Catch Fallen Elemental (Evelyn Storm, #1) Constructed By Tamara White Visible In Textbook

thought I was human, I thought I could finish school, leave my abusive parents and my old life behind, I was wrong. Im an elemental and I can use not just one element but all of them, Thats not all though, I can control lightning, No elemental is able to control lightning but I'm not just any elemental, A prophecy has marked me as the ultimate power,

Poorly executed . .
Inventive storyline, but no meat, The heroine just accepted everything with no build up and it was insta everything with no character development, With a LOT more work it could have been a really good read, This book is what Kindle Unlimited was created for, Glad I didn't waste my money on this one,
Kindle Unlimited read and rating chart on GoodReads
,As I am starting to notice with more and more Kindle Unlimited books, this one has some typos and other errors,

The story itself is pretty good, The plot is interesting and pretty unique, I liked most of the characters, Sometimes changing POVs can drag me out of the story, but in this book it worked pretty well,

The instatrust and instalove were a little to fast for my preferences, but at the same time it was pretty much explained by the world building.

I'll read more in this series when it is available,my biggest issue is the authors lack of follow through on the simplest rule of good story telling, Show dont tell. Ex: Telling me how they feel does nothing for me I need to feel the chemistry between them, This books is filled to the brim with tell amp barely any show, I will continue the series, Slow yet fast

The plot moves fast but the writing seemed slow, if that makes any sense, The contents are a mix of YA and adult in an odd mash up, Teen angst meets adult life choices in this book,
Evie is understandably confused to find out she's an elemental and also copes with learning she hasbonded, their term for fated mates, While dealing with the overly done plot of "mean girl head cheerleader" Evie is learning how to control the powers she inherited as well as juggling the emotional stress of bonding toguys.
Secrets about her past are brought to light, about her family and the guys', She also discovers a prophecy about herself, Needles to say turningwas monumentally life changing,
I do think she went from being abused to mate chasing very quickly, People who are systematically abused, as she has been, tend to flinch from touching, Anger in others, sudden movements, being grabbed from behind are more likely to cause panic attacks than loving feelings, Space is usually sought more than sneaking kisses in janitor closets, It wasn't a bad book but her behavior wasn't consistent with someone who had been abused foryears and bullied at school for the last, The change of POV also happened suddenly in scenes, Sometimes even in the middle of conversations making tracking difficult, With some tweaking this could go from choppy and rushed to a rather amazing book very easily, I am intrigued enough to check out bookto see where this goes, one word yikes in some places of this book,

Fallen Elemental is a RH book that definitely makes you question a lot of things happening in it, Like for example, why women are basically put on this earth to pop out babies We aren't a vending machine people so stop thinking that, Until the day a female gives birth to a damn can of coke calm your tits,

In this book, you will meet Evie, She's an interesting character because she sort of lives a life where a typical RH book goes, She was abused at home, basically outcast in life, and she somehow gains magical powers one day, Throughout the book, she actually finds out that people in her life are bat shit crazy, She also learns about a lot of secrets that have been kept from her, So, to say she deserves to get mad or throw a tantrum or two is the least she can do, She could go off and murder the people that betrayed her in a way but she doesn't,

Besides all of that, the romance in this book definitely gave me some questions, Never in my life of reading RH books have I questioned how the other people in this little circle feel when they are watching someone with their girl.
Even if they are all bonded and shit, . this book kind of made me cringe at points and question myself, Like how are they feeling Are they okay with this happening Do you think they are all critiquing the shit out of one another Possibly giving some pointers Maybe writing a yelp review or two on them WHO KNOWS!.
. but that's what I was thinkin while reading some of these scenes,

They were hot don't get me wrong, . but my mind went down a dark path in this one,

Overall, it was entertaining enough but I still have some unanswered questions, My buddy told me that the author could be rewriting booksand, . so I might have to wait to dive into them until then,
Fallen elemental review

Disclaimer: this has spoilers so read at your own risk also I wrote this review as I went.

