Feel the Heat is the fifth book in the Phoenix Agency series by Desiree Holt.
While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel, I have liked all of Ms, Holts books and had not read anything in this series yet so I wanted to give it a try,

Lauren Cahill is a psychic healer who does it for free for those who she can help, She refuses to take any money, She has a day job that supports her, She came across as honest and willing to help those she could at whatever personal cost to her,

Troy Arsenault seems like the perfect person for her, He believes in psych ability, which is a big hurdle for Lauren because it was an issue growing up, He also supports her even when he sees the personal cost it takes on her, He is a hot and sexy guy who seems to fall for lauren at first sight,

The chemistry between Lauren and Troy is blistering hot, The sex scenes were smoking hot, They are a good match, I loved that they did not fight there attraction to each other,

I loved this story, This story had me hooked right from the beginning and did not let go until the very end, While I have not read the rest of the books in this series, I will soon be fixing that, I was amazed by how realistic this story was portrayed, It was easy to tell the time and attention that was put into writing this story,

You can really "feel the heat" in this book, Outstanding action packed romantic suspense with a twist of paranormal, Ms. Holt has done it yet again with theth installment of The Phoenix Agency series, Feel the Heat, This intriguing story is filled with excitement, action, danger, suspense, humor and scorching hot romance, The characters are likeable and easy to connect with and the storyline is strong with a few surprises that will keep the adrenaline pumping as you read.
Troy and Summers story is an thrilling ride that will keep you engaged until the end,

Summer Cahill is a psychic touch healer and graphic designer who lives a solitary, quiet life trying to stay out of the spotlight.
She uses a pseudonym for work to keep her business and clients separate from her personal life and any possible backlash concerning her gift.
Over the years she has been mocked, shunned and hounded by reporters and people in general thinking she is a freak or threat and even has her own personal stalker.
Aside from letters and lewd calls he has been relatively harmless until a recent event causes him to lash out and become more violent.
Adding to that, the media vultures are staking out her house and harassing her and this time it has escalated to a scary level.

Concerned for her safety, he accepts their request to check on her and help beef up her security, The attraction is immediate and mutual and he has to be on top of his game to keep her safe, The stakes could not be higher and it is now extremely personal for him and he cannot afford to make a mistake, Calling in his teammates they work together to find and eliminate the threat so he and Summer can look to the future, But there is still an evil lurking in the shadows and they are unaware and unprepared, It is all hands on deck as he and the others race to find her before it is too late, She is his everything and he will do whatever it takes to bring her home, I really wish this author had a good editor or someone to read over her work for errors and logic, but I still read them.

The heart wrenching ups and downs of this book is enough to make you feel all of the range of emotions.

Troy and summer have a wonderful relationship built on love and wanting to protect one another, She heals and he protects, The chemistry between main character Lauren and Troy hot and the love scenes were amazing, Lauren works from home on her computer for her daytoday job, She can heal the very sick with her abilities, She never accepts money for her healing, The book is amazing. When I started reading I couldn't put it down, Summer

Exciting adventure hot romance good series he protects her at all costs they fall in love wonderful happy ending onto the next one Summer Cahill can heal with her very own energy.
She isn't always successful amp there are some things she cannot fix but she very rarely turns down a case where she thinks she can help.
Unlike other healers she does not charge for her services and only wishes to remain anonymous, But she has been named in the media and every time her name gets out, her life becomes a circus,

When her friend Mia realises she is in big trouble with a stalker, Troy is deployed to help out, He feels an instant connection to his charge and quickly the lines between business and pleasure are blurred! Troy isn't put off by her abilities and she finally feels that she has a chance at long lasting love, no matter how quickly they fell and how deep.
But is Summer's stalker the only possible blight to their happiness Will a so far silent but deadly foe interrupt their love

Great story with very "realfeel" characters.
The psychic abilities appear very well researched and I love how both Summer and Troy question if what they feel is real or just adrenaline fuelled.
Lovely to catch up with the other couples and the whole sub plot with a certain nasty "collector" was superb!,Stars Feel the Heat

is another fabulous addition to the Phoenix Agency series, This romantic suspense has an engaging plot and the chemistry between Lauren and Troy steams off the pages, I look forward to reading more and will definitely recommend this book and series to readers, Summer has a gift. And although her parents wish she would ignore it, Summer feels the need to help others, But when her skills lead to crossing paths with a stalker, can Summer survive and have a future

