was not what I thought it would be about, The little summary that I read before I purchased it, made it seem like it was going to be a totally different kind of story, So disappointed. I don't know that I'll continue reading the series it was a fast read once I buckled down to read it, but it never really captured my imagination.
Champion runner Tanzania Grey,, has to win the Verde Island Endurance Race's milliondollar prize to save the life of her friend Bailey, The treacherous fiveday race traverses a remote volcanic island that's home to beasts that slither, fly, swim, and slink through the jungle, But the wildlife turns out to be the least of Tana's problems when she draws the name of Sebastian Callendro as her partner, Sebastian's personal life has put him in the national spotlight, and his nosy followers are the kind Tana can't afford, Her name isn't really Tanzania, and everything else in her biography is invented, too, Shes been running for three yearsfrom the men who murdered her parents, If her cover is blown, she could be next, Excellent start to the trilogy,
Found this book and the characters to be totally engaging, Looking forward to finding out more of Tany's story, Highly recommended. Set against the backdrop of a longdistance endurance run on a remote tropical island, Race With Danger is both nonstop action and a dark mystery in one story.
In addition to winning the race, the seventeenyearold orphan who calls herself Tanzania has set two goals, one to use the prize money to save the life of her friend Bailey, and the other, to keep her real identity secret, in fear of the men in the black SUV.
The pace and the suspense make Race With Danger an exciting adventure that all ages will enjoy,/Stars
