Attain The Wedding Date (Belmont Beach Brides #1) Published By Kelly Eadon Formatted As Audio Books

Wedding Date by Kelly Eadon is a quick fun read, This relatively chaste contemporary romance may have a triedandtrue premise, but Eadon added some interesting and charming nuances that made it unique,

Eadons writing style is fun and flirty, and her story is engaging, Her characters are realistic and relatable, Kate and James both grew up in Belmont, but on opposite sides of town, Kate went to public school whereas James attended the posh, private Falston Prep School, What they do have in common is the desire to not become attached, They met in high school through a mutual friend, and their paths dont cross again until Kate returns to Belmont after finishing law school.

The secondary characters are charming, Kates friends Ryan and Beth are funny, They, along with her sister, Rachel, are her lifelines, James extended family can be intimidating, but they take to Kate immediately and go along with James ruse that he and Kate are dating.
I especially liked Margaret, James mom and Abell family matriarch, The oldmoney rivalries provided some awkward and funny moments, Eadons depiction of James exgirlfriends anxiety disorder was tasteful and respectful,

The plot is fast paced, making The Wedding Date a very quick read, Between the pace and the engaging characters, I couldnt put it down, While I enjoyed the chemistry between James and Kate, I didnt quite buy the relationship conflict, The minimal angst was fine, but the conflict felt contrived, The story would have benefited from the conflict being drawn out and explored a bit further,

Overall, I found The Wedding Date to be charming and funny, I loved the character interaction and the big family wedding weekend, A tidy wrapup provides a very satisfying HEA, Upbeat and lighthearted, The Wedding Date is a feelgood, star read.

A false engagement, a wedding, a pushy and overactive motherinlaw how do you not love this story,
Kate has returned to Belmont but her dream is to live in a large city close to her sister, all that remains of her family.
Her father died when she wasyears old and her mother abandoned them when she just was a little children, In the gym she notices a very sexy guy, She doesn't know that he also has noticed her and especially that he was her juniorprom date, James instead recognizes her right away, James's sister is getting married and he doesn't have an escort, Their friend in common proposes a fake engagement, They are both very attracted to each other but are afraid that the other doesn't reciprocate, Will they figure out their real feelings
All the characters are lovable, people who would like to know, Kate is a sweet girl, so much in need of love and is fascinated by the attention that James has towards her, no one has ever done it.
Her life has always been complicated, but maybe it's coming happiness, James is a nice guy, good, helpful, He is also very thoughtful towards his exgirlfriend if not love her anymore, I loved Greg, James's older brother, is really fun, with his wife form a really wonderful couple, And I enjoyed to see in action the mother of James,
This book is written really well, the pace is fast and flowing, It is written in third person but alternating the James and Kate's point of view: an excellent choice, has made the story much more compelling.

I recommend it to anyone who wants to read a romance light and easy but funny and very romantic

Finally! A book that holds my attention and keeps me reading and not wanting to do anything else! This story is fun and sweet and heartbreaking all at once.
It many spots it had me wanting to scream out “No! Stop, just wait,” to the characters, It was like visualizing a train wreck unfolding before your eyes and not being able to stop it and I loved every second of

it!
The author did a great job providing good descriptions and details but not over doing it.
She still allowed her readers to have an imagination and to a certain extent make the characters their own, The details arent so over done that each reader has the ability to add certain touches to each character to view them as their own mind has created them, which is my favorite way to visualize characters.
I do have to say that the author did an incredible job explaining some of the clothing youll understand when you read it!
This author was a new author for me and Im so incredibly glad I came across her work! This story is right up my alley as being my “go to” types of books.
If Im in a reading slump, I know they will pick me up and get me back to reading again, If I just need a good sweet read, I know I can go to these types of books and start reading and they will pump up my attitude.
The author is really an allaround great writer and I cant wait to read more of her work!
A wedding is not a small affair in the Abell family.
James has been putting off his mother about a date for awhile, With no interest in being tied down, James maintains he will go alone, But a meddlesome friend and his overbearing mother changes his plans in one conversation at the grocery store, . . Now James has been forced to pretend he has a girlfriend for his sister's wedding, Worse is that his friend made it sound like a serious relationship!

Running into James at the gym was the highlight of Kate's dull life right now.
She's been lusting after his gorgeous bod since she joined, A chance reunion, drunken bravery, and her dumb friend later and she is a pretend date to his sister's wedding, How did this happen

Neither want anything serious, right
Neither wants to just be friends!
What happens at the wedding, does it stay there

It's a sweet story of trying to help out the hottie.
Plenty of chaos ensues and family happens, As bad as they are made out to be, I would join the Abells for any party, They are fun bunch with its of love even if some is misguided,

This is my first Kelly Eadon book and it will certainly not be my last, It is a great read when you want something light and easy to read, The characters are hilarious, especially everyone in the wedding party, I love how everyone is so close, you just want to be a part of it all,

Thoughts:

PLOT LINE From the moment they met, the realization of how they were former dates to a junior prom was adorable.
More so, since James remembers her before she remembers him, It means Kate had a impact on his life back then and will most likely have a bigger impact on his life now, It's like fate brought them back together, This story is the journey of a relationship blossoming from a fake one to a real one, He is already half in love with her, . . the only thing is having her realize that she was falling in love with him as well, I just find it hilarious how although they believe it's fake, it all feels real, So, they might as well make it official, With the help from his family, the dynamic between everyone makes the process even more enjoyable, There are a few bumps in the story that create a bit of drama, increasing the tension between James and Kate, It just shows that not everything is perfect as it may seem,

CHEMISTRY It was definitely there when they first laid eyes on each other, Even though she didn't recognize him at first, she can feel the tension and spark, Not only did Kate have an instant connection with him, but also with his family, She played her role as his girlfriend so easily that she can't even tell if it was fake or not, What's great is that they were all so welcoming towards her, Sure, it may seem like just "week" relationship", It feels like they have known each other for years, It also didn't help when she fantasies about him especially ones she shouldn't even imagine when his mother is in the room,

Overall, it was a fun read!
