Unlock Now A Novel Way To Die Conceived By Karen Hanson Stuyck In Digital Edition

don't often read books by the same author one right after another I get to annoyed with quirks, overlaps, and gaffes.
I took a chance and read this one right after reading Fit to Die, I was not disappointed. What worked in the other book, works here, Well rounded characters, good story line and a good, suspenseful mystery,

Bestselling novelist, Katherine March dies suddenly in her home in Austin, Texas, The cause of death is an overdoes of an antianxiety drug that also figured as the murder weapon in one of her early novels.
Was it suicide she had late stage ovarian cancer or was it murder, Her daughter, a college professor, is bewildered, Her difficult mother's life came to an abrupt end just as her Molly's marriage is going through some difficult times.
Curious and obsessive, Molly tries to unravel the mysteries of her mother's past and her mother's motivation while uncovering the reasons for her death.
What she discovers has roots in childhood, hers and her mothers, and is a revelation of a labyrinth of motives, suspicions, and reasoning.
With an edge of the seat final confrontation, the ending is perhaps a rather neat tieup of every issue, but satisfying nonetheless.

Complex characters, difficult relationships, and a well crafted plot, This was a really good suspense novel, The main character is a professor of criminology whose mother, a famous novelist, dies from what seems like a heart attack.
When the police find out she's taken a drug that was used in one of her novels to kill someone, her daughter takes more interest.
There's a manuscript that the mother was writing that holds the key to her murder, as well as one that occurred years before.
Great story, some of it is a little predictable but still fun to read, One of the most exciting books I've read, This is what mystery was intended to be, It's nearly Christmas and a woman's mom, a famous novelist, dies, Is it suicide or murder The protagonist had a lot of issues with her celebrity mom and that comes up over and over again as she tries to figure out what happened that last day of her mom's life.
She also discovers that her mother's last novel was autobiographical and that someone in the family is a psycho killer.

I found this book to be extremely slow, repetitive, and depressing, Really Good A Novel Way to Die is wholly unremarkable, but that is not necessarily bad, While by no means a stunning and suspenseful example of the mystery genre, it was pleasant and entertaining enough.

I enjoyed the choice of a protagonist, So many sleuths are cops, retired cops, excops, private investigators, or nosey kids, It was refreshing to see a criminologist try to solve the mystery, However, I would have liked to see more of the criminology aspect, Karen Stuyck throws a bit in there, but not as much as I'd have liked,

Most of the characters were interesting if not entirely believable, Aspects of the family dynamic weren't great: Molly the protagonist is having marital problems, but the rest of the plot largely sidetracks this part of the story.
It has a bearing, but it feels extraneous to the mystery,

The mystery itself

is predictable, Stuyck makes one suspect seem very probably the culprit, but I knew it was a red herring, I guessed the real killer about halfway throughnormally I'm not good at guessing whodunit, which may indicate how transparent a mystery this is.
The killer catches up to the protagonist and her family, and Molly has to think quickly to save her loved ones from a psychopath.

This book won't change your perceptions of the mystery genre, It will, however, level your coffee tableand thanks to that horrible permabound binding that I despise, it'll never fail at this task.
Oh, and you can read it too! Pleasant suspense mystery, Nice change of pace from the amateur detective stories I've been reading this main character is a criminology professor.
People in this book are so busy shrugging, taking deep breaths, raising eyebrows, cocking their heads and sighing, it's a wonder they have time for anything else.
I have found a new author for mysteries, Going to read her other ones, I really liked this book, Although it was very mellow in nature not necessarily boring but not extremely suspensful it was clean and well written.
I couldn't put it down, loved the ending. I just loved when spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler and spoiler spoiler and we found out that spoiler killed Katherine because spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler about spoiler spoiler.
lots of twisted.

okay I was just having some fun there,

This book has a lot of twist and turns, and can keep you guessing til the very end.
The characters are well developed and the plot is believable,

its so hard to find adult books i like, I don't normal read them because of that fact, A lot of the ones I come across are either dry or pointlessly erotic, . . with YA and teen fictions you often see that passion you only get from teenagers and young adults, Everything is a battle. and often, even when the book is bad, its usually still entertaining, That being said the daughter in this book, Annie still made me crazy, sighs but that does sound just like a girl her age,

first adult book I've read in months, Thought I'd shake things up with my reading, bookfor the year. : Life seems to be imitating art when mystery novelist Katherine March dies from an injected overdose of an antianxiety drug a fatal method straight out of her own novel.
Did Katherine end her own life, or did one of her readers end it for her,
