Grab Marriage On The Edge (The Barons, #1) Translated By Sandra Marton Paperback

this book taught me is you have to let go of your pride and discuss things openly in order to move forward in your marriage/life,
the whole situation could have been resolved by a simple conversation that cristie told Natalie to have with Gabe in the first place, The convenient wife

Gage Baron has made it on his own, He's wealthy, and his marriage seems successful, toountil Natalie leaves him,

Then Gage receives an invitation to his father's Texas estate Jonas obviously has more on his mind than just his eightyfifth birthday celebration, But the possibility he might inherit Espada is less important to Gage than the opportunity to win back Natalie, Jonas will expect to see her, so Gage must ensure that his wife is back by his side, still married to himfor convenience's sake,

THE BARONS
Four brothers: bonded by inheritance, battling for love! Re Marriage on the Edge Sandra Marton starts a new series involving three brothers, these guys are sitelinkThe Barons with special guest appearances by the some of the couples from the sitelinkLandon's Legacy series.

This one features a Texas family and the first couple up is having marital reconciliation romance, The H is Gage and the h is Natalie, When the story starts they have been married for ten years and somehow still haven't found a way to communicate outside of Purple Passion Boudoir Moments,

Natalie and Gage were teenaged lovers who eloped to Vegas, got married and then moved to the East Coast to live a life of Love in a Grotty Flat.

As this is HPlandia and Gage is an HP H, he soon managed to build up a worldwide resort business and eventually Natalie became delegated to Society Trophy and Sex on Tap Stepford Wife when Gage got around to getting home in between business trips.

Then Natalie got preggers and had a miscarriage, She thought Gage did not want a child cause it interfered with his roaming business travel lifestyle and since having kids is her big thing, she withdrew from interacting much with Gage.

Gage sees the withdrawal of Natalie as a rejection of his manly self and her refusal to try for another baby is making him a bit upset, But overall he is busy and he has a lot of resorts and there are always a lot of buxom beach bunnies to look at,

He is faithful tho, so there is that at least,

When the story starts, Natalie has decided that enough is enough and she wants a divorce, Gage only seems to want to be around her for a lurve club event and the rest of the time she may as well not exist,

The two of them arrive separately at a High Society Miami Beach party and while Gage is trying to have an intimate mojo moment in the garden, Natalie decides she is ready to ask for a divorce.

Gage is shocked and they have a bit of a tussle, but Gage doesn't seem to know any actual communicating words, so subsequent events only lead to almost roofie kissing encounters.

Natalie moves out into a grotty flat, she is trying to go the poor, martyred h route, But Gage gets an invitation to his cantankerous father'sth birthday party and he lies to Natalie to get her to go to Texas by telling her his father is ill.

We meet the other two

brothers and Gage's stepsister, who is the only child who loves the ranch, It seems the family powwow was called for because their cantankerous father wants to know which of his sons he should leave his half of Texas to,

None of the brothers want the ranch and the father won't leave it to the stepsister because she isn't a biological relation, There is a Special Guest Appearance when Grant and Crista Landon from sitelinkGuardian Groom show up as party guests, Their marriage is in trouble too,

In spite of some really bad father and brotherly advice about how to stop the break up of his marriage AND despite the stepsister's meddling to get Natalie and Grant to sleep in the same room where once again the lurve club event takes the place of actual talking Natalie and Crista decide to dump the men for the beach in Florida and the two of them take off.

Natalie and Crista start an exclusive jewelry business in Palm Beach, Crista does the designs and Natalie handles the business side of things, it turns out to be a huge success, Natalie also gets to help with Crista's twin daughters until the SM HP Standard Separation Time Period for her main couple has passed,

This is usually about two to three months in HP time and SM uses this in almost all of her books,

Then Grant shows up to haul his wife and daughters home, they worked things out off page, Gage shows up to fall off the roof of the house Natalie is living in and this triggers an I Love You 'Cause You Might Be On Your Death Bed Crisis.

Natalie wears herself out worrying about Gage in hospital and realizing that she still loves him,

Gage gets stitches and an arm sling and then he once again kidnaps Natalie to Texas, Finally afterpages of nothing really happening, Gage and Natalie go to their favorite Texas Isolated Bluff and explain to the other about their take on their situation,

Natalie tells Gage she hates their house that she did not get to decorate, hates the kitchen that she never gets to cook in because they have staff, and really hates that Gage doesn't want a baby because he wants to travel to his resorts all the time.

Gage explains that he really wanted the baby, he was very sad when Natalie lost it, He adds that he missed helping Natalie through the miscarriage cause he was trying to get all the traveling for business out of the way before the baby came and that he really does want kids, but he thought she wasn't that into them.

The two of them agree to get busy on the baby making straight away, so it is Love in the Buff on a Bluff and we leave these two to their HEA.

This one was kinda boring and kinda manipulative, SM is a good writer, but even she was straining and stretching the plot with a lot of filler to keep these two from really communicating,

It really only deserves afor the reunion romance, But tho Gage had some stupid thoughts, he wasn't really a horrible person and he really did love Natalie he just kept putting his foot in his mouth instead of saying it.

So I bumped it up to a three, because it is a little slow to get boiling and only actually makes to a tepid simmer, but it isn't a really horrible HP outing.

The only and huge issue I noticed between them was the poor communication they had, Because they managed to carry their marriage overyears and suddenly she is leaving him, . . for god's sake! I've never been married or even had a serious relationship before but trust and communication are the basics for basically everything, struggle and clashing of wills, . .
the passion and heat which cannot go unnoticed and a marriage which was as good as broken,

After a long time, I have come back to Sandra's books, They never cease to delight and relaxes a reader's mind, I finished it in one night,
My mills and boons days, as I recalled them from my graduation, were decorated by Penny Jordan, Sandra Mmarton, Susan Mallery and other women fiction authors,

Somewhere I think, the fight was too much between Nat and Gage, Somewhere it seemed unneccessary too, but all in all, I am happy to give one night to this one, I loved how both Gage and Nat love each other, Their marriage ofyears was about to collapse because of lack of communication especially after Nat's miscarriage, They were too pride to sit and discuss what really was going wrong with their marriage and instead they played hot n cold, This second chance story kicks off a series about the brothers and stepsister of a Texas patriarch, The H/h married young and have drifted apart after the heroines miscarriage and the heros workaholic habits,

Since they dont communicate, the resentments on both sides build up, Hero hates the house they live in and wants more sex, Heroine is resentful of her role as hostess and charity events organizer and feels neglected,

Heroine announces she wants a divorce while they are at a party, Hero is ready to let her go and they separate, But hero misses her when she moves to Palm Beach with a friend who is also separating from her husband,

Their reconciliation is memorable because the hero falls off the roof of the heroines Palm Beach house and breaks his wrist, High on pain killers he has his private jet fly them to their makeout point in Texas where they first had sex, They finally talk under the Texas sky for an HEA,

Not the worst second chance story, but very predictable, The H/h could have talked this out at any time, but SM needed her page count, I am glad their going to redecorate their house, though,
/stars. The book dragged on with nothing really happening, Moreover, I thought amin convo would've cleared up all the misunderstanding, Gage is so clueless most of the time, . . but then Natalie is so uncommunicative too, I guess for a marriage to work, love is not really enough, With no communication between them, . . well no wonder it fell apart, . .

I'm glad they worked it out in the end, . . both really loved each other so much, .
