Hal Espen, former editor of Outside magazine Julia Goldberg is a phenomenon both nationally and locally Santa Fe, I walked the streets of Santa Fe and saw her face on the sides of buses, Every writer I know has taken at least one class with Goldberg, Every politician has been interviewed at least twenty times by Goldberg, Okay, that was a blustering guess with the politicians, It may be closer to a hundred or a thousand, All I know is that she keeps records of all of her exchanges, even from grade school,
Goldberg is one of those few teachers who are unforgettable and mesmerizing, Having access to her brilliant, hilarious, and captivating wit and knowledge is a gift that keeps on giving,
Before she was teaching exclusively at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design, she had a multitude of groupies who saw her name in a catalogue and signed up immediately before her classes filled up.
I am absolutely sure that her classes at the U of A amp D fill up just as quickly, and she is still the Patti Smith of inspiration, experience, and great stories! I am one of those groupies.

"Inside Story" is an empowering toolbox of advice, strategies, craft wisdom, insider experiences, and prompts to keep close at hand, Goldberg also adds her humor, wit, and stories that make this a must read! Get a copy and if you are teaching nonfiction this is one for your curriculum! LOVE!!

I think I've found it! This is a savvy, accessible, wellwritten intro to the field, I did sometimes wish that Julia Goldberg

found Julia Goldberg somewhat less fascinating as a subjectthe book is overpeppered with stories about herself and important people that she knows.
But that's a small cavil, This is smart, funny, practical, I will use it the next time I teach creative nonfiction, Excellent! A book weaved with personal experience in the writing and reporting fields with suggestions on how to better improve your nonfiction writing skills.
A good read I especially liked a few of the writing prompts to get you going in this particular genre of writing, read for a class This is a comprehensive books about journalism and writing essays, There are prompts in each chapter to help the writer practice what they learned in the chapter and further develop their writing skills, There is also a helpful list of resources, editing checklists and common grammar mistakes, I highly recommend this book, I was super excited to have won this book off Goodreads for my honest review,

I have been wanting to write a book and start a blog and this book is a helpful guide to do so.
I loved her chapter on good writing habits, it walks you through step by step by step from a beginner to a thriving writer.

Another favorite was the constructive construction and editing and revision,

I love that she separated her resources from each chapter which makes it easier to look further into a certain topic on my own.

Thank you for writing such an easy reader for newbies like me, : Good primer on journalism, literary journalism, and general creative nonfiction writing methods, Good writing prompts, suggested readings, and resources, Im impressed by how much is covered here, with moderate depth, and with really good prompts for putting the information to use as well as additional resourcesI found myself taking lots of notes to use later.
