Aside from Nan that i grow to love, i also think Jim deserves his own book, Jim is the hero of this story,

I loved Mase and Reese's story and how caring and attentive Mase was with Resse after everything she's been through.


Mase is the son of rock legend Kiro Manning and one hot sexy cowboy :P



Reese has been abused almost all her childhood and now she finally settled down somewhere that actually makes her feel safe.
. .

What can this two possibly have in common Rosemary Beach of course :P and all the crazysexy crew that comes with it :D

Although I loved this story, Rosemary Beach's series and sitelink this book was a little flat for me.
The writing was very good but the story didn't really have a lot of highs and lows, . . it just was



But despite all that I was really looking forward to Mase's story and now that I have it I'm happy :D So to all you Rosemary Beach fans like yours trully this is a must read for you.


And Mase is sooooooo, . .



NanLover forever!!!!!! Even when she's being a demon, LOL Okay, I have to admit, I've never been a big fan of Mase's, . . but AG managed to win me over, I think it had to do with the fact that I felt Mase is more of a young Kristen Ashley Alpha, He definitely had the moves and he just says the sweetest things especially with his "gottalickthatfreckleitis",

Reese's story really pulls at your heart strings, . . and how could you not pull for her She's had it rough and her self esteem is low, low, low.
I loved how much Mase was able to help her but I especially liked how much Reese wanted, . . and did do for herself,

The problem is Reese's lack of experience, She misses a lot of

the subtle clues and signs, again, a lot of this is due to her low self esteem and always thinking the worse.
I have to hand it to Mase, again, with how well he handled Reese sexually, He took it slow and OMG, the things he said to her, Gotta love that! And thank goodness for getting his POV as well!



For the most part, I enjoyed catching up with all the other characters from Rosemary Beach.
. . even if it was primarily the women, I loved the small scene with Nate, “Bwhoa it up. Like dis. ” He's a lady killer already!

The big rotten tomato is still the Wicked Witch, . . how is this even possible I've just decided to give up on her, I had thought after what she did for Harlow that she might be turning around, . . just a little but that was blown out of the basket, I have no idea what AG has planned, I certainly hope it's not with Captain his book is after the second Mase/Reese book and Nan's is after his, I just really feel there's no way she can be redeemed at this point and I'm not sure I can read a whole book devoted to her.


Anyway, there's lots of other drama going on in this book, . . with another female. I really can't fault Reese for feeling the way she did but my heart went out to Mase, I don't know how he was able to walk away,

One thing's for sure, you gotta love Mamas! Mom's always know best and they take care of their kids, no matter how old!

And that ending Definite cliffhanger.
. . but it will be interesting to see how that comes into play,

Let me first off say that I am huge Abbi Glines fan and I absolutely love the Rosemary Beach Series and when I saw When I'm Gone on my kindle, I practically devoured this book in one sitting.
Abbi Glines is truly a gifted writer and storyteller, Her books are beautifully well written and crafted, She consumes you with her character's heartfelt stories and like always tug all the heartstrings, As always, Abbi Glines' books will leave you wanting more and never wanting the book to end, I honestly would be sad when this series comes to an end because each and every character of the Rosemary Beach gang have a special place in my heart even Nan.

Right off the initial meeting, Mase was drawn to the beautiful, intriguing and down to earth Reese, He couldn't help himself but he wanted to be the one to help her, And when Reese opened up to Mase on one of her secrets of a learning disability, Mase was a true book boyfriend.
He was everything you would want and much more, He didn't care about the cost but he made sure Reese got the top of notch learning specialist to help her, That beautiful grand gesture pulled all the heartstrings and captured my heart, From then on, I was absolutely smitten and in love with Mase ColtManning,

Mase and Reese beautiful journey as friends to lovers was breathtakingly heartfelt, It was the little things that he did that gave me the warm fuzzies, I loved how Abbi showed her readers a relationship that bloomed into LOVE, It was the act of giving, sacrificing, and friendship that will steal the hearts of her readers, What I especially loved about this book was that Mase didn't see Reese as a broken woman with a terrible past but a woman who is strong, resilient and beautiful inside and out.
He took his time to allow Reese see that she is worth fighting for and worthy of love, They say LOVE HEALS. And Mase's love was pure, real, and healing,
