Snag This Is What I Want Curated By Megan Hart Expressed As Softcover
is a good example of why I hate short stories, I always feel cheated by them, I want more storydepth, more character depth, . . just more! This was a nice story that would've been so much nicer as a fulllength novel.
I can't take these little teaser stories that never go into any sort of real story.
Just loved it It was very interesting reading this great written story where the domination was on a shy woman hands.
I was surprised, in a good way, Excellent. I would love to read this story more detailed, I mean, a longer version of it.
Great story concept, but too short to truly develop the characters and the overall story, Originale!!
Not quite what I thought it would be, All the smut happens in the form of a blog, where Eris aka Eve spells out what she wants.
Literally.
Outside of her blog, we get to see how Eve and Lane, the IT guy, dance around each other.
Just as they take it a step further and away from the blog, it ends,
I'm getting kind of tired of these sudden death endings, Yes, I know. Sudden death has a slightly different meaning but that's how these endings feel,
I was pleasantly surprised by this shorty, That's something I always want,
I had no idea what the story was about, That's not what I wanted, What I wanted was to read something new after so many rereads, Something new and short. My choice landed on This Is What I Want, and I am so glad that it did because I ended up enjoying it much more than I thought I would.
This is what I want, After a bad breakup Eve started a blog as Eris, Eris wrote about her sexual fantasies, and Eris always knew what she wanted, Meanwhile, Eve was living an uneventful life, working in customer services and crushing on the IT guy Lane.
Things got really interesting when the fantasy and the real world tangled up,
Eris's blog posts were good, I quite enjoyed reading her different fantasies, Eve's subtle flirtations with Lane, all the clues, those I enjoyed even more,
In the end I wished this was a novel, A clear sign I loved reading it,½ Mini : Suspense and anticipate play large roles in the build up of sexual tension, a very good technique.
Visit me at sitelinkSweet Vernal Zephyr for my LONG reviews, . . eye candy contest links me gusta como Megan escribe los relatos cortos que los largos, just saying
como es que sabia donde vivía WTF Steamy short read! A cute short about fantasy and finding someone to fulfill all of yours.
I liked the poetic interludes in this one, which are little snippets the main character is posting on her erotic blog.
It was a clever way of showing us the main character's unfulfilled dreams and contrasting them with how she experiences her "normal" life at the office.
It also worked as a great foreplay device since the passages are almost dreamlike and work together to build tension gradually over the course of the story.
After all that build up, the ending was very abrupt and dissatisfying, at least I thought so.
Despite this, the writing is very good, and I will be sure to read more by this author.
Read in. Quick, erotic read.
I think what kept this from being a higher star rating was that I would have liked more between the main characters.
Nearly the entirety of the book was about Eve and her fantasies, Which is good, I was just hoping for more,
There's a bit of a "mystery" and I use that term incredibly loosely about who TellMe is, and if Eve will end up with him, or the hot IT guy at her work,
Lane.
We spend the majority of the book hearing about her interactions with both of these guys, and seeing very little of either.
However, even with those complaints I enjoyed it, I'd just have liked to have a bit more, By day she was Eve Grant, customer service drone in a drab office cubicle, But at night she became Eris Apparent, sex goddess of the blogosphere, where she could express her true self in sizzling erotic fantasies.
As Eve she entertained aching, unfulfilled fancies about her sexy coworker, But as Eris Apparent she was outspoken and demanding as she carried on a steamy cyberspace affair with the mysterious "Tellme.
" Excellent short. Megan Hart delivers. review to come Didn't like how short it was and just as I was starting to know the characters it was over.
I felt cheated. This short story has some excellent lyrical prose, “This is What I Want” by Megan Hart Short Story/Kindle/ebook Harlequin, com Spice Briefs "The Sex at Work Bundle":
This delicious little sampling of Harts writing was just what the doctor ordered while I was pondering what I REALLY wanted to read next.
Atpages, it was like sitting down for a scoop of ice cream, Instead of the local grocers stock “ice milk” on sale this week, however, Harts writing style is like indulging ones self in some spendy “Ben and Jerrys,” rich, sweet, and, calories a bite.
Yum!
Eve is a customer service rep, by day, working one of those computer connection instant helplines for a computer company, Shes never been too lucky in love, and instead of taking any additional risks in that department, she revamps herself into “Eris Apparent” nightly, and entertains the masses by way of her sexy little short stories on her internet blog site: “This is What I Want.
” The story opens with our introduction to Eve running into Lane, the hot computer I, T. guy in the elevator at work, We know right away from Eve that her and Lane have some sparks bouncing back and forth, but being its her job, Eve shies away from giving off signals that would start anything up between them.