This story has good potential, I like the characters. I like the plot. I really like this story so far,

Now on to the critique, Until you get a couple of pages into the writing it hard to get through, Mainly due to to the amateur way of writing, It all thought dump and a dizzying one at that until thest interaction then it get better and makes it easier to read, So I do recommend just try to get through those first few pages,

After that I dont know if it just the way the story goes or the author just has odd inconsistencies,

One of them is that they have premonition that the council will betray them yet they keep interacting with the council like the premonition never happened.
Later it is brought to their attention that the council are in fact assholes but they act like they werent expecting this level of betrayal when all facts before made it a forgone conclusion the council can not be trusted.

Another is MCs dad was supposed to arrive in a few days, Two weeks go by and man hasnt shown up and again no further acknowledgment of this is made for a while, Feels like it was forgotten about, This manthe dad is so confusing, Not sure what his end game is, Kinda wondering if the losses he has had has knocked some screws loose, Not bad way to go about the character but it not coming off well,

Next one is there appears to have been no further investigation as to who the MCs real parents are or why she was placed with her adopted parents.
Dad does explain some but still I feel some acknowledgment of at least putting the investigation on the back burner should have been made,

After that the way they are training her, If she did extraordinarily things instead of staying calm they continuously panicked, At first okay understandable but as the training continued I felt like reaching into the book and telling them to stop freaking out,

My next observation isnt necessarily an inconsistency but there feels to be maturity issues with the boys, Like they seem well trained and mature but they keep making mistakes on how to handle the MC, This more

of a writing issue than character issue, Like that the way this maturity issue is told in the story vs that it doesnt make sense that the characters have this issue,

Another inconsistency is that Michael doesnt remember that in his prophecy he already knew that they would be protecting the MCs children, Why is he acting surprised even if he didnt mention his whole vision to the group,

Also if the author does read these reviews I want her to understand that if you arent getting a lot of lengthy critiques I would take it has a positive as long as their are not bashing but honest heartfelt critiques like mine.
I see so much potential in this story and it would just suck if the technical writing is the thing that makes me want to stop reading vs I just dont like your story cause its not my cup of tea.
Dnf halfway through.

I tried so hard to like this book but I just cant, The writing is really immature, not because these are teenagers so they should be immature but the writing itself, It very much reads like ayear olds angst filled Wattpad story, I tried to get past that but once it came to the justifying abuse stuff I just couldnt,
This book was a lot of tell instead of show, None of the guys had any distinct voices or even descriptions,
They would often declare things without us having ever seen anything to back that up, right when they met the female lead and hadnt interacted with her one of the guys says shes the kindest person hes ever met, sometimes she sasses back at the people bullying her but she never gives them even half of what they deserve.
WHERE! We havent see. Any of this. Where was she kind to anyone Where did she sass anyone Where did she ever even kind of stick up for herself
When they are trying to get her to leave her abusive home and shes going on about the reasons she cant leave, ok ya, that can make sense for someone that has been abused but then the guys are like no ya that totally makes sense Im so frustrated by this situation and that we cant do anything.
Bro what
I just can not, I really enjoyed the book! Now that it has been edited it flows much more smoothly, Still a few typos but they can be overlooked, Waiting for the second book to finish edits: great story Try again

While the storyline was intriguing the writing style was not.
From what I understand this author had written this story previously then had to rewrite it due to so much flak about grammatical errors which are still present and storyline complaints.
I figured that if this was a second attempt then this book should be very polished and ready to go, I am in no way trying to bash this authors hard work but if this is take, Im not impressed, Its hard to explain. Her style is telling you what happens, not creative writing that is smooth and flows together, It is written in the perspectives of each male and the female, And it just doesnt come off smooth, As if this is her first writing attempt and shes in high school, I dont want to be told every monotonous detail, Its so hard to explain this but her sentence structure is poorly constructed, There are so many creative words out there she can use instead of what shes using and it made this book come off as middle school/ high school with adult themes.
And again this felt weak, there were these moments when her men were sticking up for her and were supposed to be wow factors and it felt dumb.
And itsbecause this was poorly written, the steamy scenes were mediocre and thats being kind, I really am not impressed or sure Id finish the series because this felt written by a child, It also felt like this author was grasping at themes or how to make this an interesting and deep read but it ended up making not much sense and felt like there was too much filler trash.
This book contains but is not limited to: two types of angels, then theres “elementals” which are basically witches with elemental magic, then theres reverse harem, then bullying, child abuse, corrupt council members and ect.
Its a lot of mismatched junk that just felt like fillers, If I had paid for this Id be incensed, .
