One thing, I did found the case a little less something, It was not particularly what we could expect in a detective suspense thriller, amusing This book trapped me immediately and the ending slapped me between the eyes way too soon, Benitez provides suspense and sexual tension through the story in a style that is easy to read and conveys much information, All the players are welldepicted, and some are deep but unlikeable, I will need to read more of this series, Accidental Detective Book: Hot and Romantic Amateur Sleuth Series

I loved reading this story, It is fast paced and keeps you on your toes from beginning to end, I love both Anneliese and Leo, He is a very private person and doesnt let anyone know that he is rich and she is a woman who is determined to be a great investigator.
Both have good instincts and are not afraid to take chances in their work and their lives, The crimes that are investigated are strange, so are the characters committing them, If you love a story that will keep you guessing both about the crime and the main characters feelings for each other this is the book for you.

This was a fun start to a new series,

I enjoyed reading Leo and Annalise beginning and how they work together,  
Some secondary characters that I hope will be involved in future books are good mingling in, One of the cases was a little unusual but was good to see what happens,

Looking forward to future cases with these two and seeing how the relationship progresses, I absolutely loved this series, I read bookstostraight through, They made a great couple, She became his secretary and office manager after being fired from her job in a bridal salon through no fault of hers, Soon she's not only running his office but also helping solve his cases, Their love interest rate is sparked in the first book and finally resolved in the last book, At the moment US Amazon has each book for,cents and AU AMAZON for, something. Well worth it and a good time to buy,

Loved this book! There is some suspense and some really funny moments, The character development is perfect, Anneliese and Leo are super cute together, and I can't wait to find out what is going to happen!!! The great plot was well written and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!

Atpages long according to Amazon, this is not a book which you need to set aside a massive amount of time to read, You'll probably get through it in an hour or so,

But there is quite a lot packed into thosepages, and on the whole, I think that it hits just the right note,

The author has created a novella with a reasonable plot, but she has also conjured characters who have some depth to them, Their slightly awkward interactions, the subtle humour, the hints about their backgrounds, all combined to capture my attention and left me wanting more,

Anneliese was the greatest good luck charm to bridal shops all around Boston, bringing in wealthy socialites looking for the perfect wedding gown, This ended when she was accused of breaking up the marriage of the century, She lost her job and no bridal shop anywhere would take a chance hiring her,
Leo is the son of an extremely wealthy family, but has turned his back on them and instead owns L, M. Agency, a private detective firm, He hires Anneliese because he believes she has insight into the breakup of the century, and her resume is flawless, ignoring her firing from the last bridal shop.

Leo is very particular about what cases he takes, but Anneliese decided to take on one of the cases he passed on, She is working in secret and Leo comes to her rescue, not recognizing each other at a masquerade party at a club favored by the up and comers.
Their cases are deeply intertwined and there is a sexual tension between them, Will they be able to solve their cases or will they get involved in a relationship it is a nice short book, with lots of action and innuendo.
Definitely a page turner. I feel like Ive had this sitting in my library, waiting to be read, forever, Well, I finally stopped making excuses and found a reason to read it, Im now having fond memories of Moonlighting and Remington Steele, maybe even a little bit of Castle, This books shares several traits wit those shows: the subtle, and not so subtle, sexual tension between the male and female leads, the pure raw silliness, and a whodoneit that goes in a direction you probably didnt see coming.
I look forward to reading more about Anneliese and Leo, Endings

This was a good introduction of the series, I actually fell in love with the characters, They were unique and brought personality into the story, The plot was intriguing and I fell into the story, I saw this author and this series on Facebook and decided to try it out, It was free for now, what could I lose Well, I won big time, This is a well done series, You are immediately caught by the writing and the theme, Yea, yea, you might say there are lots of private investigator stories out there with beautiful feminine character and hot hunky exmarine but still, this one is worth your time.
Leo is from al wealthy family but is doing this investigator business on his own, Anneliese is a beautiful brunette with brains, So, of course, Leo hires her as his assistant and then she demonstrates how smart she is, It is a quick read and one that leaves you with a pleasant memory, I went ahead and got books,, andand I'll be gettingwhen it is available, A fine read for the beach, for bed when you don't want to get too involved in a murder, or just for an evening to relax, A cute quixotic take on a romantic mystery, The story reads well and the beginning sets the stage quite nicely for all the events to unfold, A quick, snappy read with good characters and a mystery to solve, Bring on more .

This is a short enjoyable story, I was a bit disappointed that the reader wasn't let in much on the investigation, Overall, it is an ok story, Will I read bookMaybe but it would fall way down in line on my TBR, I was glad I was reading this story about Annelise Nottingham who was one of the hottest bridal wear consultants in Boston but with a friendly slip of her tongue to help her VIP client she gets herself fired.
Now Annelise is blacklisted from every bridal store, Annelise starts going through the classified section on the newspaper looking for a job and finds a company looking for an assistant but she is not sure what this company does.
After calling for an interview, Annelise arrives at her interview and meets Leo Mackenzie, a very handsome private investigator who needs a new trusted assistant for his office and he hires Annelise on a trial period to see how they can work together.
This has a lot of fund amateur sleuthing for Annelise, very unusual crimes and unexpected romance, I like to read funny romantic cozy mysteries to cheer me up a lot more these days, This is the first book in the Accidental Detective series and the first book by Kaye Benitez that I have had the opportunity to read, I truly enjoy this book, This is a quick fun read with a little suspense and fun with some sexual tension, Leo and Anneliese are a fun working couple, who should never have crossed paths, To find out how they started working together and what happens you will have to read this book, I highly recommend this book, I was given this book in exchange for an honest review, I received this book free from a subscriptions email,
I enjoyed the story, It was pretty clean and fairly simple, There weren't too many twists because you

weren't really let into the investigation, The romance is hardly there, but the characters did manage a compromising position and the main character had no qualms with with taking random, attractive women home with him, which is disappointing.
Over all, the story iis good and leaves lots of room for more stories, Annaliese is the scapegoat when a bridetobe decides not "tobe" and out of job Leo is out of a secretary/admin assistant and Annabelle may have some insights about that bride's family.
They work well together and neither wants to risk that with the chemistry they feel,

This is the first in the series and I liked Annaliese, her independence, and her sense of right and wrong, Leo is also likable. There are multiple, intertwined mysteries the most notable of which is the left of hair extensions while the women are wearing them, All tied up in nicely in the end, though it's left in the air how the relationship between Annaliese and Leo will or won't progress, A quick read short and to the point, Best for adult readers only,
