Out of thereads for Brides of the Kindred this one just got pushed up to theposition for favorites.
And thats a pretty amazing feat considering this series is absolutely fantastic, The characters, the different worlds they come from and the obstacles they face when claiming their brides,

Youre going to think Im nuts when I say this was really really a sweet love story, I know, how can a paranormal read be sweet, trust me this one is, Now dont get me wrong its definitely and emotional read and talk about twists and turns, hot and cold, feeling and not feeling.
Im surprised MeiLi didnt end up with whip lash,

MeiLi Hastings a Social Worker for children at risk, Shes a petite young woman and her outwardly appearance makes her seem weak and unable to defend or take care of herself, But dont judge a book by its cover, She is totally capable of standing up to the best of them when she has to, Has a huge heart and always seems to give the families the benefit of the doubt or lets say and chance if she sees they are making an attempt.
She would rather keep the children with their families if shes sure they are not in danger, Shes not afraid to roll up her sleeves and give a helping hand when needed, MeiLi has a few body image hang ups/insecurities because shes so tiny and really hasnt dated in a while, One other thing she happens to be the adopted daughter of Senator Hastings, who also happens to sit on The World Council, So when MeiLi starts having nightmares which turns out shes dream sharing with a dark Kindred you can only imagine the reaction her adopted father is having.


Six is what they call a Dark Kindred from Zeaga, Most inhabitants are either organics with enhancements and emotion dampers, or created in test tubes or half machine and half organic / testtube created, or just straight up robots.
No one and I mean no one on Zeagahas feelings or emotions what so ever, The planet has no color just straight up cold and bland, In fact its against their laws to show or feel, Anyone caught committing a feelcrime is purged nice way of saying eliminated, killed, They dont seek out their mates because there is no reason when they feel nothing, So now you see when Six starts dream sharing with a human female he is totally unprepared for what happens, When he is ordered by his superior “one” head of the Collective to claim his human bride and bring her to Zfor the claiming period he figures hell go through the motions and then send her back to earth.
And its at this point that you need to prepare yourself for an emotional ride unlike anything youve experienced before, Talk about whip lash.
Poor MeiLi is hurt more than once by Sixs actions and words, Shes falling for the big lug and she tries her dammedest ok not a word but whatever to keep her feelings in check so he doesnt break her heart.


I dont want to give the read up I want all the readers to enjoy this book as much as I did.
BUT I will give you a little teaser, During a confrontation with Two, MeiLi and Six, Two has hold of MeiLi and sticks her with a needle full of an emotion damper drug which is guarantee to never fail and cant be reversed never say never Six makes a decision to help/ save MeiLi that could leave him insane.
Okay from this point on I totally choked and literally started crying, Had to stop wipe the tears and go grab a ciggy, Just a warning thats how emotional this scene was, Evangelineand wish I could give you higher, I so cant wait for Cursed, But based on the two chapter teaser Im thinking Ill def need tissues for that read also, Im hoping Stavros isnt the cursed one that needs to be sacrificed,


I normally am not captivated by a story right from the start, But with this story, I LOVED it!

This story centres around MeiLi, who is a Human that is dream sharing with a Dark Kindred a type of Kindred who have no emotions and are "Enhanced".
Dream sharing with a Kindred who has no emotions should be impossible, They are not supposed to be able to form a Soul Bond with a Female of their choice,

MeiLi is a petite Social Worker with an overbearing father on Earth's World council who is determined to end the Draft that allows Kindred to call Earth Females are their Brides.
He is determined to protect his daughter at all costs including the very real threat of going to War with the Kindred Mother Ship

Six, is a Dark Kindred.
He has been on ZeagaZsince he wasCycles old, Anyone who comes to Zusually does not want their pasts to be remembered, Zis an oppressed world where "FeelCrimes" are outlawed and made criminal, NO ONE steps foot on Zwithout an emotion damper or an enhancement, The Collective are a Mechanized race who believed Feelings and Emotions were the reason War broke out on Zmany years ago, Since then they have taken over and most people who obide by The Collective are happy to be soulless and void of emotion.
That is, until they realise the the Emotion Dampers don't always keep the Feelings at bay,

Ordered to carry out their Claiming period on Z, MeiLi and Six are faced with many obstacles that neither one of them are happy about.
Navigating around emotions and oppressing feelings is what Six does best, Yet in the presence of MeiLi, he starts to uncover a world of feelings and emotions, You would think this is a good thing however there was a reason Six wanted to forget his past,

Over the course of the book we realise there are many forces at play, You have the Mother Ship and the unease they are creating with Earth, The Chancellor of the Kindred in acting strange, The World Council of Earth has outlawed the Draft and all Kindred on Earth, The Females on the Mother Ship are concerned about what will happen with their families and Earth if was does break out, On Z, Six and MeiLi are facing the real threat the Two, is not really who you think he is, Oh and Ur Do not forget about the Shadow Demon Ur, He is stirring all of this mess, right into a mixture of hurt, pain and suffering while he rubs is hands in Glee.


This book is definitely packed with heartfelt emotions, pain, suffering, twists, turns and surprises,
Getting ready for war with Earth was not something the Kindred wanted, But with Ur forcing the hand through the Chancellor of the Kindred Council, they are unaware of what is coming their way until it is too late.


