yet powerful biblical truths laid out to lead a nonbeliever to faith in Jesus Christ, I bought this book when I was in Belfast from an evangelical bookstore, I was drawn to the book because it is written by Mez McConnell who has a fairly significant connection to the church I attend here in Edinburgh Charlotte Chapel.

Although basic and written primarily for seekers and new believers, I was inspired and impressed by McConnell's down to earth and practical explanation of the Christian faith.
I read the book in onego as it was easy and accessible for all, I really appreciated his conversational tone as well as the questions he posed throughout and his use of an imaginary man named Jack who is representative of every man as we journeyed through seeking to conversion.

Personally, I am generally do not read books like this as I prefer more academic tomes, but it definitely has its place.
I would highly recommend it to a new Christian or even as a study guide

for a youth group, I found the writing to be somewhat more suitable for a younger audience, but nonetheless appreciated McConnell's deep insights and personal life illustrations.
This book is the first in a series of books designed to walk a person from asking questions about God to mature Christian faith.
This first book is designed to answer questions about the existence of God, but it culminates with a clear unpacking of the Gospel.
These books are designed to be used among the urban poor, so there's a simplicity and clarity here that is often lacking in other similar material.
In addition, Mez writes with a clear eye towards the brokenness often experienced by those in poverty, I strongly recommend this book as a helpful tool to walk through with someone who's questioning Christianity or curious about the Gospel.
