Gather Souls In Peril Crafted By Sherry Gammon Readable In Version

on Souls in Peril

wrenching, sobbed and sobbed through this book, so many familiar circumstances it was like reliving my school life all over again, . . very sad, very emotional but unfortunately oh so very true, A fabulous book, that puts you through an emotional wringer, . not my usual romance but a great YA book that had some very important messages throughout the book, . brilliant. First, I'll say thank you to Sherry,

I absolutely love this book! The perspectives are well thought out, believable, endearing and emotionally developed, Being able to see from all sides provides the reader to get inside the character's minds and the interwoven relationships, This book would be an excellent and valuable teaching tool for English Classes in schools because of way the characters are represented, You read what it's like for each of them, giving a well rounded view to the reader, Again, I loved this book, The bold frankness of the story, the reality of what bullies do to there victims, the angst victims feel, the crushing and debilitating results of their suffering, as well as the truth in hope and help that many don't realize is there because they feel alone, and the awareness that happens when people realize what they thought was 'just a joke' really isn't and is harmful to another, carries well and the message is clear.
Excellent read! Awsome book! If only we all had to live in someone elses "shoes" for just one day wouldn't the world be a different place! This book puts bullying in a whole new light.
This is a story that shows how the kindness of just one person can change someones whole outlook on life, I would recommend this book to anyone but I really think it should be a required read for Jr, high and High school students, Great job Sherry! I look forward to reading more of your work! I loved this book!!! What another fantastic story by Sherry Gammon, I was so hooked on this book I had contemplated taking a day off work just to finish it but I didn't, so I continued to read it later that night until I got to the end.

I loved the whole 'in your body' experience and the way it was written you had Max's POV but there were also the POV from JD as well even when the two souls were together.
I just thought it was brilliant the way Sherry Gammon wrote this book,
It actually reminded me of an old TV programme that I loved as a child Quantum Leap where Sam the main character was always travelling through time but ended up in someone else's body.

Just brilliant, Sherry!!! Makes me wonder though if there will be a sequel Sherry has outdone herself! I really liked this book, The problem of bullying has been around forever and Sherry gives us the chance to see all sides of bullying in this novel, The book was well written, funny and heart wrenching, It was hard to put down, Warning: spoiler alert for the rest of the review, I loved how Max was able to literally walk in JD's shoes and to know how it feels to be awkward athletically and different than the mainstream.
Not only that, but Max felt the same kind of emotions that JD would feel in different situations, This gave Max a true glimpse into the life of JD, Everyone would benefit from reading this book, We have no idea what it is like to be anyone other than ourselves, We don't know why people act the way they do or are the way they are, The only way we can know, is if we had the chance to walk in their shoes, I love Sherry's letter to the reader at the end of the book it beautifully sums everything up, I think every teenager should read this book, Probably every adult too. The main focus of this book is on bullying which is a major problem among youth and adults alike, Bullying is not okay. Ever.

This books is full of hard, real life challenges, It deals with abuse physical and sexual, death, suicide, and of course, bullying, Some scenes are more graphic in nature, Parents should be cautioned in allowing younger teens to read this,

This is not an easy book to read, I was angry and I was sad, But hopeful too. We cannot allow bullying. If we see it, we need to step in and help, Everyone deserves a safe place to be, Everyone deserves to be loved, Kudos to the author for tackling such a difficult subject and dealing with it in a relevant way for teenagers, I am not even sure where to start, writing about this wonderful book, At first I wasnt too sure that I would get into it, however the way that Sherry introduced the characters made me love them automatically.
Then the first BIG thing happened and I litteraly had my mouth open for a long time, in shock of the event but also not knowing where this book is going to go.
This book touches down on some serious issues that everyone deals with in Life and I feel that Sherry has done it justice, She was truthful and raw about it and in some chapters I didnt know if I could continue the book but I could not put it down, It was sooooo good.
The characters are amazing in this book, Max I fell in love with because he is a highschool boy but has a Heart of a grown Lovable man, and Emma is a true sweetheart.
JD omgosh I felt for him so much, . . and it made be think about real life and how this happens everday, Once I got into the book I couldnt put it down, I wanted to know what will happen next, and how Max and JD will work together, I cried several times in the book, I laughed and smiled, however as I was reading the last chapter I was balwing.
. . HUGE uncontrolable tears and hiperwentaliing, I have not done that with a book I dont think EVER, I have cried yes and balwed but this was uncontrolling, and as I read the last sentance I smiled, So thank you Sherry Gammon you are truly a fantastic writer and I can not wait to read more of your books, I recommed this book for everyone, Mothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Brothers and Fathers and young adults as everyone needs to read it and maybe it will teach us something.
. .
Thanks Again Sherry I adore you, you are one talented Woman!!
ltTéa Pleic The major themes in both of Sherry Gammon's books concern bullying, which, unfortunately today, is a very common occurrence in the world, and these books show the perspectives of the victims and the bullies and show throughout the course of the book the error of their ways and even shows that life is tough, harder for some people than others, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel Hope.
As heartbreaking as some of the events in Souls in Peril are, the main theme that readers should take from this book is that there is hope.
People can change and be made to face their actions and hopefully become better people after, Souls in Peril was a hard book to read at times, but it was written with great feeling and passion about ending bullying which is great and as hard as it was to read, it was a book everybody should read.
WOWWZA!!! I love all of Sherry's work and this book was no different, It was "Heaven Can Wait" meets "Freaky Friday" in a wonderful mesh of writing that brought to light the evils and peril of bullies from the inside out! While the content was serious, the smattering of humor kept the right amount of "lightness" to a more than ugly subjects.
It makes one stand up and take stock of how we treat others in our lives,

