Okay. The heroine is a makeup “demonstrator” meaning that she acts as both a spokesmodel for the cosmetics company that hired her and also travels through the country running beauty seminars to teach women how to apply makeup and which shades work

best for them.
I guess they hadnt come up with Sephora back then, This leads to a pretty funny moment where the heroine cattily but silently judges the snotnosed wannabe OW for wearing the wrong foundation and unflattering hair dye,

Anyhoo, heroine meets hero when he rearends her car and as a result, she crashes headfirst into a truck that is carrying glass of all things, The glass from the truck and from her own windshield explode into thousands of sharp shards that rain down upon her, scarring her face and her body, She is understandably very traumatized but strangely not angry at the guy who rearended her, just at life in general and her bad luck, Maybe she went easy on him cause he looks like a combination of Tom Selleck and Burt Reynolds Probably,

The rest of the book is the hero stalking her, convinced that they are reincarnated starcrossed lovers on the level of Lancelot and Guinevere and they have finally been given the opportunity to fall in love and be together for eternity.
She keeps running away from him not because of the crazy reincarnation stuff but because she is so insecure in her scarred looks and thinks she looks like a monster.


The verys trope of a Boeinghijacking finally brings these two crazy kids together, Read it if you are looking for a light, unintentionally comical read and somes nostalgia : Unlike most of her novels I found it hard to connect with the characters in this book.
From the moment Casey opened her eyes I found whiny and well whiny, For some reason Garlock was not able to bring across her heroine as a victim but as this shallow whiny little girl, Casey is completely in relatable and Dan is just as confusing to me, Although his intentions are somewhat unclear to me in the beginning, I find it unsettling when begins dialogue with Casey by assuming they are soul mates, Both characters had no chemistry and even less passion between them, I found the book very dry and lacking appropriate emotion, I don't think I will ever read this book again, Příšerná obálka.

The blurb on the cover sounded interesting but the story fell short of my expectations,

Woman who works in the cosmetics industry is in a car wreck and ends up badly scarred, Man who was also in the same multivehicle accident pulls what's left of her from the wreck and falls in love at first sight tons of references to reincarnation making this okay.
In an effort to convince her that she is still beautiful and they should get married he then stalks her, kisses her, convinces her to sleep with him, and bosses her around it's all acceptable though because of the past lives.


I thought this could really have been a good exploration of what it's like to deal with that kind of physical and emotional scarring with the support of unconditional love.
Instead, the guy just gets all huffy any time she tries to deal with her issues, completely invalidates her feelings, and decides what they should do next, Usually by the end of a romance I'm hoping the guy gets the girl, this one I was kind of hoping she'd suggest some relationship counseling before letting it go any further.

Soon we have an obsessed hero who relentlessly pursues a heroine who so desperately wants to give up, I loved Dan and his determination as well as his sense of humor, His family was adorable too,
I didnt mind the heroines obsession with her physical features, as well as her insecurities because her past and profession gave a good reason for her to be it but Im glad she found the perfect man in Dan.
Loved the historic references.
