Earn Black And White And Dead All Over Crafted By Michael Bradley Offered As Audio Books
love triangles, highprofile politicians, reporters, and murder, All of this put together made for a short, but excellent murder mystery,
You will be kept guessing up until the very last pages who murdered Mary Fleming twentytwo years ago when her body ended up in the basement of a house being moved off of its foundation.
Brian, a reporter for the Newark Observer had covered stories in wars and political conventions, and was known for his thoroughness, And boy was he thorough he was the one who solved the murder of Mary Fleming that the police hadn't been able to solve,
I read this book in one afternoon, It was fastpaced, interesting, creative, and intriguing, Great characters, great storyline, outstanding descriptions of scenes, feelings, and characters, You could feel the drama as you turned each page, This is a mystery writer I will keep an eye on, ENJOY!!/
This book was given to me free of charge for participation in a blog tour in return for an honest review,
It was hard to get invested with the story at first, . . Maybe because mystery isn't my usual genre, . . But once the mystery starts progressing, you feel more attached to the mystery, It was a great story loved the climax except it did seem a tad easy to get confessions, My only negative is that the story seems all over the place in areas it's hard to tell where one scene ends amp another begins it just jumps around.
Overall a really good read, I received a free copy of this novel for my honest review, Brian Wilder thought it was another mundane day at work, Reporting on the move of the old Chandler house, a rather boring story to his photographer Jessica, Rimdale Commercial bought the property and were also to move the house to a vacant spot.
Somehow Brian was determined to make it interesting and informative to his readers, As the hydraulic jacks began lifting the house, the foundation began crumbling, The machines were stopped, as they looked into the debris the saw a skull looking back at them, Fearing the cops wont do a thorough investigation, overcoming demons in the process, Brian Wilder investigates the murder on his own, Although short this was a great suspense novel I enjoyed the background information as I read along, I felt really bad for Brian, seeing how he dealt with his past tragedy, It was sad at times, but a book you just cannot put down, Brian Wilder is known as the “newspaper guy” around Newark, He was spending an ordinary workday covering a local news event on a construction site when a skeleton is uncovered, Brian instantly becomes engrossed with identifying the deceased person, As more information is uncovered, Brian finds himself in the middle of a twentytwo year old buried secret that involves politicians, greed, and a
missing teenage girl, Mary.
Brian has a hard time separating the death of his wife and daughter from the murder of Mary, It becomes personal, and he won't stop until he finds the truth,
I read Black and White and Dead All Over in one sitting, It is definitely one of my favorite mystery reads of, The author, Michael Bradley, did a remarkable job with the characters, and creating a murder mystery that keeps you on your toes, I thoroughly enjoyed the character, Brian, I think he is an intelligent and passionate man who had the necessary courage it took to face the suspects in order for Marys family to receive some type of closure.
One of my favorite things about this novel is how well Bradley balanced telling the story of present day while also looking back, and sharing events that took place twenty years earlier.
The combination flowed perfectly and unraveled an emotional story, From the author of The Case Files of Doyle amp McCraken comes a modern day tale of intrigue and murder, When the skeleton of a teenage girl is uncovered at a construction site in Newark, journalist Brian Wilder must follow a twentytwo year old trail of deceit and lies to uncover the truth behind her death.
While still struggling with his own tragic past, Brian uncovers a haunting secret of passion and anger that could threaten to destroy one of the most powerful political families in Delaware.
Good pace, very readable writing style as an interesting story unfolded, with a variety of believable characters, There's is nothing at all negative I can say about this story, except for the fact that I wish there had been a little bit more of it!
This book contains just the right amount of mystery, intrigue and politics that it totally grips you from the start and is almost impossible to put down.
It's a very fast paced story that packs alot into a small package, The main characters are likeable and easy to relate to and you get a really good feel for them and their background,
The exceptional writing in this book is worth mentioning because it was descriptive in just the right amount without going overboard and bombarding the reader with too many details.
You felt like a part of the story and it was very easy to picture every scene as the book moved forward,
I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author in the future,
Already from page one you are drawn into the story of the new book "Black and White and Dead all over" an interesting name to a excellent fast pace read.
The book begins where a journalist and photographer were standing along side a old house ready to be moved to its new destination only ayards away.
The indept explanation of the whole technical act are explained so that you could get a clear picture of the construction site and what was about to happen.
Then suddenly everything changed as a man discovered that the one side of the foundation is crumbling in and a gruesome sight is revealed,
Brian Wilder, journalist and owner of the newspaper in town, Jessica his freelance photographer and Samuel Jenkins, Chief of Police is drawn into a story of a missing young woman twenty two years ago.
Of a untimely blossoming romance that ended badly,
Finding a mess of ugliness buried so deep that no one could or want to remember, Power hungry politicians that want to buried the case under the rug, Power hungry drunk wife that would do everything to hold on to her position and name,
And you have the makings of a good mystery thriller story,
You meet the mother and father that could never get over the loss of their only daughter, Finding some closure in the sickening plot,
The characters was well defined, each playing their role to create a good read, Strong in their delivery so that you would know who they were as individuals, The nightmares that plagued some to finally relent, telling the truth,
I really liked the main character who lost his own family eight years prior, having compassion for this mother and father doing everything he can to discover the ugly truth.
Even when his own life was threatened he hang in there to gave us a conclusive ending,