Regardless, Lane provides a great inspiration for “Eris” to work up her steamy nightly blogs,
Like most companies, its strictly forbidden for employees to net surf during working hours, but Eve occasionally pushes the envelope between customer ques to check her blog responses from the night before.
Shes been experiencing a lot of computer freeze ups lately, so Lane has been working on her computer more often.
Needless to say, its been tough keeping her focus and her temperature down with Lane in her space, working so up close and personal.
In the meantime, Eve/”Eris” has just encountered a new follower of her nightly blogs that completely sexually intrigues her something shes never run across.
Sure, shes had offers, but nothing that motivated her to explore further and wasnt that why she had retreated from risking any heartache by venting via her blog to begin with “TellMe,” introducing himself to her “This is What I Want” blog by way of his response: “Im what you want!” immediately “feels” familiar to her personally, and she soon finds herself completely caught up in writing her own personal fantasies just for him.
The weird thing is, shes having these online conversations with “TellMe” and Lane has suddenly ratcheted up his attentions to her at work.
Since her computer freeze problems havent been resolved, theyve been able to share more time together while Lane works on the bugs, and the silent flirtations exchanged are only getting “heavier.
” Funny thing though Lane and “TellMe” seem to be paralleling their actions in a way she just cant seem to put her finger on.
Could “TellMe” be Lane Naahh, but, could it
This little short story was just PACKED with great writing style and intriguing storyline one of the few times I was excited that I would actually find out what happens in a pretty short period of time.
Every one of “Eris” little sex blogs was so rich in setup and feeling that each one could have been turned into a wonderful sexy romance all on its own.
and get out the fan whew!: This is one of the best little short stories Ive read, and, as a matter of fact, is better than a couple hundred full length romance novels I can think of as well.
Megan Hart is truly a talented writer, If you can get your hands on this little gem, dont hesitate to throw down yourand change.
Cheaper than a “MintMocha,” and will stay with you a lot longer,
K.
NOTE: Erotic romance mild straight M/F/mainstream content contains blunt sexual language and graphic adult sexual scenarios.
"
Ti dirò quello che desidero, . . "
Breve ma intenso e sensuale, Consigliato!!
.Stars.
Fucking boring.
I feel like I wasted my time reading this short story when I could've been reading something that was soooo much better on my reading list.
Frankly, this book doesn't even deserve a half star, it was so bad, Corto, aceptable . no se si yo tenia sueño pero siento que faltaba hilacion, . . ademas el "misterio" de la identidad de Tellme es absurdo, This fun quick story shows how having an anonymous blog can be good for you, it lets you live out what you really want to.
But what happens when your cyber space and real life meet Do you take a chance Eve faces that question and makes the right answer.
'This Is What I Want' by Megan Hart is a super fast, fiftytwo page ebook, that's more like a little erotic snack.
Eve Grant, a, k. a. Eris Apparent, lives in a nice safe bubble where by night she can explore her inner fantasies on her blog while by day she can keep to herself as a good worker bee for Digiquest.
The truth, Eve's actually afraid of real relationships, Scorned in the past, Eve isn't about to let her heart get trampled again, But Lane DeMarco, fellow employee and I, T. genius, may just ignite her former flame for real flesh and blood as opposed to keyboard and monitor.
The two have never really exchanged more than "hi", "goodbye", or "thank you for fixing my computer", and Eve isn't about to change that either no matter if her heart beats a tattoo in her chest each time she lays eyes on him.
But Lane's not the only man vying for her attention,
Eris Apparent has a new admirer, Tellme, After posting another one of her fantasies starting with "This is what I want", Tellme's short and to the point statement "I am what you want" leaves Eris intrigued.
Now the original rush of receiving comments and emails regarding her blog entries has ramped up to a scorching high.
Yet, coincidental things are occurring at work with Lane,
After writing about her secret fantasy of ties, Lane walks in wearing one the very next day which has previously not been a part of his wardrobe.
Eve can't help but heat up while staring at his new accessory, Next, after a detailed encounter with a cowboy, Lane walks in wearing the sexiest pair jeans that should really be outlawed and the scruffy boots only make Eve's appetite for Lane whet even more.
But Tellme wants more from Eris and Eve wants Lane, Who will she chose
'This Is What I Want' was fast little escape, The plot is minimal to nonexistent with an ending that I guessed about three quarters of the way through but with only fiftytwo pages to work with, one can't expect a whole lot.
Still the Spice Brief was tight and most definitely erotic, If you care for a little erotic snack or mini escape, check out 'This Is What I Want' by Megan Hart.
