If your child wants or needs more details on trucks, share the information on the front and end papers, There are probably dozens of books just like this one that name different types of trucks with very simple text and pictures, My son is drawn to all things transportation, so we've read quite a few of them, This one isn't particularly memorable or notable, but it's colorful, This is one of those books that my twoyearold is happy to page through on his own without needing me to read it to him, which is nice sometimes.
I love trucks, is a good book when you are discussing the theme of vehicles, I enjoyed reading it. It is colorful, easy and fast to read to children, Personally, I prefer cars. Vivid paintings by Shari Halpern and light verse by Philemon Sturges take readers through the roaring world of rumbling trucks and reveal each truck's special job.

Short simple sentences are good for short attention spans mine and his and also for big sis who is a new reader! Lots of different trucks too! First time I looked at this I didn't like it near as much as Byron Barton's "Truck" but second, third and forth go round, it's a hit each time, cause indeed Stig loves Trucks! Lyndon had it memorized the first day we got it from the library.
