and to restore the balance to the Mecca.
Along the way she will be have to deal with great dangers and fights for their lives,
Not the best installment in the series, Queen Fae was mediocre, It continued the plot and progressed the romance between Arianna and Kade, but ultimately it was not as incredibly epic as the first book in the series.
I really think that all of the novels in the series could have been brought together into one book and have felt more seamless and engaging.
The plot development was still very good and it was entertaining to read, it's just not AS interesting as the beginning of the series.
Kade is still a very interesting character and the magic/shifter feel of the novel was fun to read on.
All in all, I give Queen Fae the rating of FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS!

I did enjoy this one but the only issue I have is that there were too many times where things were too convinient.
I was not into this book when I first started it, it almost landed on my dnf shelf.
I forced myself to keep reading and can say it definitely did pick up, I think not knowing the characters, didnt read the first two books first, was partially the reason,

I enjoyed the magical sense found in this book, It was whimsical and lots of descriptions to visualize it all, They did a good job bringing in multiple twists and turns, Then just went you think its the end, its not lol I really loved the bond that Ari had with not only her mate Kade but also her friends.
They will put themselves in danger, willing to sacrifice for the big picture, I honestly don't get shifter books, with the exception of anything written by Ilona Andrews, So I put off reading this series, But I am glad that a bout of flu made me start reading absolutely everything and I picked this up, because it is effing awesome.
The MC is a badass and I don't even mind that she and the main love interest turns into critters, they are both wonderful.
Most of the characters are wonderful, with strong personalities that are totally believable despite the unbelievable setting,

As a New Yorker and Manhattan resident I was also mostly unbothered by the depiction of the cityso many books get so many things wrong.
This alternate universe version of the city was different enough for me to not be pissed off, but had enough details that weren't completely inaccurate, and I was not pulled out of the story because of this.
I really appreciated that.

I did LOL that absolutely anything of value is on Staten Island though, Y'all funny. Looking forward to more in this series, Yes! The only thing this series is missing is more snarky humor! Now that Violet is back Im hoping there will be more! I like how in each book you get closure but a slight cliffhanger.
There is art in that, Ive read so many books where the characters are bombarded with problem after problem until I feel if I were them I would go on strike and walk right off the page of the book.
Though this book is riddled with strife and adventure there are small victories that bolster the characters and make them ready for the next fight! Ok so after reading the Mecca series I completely regret a lot of my harsh criticism about you being a book tease.
You know, teasing us with amazing books but never "putting out" the full series, As a avid reader it can be frustrating to find books you love and then be disappointed when it takes years for the next book to be released.
Only to feel slightly disconnected from the series because you've forgotten the details, Forgotten why you loved the characters so much it's been so long, I loved the Matefinder series and the Water Realm book so much I got a bit pissed when I realized it had been years without completion so I was harsh.
. . but I digress.

I was wrong about many things, I love multiple POV'S but only having Arianna's completely works for this series, It's more epic than romance so the single POV works, Next, the books are short but it makes sense because of the writing style, It's kind of like a utilitarian writing style because there's not chapters on top of chapters of fluff to full a book and draw stuff out.
I like it because it's like you get right to the good stuff and there's never a dull chapter.
Nothing is really predictable and you're on the edge of your seat waiting for what comes next, Beautifully done.

I love that the storyline was strong as well as the book, A lot of author base their storylines on the weakness of the female lead and in, that really isn't very feministic.
Literature is forever so the more strong female leads that are created the better for the world in general if you ask me.
Let's not promote ignorant women and call it fantasy romance, Let's not give a reckless female lead strong magical powers and call her brave, I like it better when the female leads are strong in heart and spirit and just a bit awe inspiring.

I also love that you actually give a physical description of your female lead, It's a disservice to describe the male lead but not the female, Again, it'slet's be on equal ground even in literature, I understand some might think it adds to the mystic of a novel but it actually takes away from the book.
I mean, it's a book, . . it'simagination already. No need for more. I put that in the same category as when parents say " this hurts me more than it hurts you" right before they light your ass up.
The category of "things that make no sense",

I'm a fan,

Super lesenswertes Buch. If you are currently in an ACOWAR hangover like me, do your self a favor and start this series.
Ithe has a lot of elements from the ACOTAR series that I love while also being it's own unique story.
PLUS HOT BEAR SHIFTER!!.

Now on to my review, . .

This book was so good, I loved being in the faelands, The world was better explained and I got a better sense of what we are fighting, There was a specific scene that was my favorite, The underground fighting ring was by far my favorite moment, I swooned and loved every second of Kade and Ari in this book!! There was a raw vulnerability shown in this book from Arianna.
We also got lots of politics talk for all the lovers of political intrigue, I cannot wait to continue with the series!! The finale will be epic!
