Now that I've read this fourth book in the right order it's not confusing at all as others come to terrorize the family.
Tory and Nate reach out to the Carlsons for help when they discover what could be more warheads, The family gather and canvas the different GPS locations to find any clues,
The twins have gotten back together with the other twins but Ava is playing hard to getyou have to earn the right the talk to her after what was done to her.
Love how she calls the animals and all the travel and new places to explore, Also love the cave system where Precious is taking care of Caleb back home,
Lots of action, adventure, travel, romance and nuclear warhead mysteries and so much moresomething for everyone,
Love the ending bittersweet and didn't see the Broken Arrow occurring, what a strategy and love how Ava manipulates others, Sorry to see the series end,
bought the ebook version although I have a signed hardbound from the author,
Desperate Farm
Just into this book a few chapters and love it, Sorry I had not read the previous books but the plot is coming together as we are brought up to date, Characters are a bit confusing, feel like they are coming at me in tenfold and I don't know who is even on whose side.
So many mysteries, KGB, hidden warheads, relationships with the twins, nature and the outdoors really appeal to me, So happy to learn of all the new places we've yet to explore and new things: elk and the hunts, etc,
The family is on the trail to find the warheads that are pinpointed with lat/long 's on Alex's map that the kids have inherited.
Like the plot and how the author keeps the book moving along as we go from location to location and it does get linked along the way.
Descriptions of the trails and scenery are so detailed I feel I am
right there with them, Love all the indepth things about just every location they travel to, A surprise ending, for me and love the fast paced military based action romantic read,

The fourth novel in the Farm Series “Desperate Farm” is a strong and fitting continuation of the series, The book revolves around the adventures of the Carlson family and appropriately begins soon after the conclusion of his last novel “Blue Farm.
” The novel opens with action, as the family needs to defend itself against terrorists trying to infiltrate their home, Soon after, twins Jack and Ava receive a call from their first loves, Nate and Tory, and the real action begins, Most of the novel then shifts to the American West where with help of an old friend, Orvel, the Carson family once again defends America against its enemies.
Overall, this is another great read written by Dr, Anderson. One thing that really stands out in his novels is the descriptive nature of his writing, From medicine, to weapons, to elk hunting, his prose is so very illustrative that you are truly able to create a vivid scene in your head, which along with strong character development leads to a rich and rewarding reading experience.
If you love action, suspense, politics, the American West, hunting and even a little romance, you will really enjoy this work of fiction.
Desperate Farm by author Charles C, Anderson is another actionpacked thriller, a terrific addition to Andersons series of books about the life and adventures of exSEAL and emergency physician, fortysix year old Andy Carlson.
In Nuclear Farm, Carlson and other members of his family, like his wife, Lindsey, and two teen children, Jack and Ava, searched for nuclear bombs terrorists had planted around the country and had to disarm them.
The family again faces the threat of nuclear weapons in Desperate Farm, in perhaps the most exciting and memorable book in the series so far.
Desperate Farm opens with action, and the suspense and thrills never let up, Andy and his wife have to face the danger that multiple intruders who have broken into their home on their plantation, the, acre “Farm” of the series, pose.
The main house is linked to an ancient system of tunnels and natural caverns that exists underneath the Farm, The caverns and tunnels have had many uses over the centuries since thes, like storing supplies, hiding from enemies, and even possibly hiding treasure.
Andy knows the tunnels and caverns like the back of his own hand, He sets up booby traps like a Claymore landmine in one of the tunnels to take out as many of the people who are after him as possible, disguising it underneath a box of Cheerios.
Andy does not know at the time if the intruders are possibly Russian KGB agents, Iranians, or maybe CIA operatives, The Carlsons have had their share of problems from each of these threats before,
Lindsey, a former CIA operative who is also an expert with weapons and handtohand combat, has remained in the house, She communicates with her husband via walkietalkie, and it is her job to dispatch anyone who has not found his or her way down into the tunnels yet.
She kills a woman who had been using their toilet when the others had disappeared behind the armoire that led to access of the Sparkle Room of the cave complex underneath their house.
In the novel before Desperate Farm, called Blue Farm, the Carlsons youngest son, Pee Wee, was kidnapped and murdered, The Carlsons had thought for awhile that criminals, or the Russians or Iranians might have been behind the kidnapping but, eventually they learned that the CIA had pulled it off.
Since Pee Wees death, Andy and Lindsey had another son, Caleb, who is still an infant in Desperate Farm,
When the motion detector first went off and alerted Andy and his wife that intruders had broken into their house, Andy hoped that they would not turn out to be Nate and Tory, the two love interests of their Jack and Ava from Blue Farm.
Fortunately, Nate and Tory were not among the intruders, and they both play key roles later in Desperate Farm, as the Carlsonsyearold twins take them to the Elk Farm in New Mexico, where they hunt for elk and are hunted by Russians and Iranians who had joined forces and raced after them in SUVs.
Andy surmises that the intruders are likely searching for nuclear warheads that they believe the Carlsons have hidden about the Farm located in central Virginia.
The way that he and his wife dispatch the intruders is pretty amazing, and it is just a glimpse at the exciting plot to come.
One of the many very cool aspects about Desperate Farm and the entire series of novels is that author Charles C.
Anderson combines many true details into his remarkable stories about the Carlson family, For example, there is actually a plantation that is,acres big in Virginia where he and his family have lived in continuously since thes, and it is called The Farm, and it has an intricate array of tunnels and caverns underneath it.
Also, like Andy Carlson, Charles is a retired Naval officer, emergency physician, and a weapons specialist, who has extensive knowledge of his familys property and Colonial Virginia, in particular, as well as the Civil War.
Desperate Farm is a book that will have readers on the edges of their seats, It is filled with pulsepounding action, as the Carlsons are joined by Nate and Tory and a friend of the family, Orvel Fletcher, as they attempt to once again defend America, this time from those who would seek to traffic in nuclear warhead components.
The family and their friends also face a dual kidnapping and a desperate fight to the death, Check out Desperate Farm and the entire series today! I am a retiredyear veteran of emergency medicine who served twelve years as a Naval Officer.
