Surely by now you would think after years of marriage these two would be used to their personalities, but no, Here we are once again with an over dramatized relationship problem and the root of that problem is steady storing things up, Oh what will happen next,/
This volume starts with Chiwa dreaming about Hokuto and his business because hes been working all day and night and she barely spends time with him.
Hokuto is really busy right now but things are quieter at her work, After the incident during the night out, asahani decides to stop being his manager, Shes removed from that position but he didnt complain about her work so now, shes sakurabas assistant, She feels relieved after the confession and asahani is out doing some shopping so she doesnt have to see them, Later on, she tells Hokuto because asahani didnt feel comfortable working with the wife of a client and he seems happy because now shes with sakuraba and he wants her to work hard.
Later on we find out seiji is at the hospital and his condition got worse, Soma tells Chiwa about it but Hokuto didnt say a word, She goes to visit him but hes unconscious and soma is there, Chiwa asks about the mamiya family and his illness, The other members left once his condition stabilized and shes in no position to share what happened, Chiwa tries to convince Hokuto to go to the hospital but he doesnt want to, She doesnt believe he had anything to do with his mothers death but still he doesnt feel like going, She cant believe hes being that cold hearted with his own father and she doesnt recognize that side of Hokuto, He tells her a little bit about how his dad raised her, If he made two mistakes in a test, he would get mad, Those mistakes couldnt happen in real life and he was really strict about it, He laid a path for him and he followed it but hes still mad, Chiwa decides to go back to her old room because she doesnt want to sleep with him again, The next day, seiji is up and she finds out thanks to Soma, She goes to the hospital and hes really pale and thin, Hes going to die soon and Chiwa feels sad for him, She cries because she wasnt able to bring Hokuto but seiji understands, He made mistakes and he wishes he could change his past, He raised Hokuto to be like him so others wouldnt manipulate or destroy him but he wonders if things couldve been different, His illness is a bad one and once the doctors found out it was too late, He doesnt want Hokuto to know and Chiwa tells seiji that she knows he didnt have anything to do with his mothers death, Hes about to say something but Shitara enters the room, They have to leave because seiji feels weaker and Chiwa cries again, Shitara wonders if shes okay because everytime they see each other shes crying, Chiwa is a cheerful person but she feels powerless because she couldnt bring Hokuto, Shitara says that she understands because she knows Hokuto better than her, His driving force is to deny his father and if he does that he would lose his existence, Chiwa is only his wife and she shouldnt impose her values or views on him, She tells her not to get in his way and to be a good wife and Chiwa is devastated, Hokuto gets a call from Shitara because she wants to see his face and she has some documents to drop at his office, One is about work and the other one is about an investigation she made on Chiwa and asahani, Hokuto didnt go home for two days and his clothes were gone, Chiwa is like a ghost and shes making mistakes at work and her colleagues notice it, Sakuraba tells her that he cant look past her mistakes anymore and she should solve her problems and take some rest, She has a free afternoon and she calls Hokuto but he hangs up on her, They meet at the apartment and he looks pale and sad and he faints, Shes about to call the ambulance but he doesnt want to, They talk and she apologizes, He shouldnt deny his existence for her but he wishes he could visit his dad, She wants him to come home and to be with her because she cant live without him, They made up rather quickly and he promises to go back home later on, Shes waiting for him and she made him a bath and later on he calle Shitara, He read everything and that belongs to the past and Chiwa is his wife so she should stay away from their relationship, Shitara believes Chiwa might be cheating on him with her ex boss but Hokuto is fine with it,
Honestly this book is okay, The series overall is fine but nothing extraordinary, What I didnt like about this book is Hokuto slapping Chiwa, They were both jealous but I think that scene was unnecessary, Also i wish we could have seen more of the mamiya family and what Hokuto is doing to take over and be the next chairman, I feel sad for his dad but Im waiting to see if he was involved in his mothers death or if Hokuto was the real target, The end of the volume shows that asahani is probably working with Shitana and he wants to find out about Chiwa and the reason behind her marriage and that would bring a lot of drama.
Overall its good but nothing spectacular This manga could be so good if Hokuto was not an abusive man, Im just about ready to be done with this series, Sometimes I feel that the story is running in circles,

for this one its still a really cute manga series, and I cant wait to read the last three,stars, because this one had more banter but Hokuto ends up slapping Chiwa across the face and they both didnt act like it even really happened I get its the style of writing but I wish they wouldve addressed that part just a smidge more.
Im picky, I think hehe still a “steamy” manga read which I love Chiwa and Hokuto have problems as usual, Hokutos father is ill and they cant agree on whether Hokuto should visit him or not, They have a big fight as a result, Plus, Shitara seems to be trying to break them up for some reason, Why else would she be bringing up their past relationships to each other,I said in my review for the previous volume that I no longer like this couple but Ill still read to the end because Im curious.
However, Im done. I can no longer support this abusive relationship, From the beginning, Hokutos anger flared up yet again and I was already unhappy about this, Pressing a scrapped knee to get the truth is violent interrogation, but my shoujo reading self just skipped through it, However, the straw that broke the camels back is that slap! I was shocked and knew I needed to stop reading this especially if the slap followed by a forceful kiss is explained as love.
I cant. Im so mad.

In addition, this volume starts and immediately Chiwa is just the biggest cry baby and it never ends, I thought we were supposed to believe shes growing a backbone, She is crying the entire volume, but this doesnt make what all these other people in the background are doing justifiable, Everyone is trying to break up their marriage and its all sorts of annoying,

Lastly, its fine for someone to hate family and never reconcile with them, Stop forcing it and listen to your partner and leave him cause hes violent and abusive,/. Im done with this series,.stars!

This is the third book in my little readathon, and I enjoyed reading it.
I do have the next volume, so I will be reading that today as well,