I feel every child age twelve to eighteen should have this book as required reading, along with their parents! Well done, Sherry, well done!!! WOW! It has been a while since I have read a book that caused me to experience so many emotionsjoy, excitement, passion, despair, perseverance, fear, remorse, love, devastation, sadness, determination, embarrassment, regret, with the underlying message throughout the book of “never give up.
” A must read for all teens amp preteens!

Sherry takes you on an amazing journey as the most popular athlete, who has everything going for him, experiences the least popular kids life.

Wow, where do I begin with this review Yet again author Sherry Gammon totally blew my mind with one of her books, When I read and reviewed Sherry's first novel "Unlovable" back in November of last year I was absolutely smitten with the story, I honestly never thought she would do it again with Souls in Peril and write a literary masterpiece, This is one of those books that will stick with you long after your done reading it and as I told Sherry it very well might be the BEST book I have read in.

The story begins where we meet a very "popular" high school kid named, Max Sanchez, He has a awesome life, A Mom and Dad who dearly love and support him, A wonderful, loving and sweet girlfriend named Emma McKay, Everything is perfect for Max and Emma, Both soon to graduate and begin their lives together,

Then there's the not so lucky, A boy named JD or "Lumpy Larry", who the mean kids nickname him at school and his best friend Izzy or "Icky Izzy", They both struggle with the day in day out abuse and bulling at school and at home, At home JD deals with his Mother's abusive boyfriend, Who does everything from calling him names to psychically beats JD, Poor Izzy's home life is no better, She is being molested by her creep of a Father all the while dealing with a sickness that is slowly killing her,

One night after a dinner date with Emma at Max's parents house they decided to go out for some frozen yogurt at a place nearby.
Although Emma chooses to go home for the night, Max and his parents still go out, On their way home Max and his Mom and Dad get into a tragic car accident in which not one of them survive, So when Max wakes up in limbo not knowing what has happen, he finds his perfect world torn into shreds, While his parents make it into heaven, Max comes to find he shouldn't have died that night along side his parents, Gabe who is a angel explains this mishap and offers Max a deal, Gabe will grant Max a period of time to go back down to earth and fix a life for someone in desperate need with the added bonus to see Emma again.
This Soul in Peril just so happens to be JD "Lumpy Larry" who Max finds out was somehow involved in the car accident as well.
Max will be living in JD's body, he can think for himself as well as move for JD, His main goal is to find a way to help JD become strong, find HOPE and overcome the bullies and the beatings even if it kills him.
Again!

I don't want to give anymore away because I want any new readers to this story to find out what happens to Max/JD, Emma, and Izzy through the course of the book.
To feel and experience what JD/Max had to deal with and fight up against, The story is so deep and there are so much more that happens than what I wrote above, Souls in Peril touched my heart more than any book ever has, I love a book that once done reading it you feel like you can walk away lighter and uplifted, Sherry writes this story for both a bully and those who are bullied can find find hope or see the errors of their wrong ways.
The story truly spoke to me and touched my soul, In The beginning of the book I was hooked, and left breathless, In the end I was blown away and left in tears, One of the many wonderful things I loved about Souls in Peril is Sherry's ability to have such

an expressive writing style, The reader can sense and feel every raw emotion good or bad during the book, She made me feel like I was right there in the book living through JD,

I cannot recommend this book enough to everyone, Trust me, read it and tell me you did not shed a tear or learn something about yourself, Being bullied myself most of my life during school was so very hard for me, some days I just wanted to give up, I just wish I would have had THIS book for me to read when I too was a Soul in Peril, Yes, I know this is one of my longest reviews, and if you have read it up to now then give yourself a gold star.
All kidding aside please, please, please read this beautiful book, I guarantee you'll not regret it,