Feel the Heat is fifth in Desiree Holts The Phoenix Agency series.
This is a rerelease and is just as enjoyable after a reread, I love this series by Ms, Holt. Summer is a strong female character that is special, Her skills have caused others to view her poorly but she perseveres, I love that in spite of her parents or the media Summer does what she mustand she does it because it is the right thing to do.
And meeting Troy feels like her reward, Troy never expected to find love, especially with someone gifted, I love that his skill set and Summers gift mesh, I love that while the chemistry between Troy and Summer is almost instantaneous their emotions for each other grow outside of the sex.
Troy respected what Summer brings to the table, even if he doesnt understand it, I love that Ms. Holt showed the growth of Summer and Troys relationship, even as they wrestled with the danger that stalked Summer, I also loved seeing the support both received from their friends when danger popped up unexpectedly, This story is well written and full of twists and turns, The characters felt real and likable, I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series and cant wait to see where Ms, Holt will take us next,

Five Shooting Stars Another suspenseful and thrilling read about the intense and mysterious Phoenix Agency, The psychic aspect of this book makes me enjoy it even more, Summer is a psychic touch healer that has a stalker that doesn't agree with her powers and wants to end them but the Phoenix Agency is friends of hers that won't let that happen, especially, Troy Will their relationship last through the crazies out there wanting to hurt Summer or will they be stopped in time The powerful connection between Summer and Troy is fun to follow as the meet and as their connection strengthens.
Desiree Holt made this book sizzle with the hot, scorching words used to describe the scenes between Summer and Troy and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Thank you NetGalley and Desiree Holt for letting me read and review this book, needs some editing : confusion between the characters and their relationship, Otherwise, I liked the plot, This book is my first book form Desiree Holt and surely won't be the last, I'm planning on read all the books from this Phoenix Agency series.

This is theth book from the series, but can totally read as a standalone, it doesn't take much to catch up about the Agency, although it makes me want to read other couples stories, I'm fine with it, I don't feel like I'm missing something.

A psychic healer and an exSEAL story, oh yeah I got hooked from the beginning,
The combinations of actions, suspence and hot sexy instalove story with some twists, makes me can't put it down,

As for the characters, I loveeee Troy, he's one hot hero, love how he protective he is and will do anything to keep Summer safe.

And Summer, she's one selfless woman and has kind heart, I really admire this girl, she might look so fragile, but she's a strong woman.

These two are perfect for each other, they're completed each other, Definitely one of my couples,

Yeah, this book had me in a squeeze, . . This was the fourth book I've read from the Phoenix Agency Series, And every part my rating went up with a star, So, I already reached the five with Freeze Frame, And then came Feel the Heat and it wasn't bad, but it was no five star book either, But maybe that's just by comparison with the previous part, With Freeze Frame, the tension went through the roof and with Feel the Heat, well, it was less hot,

Summer Cahill is a lovely woman, who tries to hide her gift from the outside world, She is able to heal people with her touch, However, not everybody believes her ability and some make it their job to cause a riot near her home and call her a charlatan or worse.
So, when the stalking grows worse, her friend Mia yep, the one from ExtraSensory offers to have someone from the Phoenix Agency come over and install some extra safety measures.


Troy, one of the last single guys of the Phoenix Agency didn't expect to feel an instant attraction to Mia's friend.
He flew out to her home as a favour to Dan and Mia to help some woman install a safety system to protect her from some stalkers.
But after meeting sweet and caring Summer, Troy decides to hang around for a while, because he wants to know her better,

Together they face the stalkers, but when they believe the nightmare is over, it is actually just beginning, Summer is kidnapped and Troy has to call in his friends from the Phoenix Agency to help him find his true love, before the romance is over even before it really started.


The story is wonderful, the characters are great, but the story didn't keep my on the edge of my seat, like Freeze Frame.
So this time, only four out of five from me, With a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc,
