Secure And Then It Happened: An Unexpected Romance Originated By Annie Green Paperback

has this book not gotten more attention I loved it! Many have compared it to Neighbor From Hell, or Wallbanger, because the main characters are neighbors and their relationship starts out with the heroine kept awake by the hero's sexual activities and loud music.
And while I see similarities, they're different from this, Firstly, this was much better than Neighbor From Hell, The hero wasn't annoying and obsessed with food, and he wasn't crass either, No, Adrian Thatcher was a sexy, vulnerable and sweet man, I loved him, never once did I veer from that.

So basically, Jane lives next door to Adrian and finally after months of irritation, she confronts him at his door.
They verbally spar but something in their interaction sparks Adrian's interest, maybe even from before, All of a sudden, he's popping up everywhere, and wants to hang out with Jane all the time, Jane however has been burned before, and Adrian is almost an 'unattainable' type guy, so she pretty much keeps him at arms length the majority of the book.
She had insecurities I understood completely, and used indifference to cover them up, but she was sometimes overly cruel and vicious in her remarks to him.
I did want to slap her of course because Adrian was such a sweet and funny guy, Yes, he was a bit of a manwhore before her, and Jane had a hard time getting passed that, but her scathing comments were harsh.

Adrian, oh wonderful Adrian, . . sigh. There were times I teared up because he was so tender, so conscious of Jane's feelings, All he wanted was for Jane to admit things to herself, be honest with her feelings, His gestures, his actions, his honesty, loved it, Jane did grovel towards the end, and I think she deserved to suffer a bit more for what she had said and done, but Adrian was wonderful yet again.

Several secondary characters peaked my interest and I hope the author continues this series with their stories.
Adrian has a couple of brothers and a best friend, so lots to work with, The ending was lovely and there was an epilogue, but I wish I got a look further into their future.
This was one of those books I was hooked on from the first few pages, The relationship development between Adrian and Jane was beautiful, the sexual tension off the charts! It was funny, sweet, romantic and hot.
The sexting was a riot! More people really need to read this, I loved it, I adore this book! What a pleasant surprise! I loved the way this story progressed and I couldn't put this book down.
It was funny, sweet, charming, and sexy, This book reminded me a bit of Wallbanger by Alice Clayton one of my alltime favorite books ever! I think the author could make a series out of this I would love to read more about Adrian's brothers.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it! Perhaps in her next book, the author should make her main female character so obtuse and whingy.
She grew annoying. I am a huge sucker for books with neighbors hating each other then want to rip their clothes off each other.
. .

but this was actually WALLBANGER meets PLAYING FOR KEEPS!

Literallly, . . From wall banging, to texting/sexting, to can't fall asleep in bed without you even though we are only friends, to her not having that O, to him being player.
. . so many same things .

And I did kinda like it, but something just felt off, . . Kinda didn't feel how their "relationship" progressed and she started to irritate me so much, especially when she put words in his mouth even though he told her how wrong she is.
But no. . she knows everythng, she is the smartest person, . . And then apologizing to him because she was stupid, . she actually was very stupid, . .

Just can't get over so many similarities, . .
This book was almost a DNF for me, Due to the massive size of my TBR pile, I'm no longer slogging through books that don't make me want to read them by the third chapter.
This one almost lost me the moment the H, Adrian, sent the h, Jane, a vibrator,

Seriously. The guy, her next door neighbor she despises but secretly crushes on, sends her a mailorder vibrator by the second chapter.
It was a bit creepy, but then you start to get to know Adrian, It fit his personality, which is brash, He's also a manwhore, which isn't my favorite type of H in a romance, By then end of the book, however, I was glad I stuck with it and I liked the Adrian that was hidden under all the sex talk and shallow onenighters.

There is a lot of sex talk in this book almost to the point of it being more an erotica romance instead of a heated romance.
The sex itself, however, isn't actually all that explicit, and much of it is fade to black / left to your imagination.
Adrian gives you plenty to imagine, however, so you aren't left wanting for tension and heated moments,

The h, Jane I had a meh feeling towards here much of the time, but I liked how she stood her ground mostly with Adrian and didn't give into his crap.
She was a bit floundery at points, There was some sense that she was exploring her sexuality, growing in her understandings of what she wanted and was willing to go after.
She was just a tad too stubborn for the sake of plot in some places,

The plot of the book is all about Adrian and Jane's development of enemy to friends to friends with benefits to more.
. . with no real sub plot or story, aside from Jane's art, Craig and Adrian's family,

It was a good palatecleanser, and it was only, so I say give it a read, give it a few chapters to grow on you, and be prepared for lots and lots of sex talk.
this book was such a cute and enjoyable read that i just had to write a review,

just started it today and finished it now so im all hyped up with the ending of it hehe

Anyways heheh where was i.
. . right , it was so quirky and funny that i would wish for a relationship like theres one day, this type of relationship is something i want someday, the cutey and yet totally hot fun that you couldn't go a day without.

this book was just a random find and it sounded interesting so i was like, "WHY NOT!" and to be honest this book was totally worth it, it made me laugh in all the right places and made me hot and flustered in all the.
. . coughs we you know haha, but most of all, it made me hope that jane would get off her high horse and finally tell adrian that she liked/loved him.

i would like to see another book about august and daisy's story and i can honestly say that i will be overjoyed if you did write another follow up to this book, my fingers are crossed and probably other peoples too, for the next brilliant
Secure And Then It Happened: An Unexpected Romance Originated By Annie Green Paperback
book that you mind can think up.

Je xx Sexy and enjoyable read, i read it again this year bc i like the story of this one, I had to force myself to finish this book, The whiny, insecure, twit of a heroine ruined what otherwise might have been a mildly amusing story, Jane woods seriously hates her neighbor, The constant sex and obnoxiously loud music is driving her crazy, And even though he is a bonafide sex god perfect hair and body included, he is the last man on earth she would ever fall in love with.

That is until he starts showing up everywhere, making her laugh and buying her presents, And then the unexpected happens, . .
She actually starts to like him,
But can she overcome her broken heart and overlook his wild past to trust the man who is making all her wildest dreams come true
