straightforward account of a wife who enlists her paramour in a twobit murder plot aimed at her husband,
Fascinating
not sure how I, missed this one.
is there some typos sure, does it detract nope. solid true crime story. def recommend. Interesting story, but I was left with a major question, Why would a former soldier calmly go to his death without fighting backat all I think there was more to this story that never got uncovered.
But, it was still a compelling book, I even felt bad for Greg Owen, he was definitely Kelly's patsy, Doug, the victim, was a truly good man, and Kelly's kids surely lost out not
having him in their lives anymore.
What did these guys see in her! I enjoyed this book, All scrambled and jumped from one dialogue to the next without explaining why certain people were important or who they were.
Very interesting read Gives me an insight in the mind of killers, For all the things she went through, I left thinking "No wonder, she murdered her husband" It almost seems inevitable! Certainly an interesting story, especially if you live in Georgia.
The writing is not as compelling as the story itself, I think there were others involved in this murder but the wife was definitely behind it, She was executed last year, I really liked this book but I prefer it when its more about the people involved , for me personally it had to much about the court case.
Factual book about this case, It seemed like I was reading a Wikipedia entry at times but I finished the book, I love the title and that's the biggest reason I read the book, True crime novels are almost never as intriguing as they sound, I guess criminals aren't really that interesting, A factual book about a murder, You dont get a good connection with the people because much of what is written appears to be transcript , some of it even verbatim , so at the beginning you read a lot of “an uh, and like.
”
The editing was horrible so many words ran together, It was a little annoying
The case was interesting, It was like reading a/episode or true crime show, Very well told. Editing was poor.
The story itself was very well told, The writer shared the history of all persons involved,
The editing was not done well, Words ran together. It was annoying at first, but the story itself was so enthralling, that I overlooked the mistakes, Overall it was an interesting case but the writing was poor, Testimony coverage was interesting but any time the author has to summarize or narrate the story the quality of the book dropped.
Interesting story but would have enjoyed it much more had a veteran crime writer written the book, A true story of a woman who murdered her husband, After finishing the book, I think there are many questions left unanswered, I believe there are a lot of facts that weren't told by the wife and boyfriend, I feel sorry for the children, Doug seemed to be a good man and didn't deserve to face death in this way, Its okay
Its okay, I think the kindle formatting is offthe words were all jumbled together, I feel for the victim but the author couldnt keep the contempt for the killer out of her work, All in all an okay true crime book, Boring read didn't like it Poor proofreading,
A good story telling, but poor proofreading, Words are strung together, making it difficult to read, Words run together with no punctuation, making you stop and think what the author intended, A Murdered Husband
Gulf War veteran Doug Gissendaner would do anything for a friend, a stranger, or the wife who broke every rule in the marriage book.
Now, investigators were scouring the Georgia woods not far from Doug's home, They'd already found the charred wreckage of his car, They knew they were looking for a body, . .
A Hitman Who Killed For Love, . .
Gregory Owen had been having an onagain, offagain affair with Doug's wife for years, Then Kelly Gissendaner told Greg it was time for her husband to die, With a knife and a plan, Greg forced Doug to drive into the woods, When Greg finished his savage, coldblooded deed, Kelly showed up to make sure Doug was dead,
A Woman On Death Row, . .
This is the astounding true story of the only woman on Georgia's Death Row and the chilling, account of how she got there.
From the hold Kelly had over a good and decent man to her dramatic, controversial trial, "First We'll Kill My Husband" captures the lies, schemes, and manipulations of a woman totally bent on murder.
