While it does drag in some spots, mainly to serve as a calm before chaos, and slightly more predictable than other Middle Grade Fiction, it does give a great perspective into historical elements, peoples, events, and lifestyles that
are an easy learning tool for kids and grownups unfamiliar with the times to understand.
I'd recommend the whole series for those diehard reader fans of Boxcar Children, Hardy Boys and for its fast paced plot full of twists, to fans of Jennifer A.
