Welshborn Rosie Cochran, is one of my newest writer friends, She is a precious, Godly woman and a gifted writer who chooses to use her talent to further the Gospel, It is my pleasure to tell you a little more about Rosie and her books,
Rosie and her husband, Matt, served as missionaries in Venezuela for eighteen years and now live in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York.
Rosie is the author of three books: Betrayed, Identity Revealed a sequel to Betrayed, and A Murder Unseen,
Rosie Cochran, knows how to weave a tale! From the very first page of A Murder Unseen, I
was intrigued and had to keep reading to find out what happened next.
Rosie not only knows how to tell a great and mysterious story, she is a wonderful writer, There is nothing worse than liking a storyline but not being able to get beyond poor writing skills, You wont find any of that in Rosies writing,
A Murder Unseen deals with practically every human emotion one can feel, The main character experiences some of the worst tragedies a person can experience and feels lost and hopeless, depending upon and trusting in only self for survival.
However, as the story moves along, she begins to see God in her circumstances, The question is: Will she trust in Him to bring her through them
Rosie tells the story of Sandra Ford, a hardworking nurse who just wants to get home to her husband, Henry, and two children after pulling a double shift at the hospital.
You know how sometimes when youre in a hurry and you make a snap judgment about something that you later regret Well, this is what happens to Sandra.
She decides to take a shortcut through an alley after leaving the hospital that night, even though she knows she shouldnt, and she stumbles upon a murder scene in the making.
She hides in the dark shadows of the alley because she knows that running will only bring attention to her presence, She listens in horror as someone is murdered, Only when she feels its safe does she make a run for it, And thats when she discovers that someone is after her and now shes on the run! She just wants to go home and now it seems like she will never make it there.
I wont tell you anymore about the book, You will have to buy it for yourself, But let me tell you, the action never stops, I felt like I was reading The Bourne Identity or The Firm, where around every corner danger is looming and you do not know who you can trust.
The only reason I wanted to get to the end of the book was so that I could assure Sandras safety, This is a clean read and besides the murder scene and some violence sprinkled throughout, this book is suitable for high school and up.
Sandra Ford is at the wrong place at the wrong time, She doesn't see a murder, She just hears it. Convincing the police that the murder is more than just a figment of her imagination seems like an impossible task, That impossibility fades in comparison to the unbelievable nightmare Sandra soon finds herself in, Suddenly the police believe someone was killedand Sandra is the prime suspect! Sandra Ford has it all two young, beautiful children and a husband who is her best friend.
But what she witnesses one night on the way home from work changes everything, Theres a murder in an alley, but the only thing is she didnt see it happen, she heard it,
When a tragic car “accident” claims her family and she inadvertently survives, she realizes quickly theres no one she can trust even the police.
She runs, not with the illusion of putting her familys loss behind her, but to survive, She knows they will be coming after her when they realize she wasnt in the car,
Worse yet, the law has deemed her a fugitive wanted in the murders of both her family and the man from the alley.
As she travels across the country, she begins a new life of sorts, With the deaths of her family haunting her at every turn, eventually her past catches up with her and shes forced to run again.
And worse yet everyone she comes into contact with is in danger for their lives,
Sandra then begins to realize the only way she can stop running is to return where it all started, But how is she to prove her innocence when all the evidence points at her
Cochran orchestrates an adrenalinecharged thrill ride, pausing only long enough to allow you to catch your breath, before youre pulled along again.
If youre looking for a book you cant put down, and one youre willing to lose sleep because of, this book is for you.
Very rarely do I enjoy a book as thoroughly as this one, Very rarely do I find a book that is impossible for me to set down, This story is too amazing! The plot, the characters, everything is so real, Everything is absolutely perfect. Although I'm not one for clichéd romance intermixed in a serious book, I was not expecting the turn of events! I do have to say, though, that the book seemed to come to an all too soon of a close.
I wished for just a little more waiting, a little more suspense, but seeing as how many stressors and traumatic events Sandra has gone through, it was such an amazing relief! You're practically living the story along with her! You can feel the same sorrow, the same urgency, the same paranoia, the same relief.
Not once has a book brought me so close to tears of both sorrow and happiness, I will end up purchasing this book and reading it many more times! I was in no way disappointed with this novel, and I can't wait to read even more of Cochran's work!