I do believe we are in for some fantastic political debates and a small war front in the books to come.
I was not really impressed with the Villans up until now, and am quite surprised with the Shadow Demon Plot, and the new Villan Plot that is uncovered at the end of this book.
I always look forward to seeing if their is a prophecy or a way to fix the problems that either individual people face or the Kindred face.
Just when you think they may have a break through, something else gets thrown at them,

The only thing I did not like about this book was the Mechanized feeling, or unfeeling I a BIG Feeler, and did not like the feel of the characters and the plant, I know it was specifically designed this way, but it felt dull, grey and boring, It was well thought out and executed I will give the Author that, But this is just not my personal style for a planet, It is different, but just not me, The medical Barges were a nice touch though, especially getting to meet Yipper!

I am looking forward to reading more of the Kindred Series The Brides of Kindred series continues to impress.
I am so in love with these books, I just can't get enough of the big gorgeous warriors, They are every woman's dream man, If only there were men who really possessed qualities like the Kindred, The divorce rate would be drastically reduced!!! Didn't think I was going to be down with the whole sexycyborg thing, . . but this was an excellent addition to the series I mean, let's be honest, . . it still wasn't up to Sylvan standards, . . but I don't think it's possible to top that one, for me anyway, Love, love, loved Six! And cannot even wait for Stavros, . . let's get to it :p This book was better than I thought it would be, Not my favorite but this series never disappoints, Onto the next one! sitelink


MeiLi Hastings has been dream sharing with a Kindred, only he has not the type of Kindred warrior that she knows about.
He is one of the Dark Kindred, a Kindred who has swapped his emotions for metal enhancements and logic, Six is not happy with the dream sharing with the small human, he joined the Dark Kindred and the Collective to get rid of his emotions and MeiLi seems to stir up all sorts of instincts, as well as memories that he would rather never see again.
But, due to political maneuvering Six is ordered to claim MeiLi and take her through the full claiming period, all whilst keeping his emotions inhibited, however, having the small and fiery Mei with him makes it impossible to keep a lid on his desires and his memories.


I admit I am in this series for the sexy aliens and their penchant for worshiping their mate, regularly and with tongue.
This book didn't disappoint. Once again Evangeline Anderson gives me exactly what I want, a sexy romance that leaves me drooling and looking up to the hoping to be beamed up.
So although this may not be my favourite in the series, that didn't mean I didn't enjoy it,

Normally I am not a fan of the angst ridden, emotionally scarred and broody type of hero but Six did manage to break my heart a little bit with his past and the reasons he got himself an emotional inhibitor.
And I loved seeing MeiLi break down his defenses and get through to his emotions, Of course a fantastic way to get past his defenses is to get hot and heavy, they do say the way to a mans heart is straight through his.
never mind. The sex scenes between them were hot, Evangeline Anderson excels at making her aliens delicious dirty talkers with some serious skills, Even the virgin ones

This isn't a series that can really be read alone, it is a much better, and less confusing experience to read them in order.
There is a lot of political unrest in this book and I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what will happen next and who will be pairing up next.
Wow so much better than expected

I'm not sure why I didn't think I would love this book in the series.
I put off reading it until a few days ago and now I wished I'd read it ages ago, I loved it! Mei Lei and six are now one of my favorite couples, The story was compelling ,heartbreaking,and passionate all at once, The story of way Six chooses to get rid of all emotion will bring you to tears and give you an understanding of why someone would want that.
Then watching him relearn to feel and experience deep heart felt emotion again for Mei Lei and what sacrifices he's willing to make truly make me wish for a kindred of my very own.
Main characters: Six and MeiLi
Type of Kindred bonding: Dark Kindred and Tyga

The story of emotionless Enhanced One Dark Kindred Six and the fragile sweet Earthling MeiLi.

This series never stop surprising me,
The books are both excellent scifi and excellent erotica fiction, The writer seems to have good ideas all the time and the way the story continues since bookis never boring, I am looking forward each time I start a new book to reading about new weird aliens, planets, instruments, spaceships, food creators, strange tastes and textures.
It is obvious that the writer has a scientific background and a huge imagination :
Also it is interesting how many different ways there are which are describing the tongueworshipping by the Kindred warriors.
This never gets boring as well, Each time is a new experience,
So, this book is not an exception,

It is great scifi and it is great erotica fiction,
Six lives in Zeaga, Zis a futuristic planet ruled by the Collectives with inhabitants semirobots looking like robocops and terminators, Six is carrying an emotional damber which was applied by Yipper, a little Tolleg, who is a natural surgeon ie, He uses his tongue as a surgical instrument to perform surgeries, The damber helps Six not waking up his memories, not to be out of control emotionally and basically it helps him to control the pain of the memories of his past life.
The emotional damber is actually a must at the Zplanet,
But Six is paired with MeiLi by the goddess and suddenly he starts falling helplessly in his doom, He feels like "he is falling in the abyss, his body will be broken and his soul will be laid bare and exposed and he does not wish to stop".
Ok, the thing is that Six is a virgin and he falls in love for first time, He is totally disorientated and scared, Anyway he will survive : MeiLi is a good match, . .
There is also a perfect bad guy in the book, I loved the joke with the names, Two wants to be One in One's place,
The shadow twin Kindred with silver hair and silver eyes sounds like an interesting addition to the Kindred warriors selection, I really hope there will be a book about such a warrior later on,
