Review Grimm Fairy Tales Arcane Acre, Volume 4 Composed By Pat Shand Accessible As EPub
a long time avid comic reader I know that it is common for writers to paint themselves into a corner and then pull a last minute plot twist out of their asses.
Hello Any DC Crisis fans out there This book is no different, At the last minute Sky and Violet realize that their powers of the Shadowlands and Wonderland respectively will send Bloody Bones into the Darkness.
Whoa! This was convenient. LOL. However, this also leads into a really cool cliff hanger about what is the Darkness How will they get Sela back from it Also, what happened to Belinda and the Warlord of Oz Is Melec really dead Questions that hopefully will be answers in future books.
The story in this trade leading up to the ending is average and really not that interesting.
I liked that good guy Ali turned into a double crossing selfish jerk, Nice switch up. However, the fact that some random organization found Sky and Lance way before Sela, Shang, and the other Highborns amp False bloods did makes no sense.
Also, that this organization has more information on Bloody Bones than all the faculty and their resources at Arcane Acres is just wrong.
The nightmare world of dreams plot with Bloody Bones is a cool concept that was not realized very well.
It could have been much better and more involved with the other characters in the Zenescope Grimm Universe.
Maybe they will bring him back in later stories and expand the reach and impact of his character.
Like the story the art is average in this trade nothing really wowed me, Awesome finale to the Arcane Acre arc, Highborns band together with falsebloods to battle the nightmare demon, Bloody Bones for the sake of humanity.
Excellent story and illustrations. Highly recommended. The epic grand finale of Zenescope's longest running title is here, reprinted in this oversized trade paperback.
Sela, the students of Arcane Acre, and the Realm Knights enter the final battle against Bloody Bones! Wonderland, Neverland, Oz, Myst, and Earth must stand together against the greatest threat to ever threaten the realms of power.
My god, I lived to see the end of
the main story line, That was really good! Looking forward to seeing what they do with Skylar in the new series.
But overall, this was a good ending for such a long series, Very well done. PAT SHAND writes comic books Robyn Hood, Family Pets, Charmed, Angel and pop culture journalism Sad Girls Guide, Blastoff Comics.
