of one inexperienced graduate student Can he convince Rupert to make a commitment to him before he cheats Leon doesnt knowbut he sure as hell is going to try!
Please note, the stories in this series are connected solely by theme.
They can be read as stand alone books and in any order, .
