İlk kitaptaki azgın goblinlerden rahatsız olanlar bu kitapta onları görmeyince sevinecektir, This series is my jam!,/
The Goblin Slayer finds himself sought after by a High Elf, Dwarf and Lizardman who wish to recruit him to aid them with an ever looming threat.
Each of these new characters have their characteristics explored throughout while their capabilities are put on display when faced with adversity.
Far more relaxed in certain areas comparing to the first volume, while still maintaining its brutality with its art style.
Dark and gritty.
A dungeons and dragons adventure everyone should experience,
Orcbolg is reminiscent of Din Djarin from the Mandalorian, A nice continuation of the first volume, The series is really starting to lean into "DND" territory with the inclusion of the new party members, Over all, I'm enjoying the volumes, but part of me feels like there's just not enough content They seem to be significantly thinner than most manga volumes, and I feel like the stories start and end so quickly.
Somewhat generic monster hunting, dungeons type fantasy story you find in many fantasy novels, manga, The stereotypical female main character, the elfs, dwarvs etc,
The hero of the title feels like he is in much darker fantasy manga of the Berserk type, with the reason he has become a slayer.
The anime looked very cheap, weak animation wise but the manga artist is thankfully better with the shadows, how the world looks in this.
This was better than the first volume, not much in the nudity department but a lot in the violence and gore, awesome! The story goes on and new characters are introduced, we have a full party now.
I understand which ones are the fighters and which ones are the support type, but i'd like to know more about what they can do in terms of spells and all.
The new characters are really fun, i love their banter and i like the fact that they seem pretty competent, not amateurs.
Chapterby the way, AMAZING!!
Overall, better thar volume one for sure, if this keeps going like this i'm probably gonna love this.
Now things are getting more interesting, Most characters still don't have names though the Goblin Slayer does pick up, . . if not a name, at least a few more monikers: "Beard Cutter," and "Orcbolg", but they feel more like people this time around.
Interestingly, at the same time, each one also seems to embody a particular approach to roleplaying,
Goblin Slayer is a man wholly consumed by a need for vengeance, yet at the same time, he's cool and calculating and at times, rather ingenious in his approach to his slaughter of goblins.
He represents the sort of player who's in it for the combat and little else,
The Priestess is grateful to the Goblin Slayer for saving her life, and is trying her damnedest to return the favor.
She's a balancing force in his life, and one of the only things that reminds him of his basic humanity, but you can tell her efforts are draining her.
She represents the sort of player who enjoys the experience of roleplaying, but just kinda goes along with the party, without really engaging herself too much in the story.
The Elf ranger is an idealist, She dislikes fighting, but will do it and do it well, because it comes with the territory of adventuring, She's more fragile than her centuries of life would lead you to believe, but while some events might rattle her, the allure of the journey keeps her going forward.
She represents the sort of player who's in it for the discoveryfinding out what's hidden in that old crypt, or what lands await across the sea.
And if she ends up saving the world in the process, all the better,
The Dwarf mage is a raucous sort, quick with a joke, but able to be counted on in a pinch.
Of course, he and the Elf are at odds most of the time, but underneath it all, he realizes they're strong allies, so his teasing never digs too deeply.
He represents the kind of player who's in it for the fun, The sort that likes to stir things up most of the time, but will still stand by the rest of the party when the going gets tough.
Finally, there's the Lizardman shaman, who's stoic, respectful to a fault, and deeply committed to the quest at hand.
He's the unlikeliest member of the party, but he has his reasons for being there, He represents the ROLEplayer vs, the ROLLplayer: someone who's in it first and foremost for the lore, and the immersion in another world, That is, the sort who tries to speak in the manner his character would, who's always invested in the plot, and likes to take things seriously.
All in all, Goblin Slayer is proving to be an interesting study of roleplayers in a metanarrative sense, as well as being a rather enjoyable fantasy yarn.
There's the shape of a larger quest forming in the background if the rest of the party can steer Goblin Slayer away from his favorite prey long enough to focus on the looming threat of a demon lord, there's some really creative use of characters' abilities on display, and the action, while dark and gruesome, is pretty gripping.
Now that it's found its footing, Goblin Slayer reads like a solidly put together DampD adventure, and it definitely has its hooks firmly in my at this point.
The much maligned nudity only exists for three pages in this entire volume, and the onpage rape scenes seem a thing of the past, showing a level of restraint from the author the scenes in the first volume served their purpose, and he understands there's more to the story and worldbuilding than that.
It's solid dark fantasy.
But now that the ad hoc quest Goblin Slayer got recruited into in this volume is over, we'll see if he stays with this party or not.
I hope he does, because they're likable characters with plenty of room for further growth, Plus, that way, the story has more to it than just "find the next goblin nest and destroy it, "
If you were on the fence about Goblin Slayer because of all the controversy surrounding it, I highly recommend giving it a try.
Plenty of other series out there have more fanservice than this, and while it can be really gory, I've seen more excessive things in that category, too.
So long as you know what you're getting into, there's a lot to like here, this is fun, reading manga!, The series is clearly picking up here! The rest of the party joins, the new characters are great, there are epic fight scenes.
The work they did on the building up of the volume was amazing, I just got completely involved in the story and wanted more.
And picked up the next volume right away, Trochu méně boje, trochu víc nových postav, Pořád ale stejně dobré,
/Just can't wait for the nex book
This one's way better than the first volume, though sometimes runs too fast and the reader migth get out of the main trail.
Turning down the rape and turning up the killing, it's time for the Slayer to face a new enemy!
So Goblin Slayer continues the adventure of the man on a mission to kill Goblins.
When some new people come into town looking to recruit the man, he gives them a big fat NO, However, when they mention it's to clear out a goblin nest he goes for it, This time though he is with a group of people who can stand and fight for themselves, Together they go into the nest but what lays deep in a the cave might not be a Goblin at ALL!
Good: The art remains polished and brutal.
The deaths, especially when chopping up Goblins, is amazing, The volume successfully gives stakes to a strong as main character by showing some weakness, Also, cool to see how the other characters are able to fight, I also appreciated they didn't have to show a rape scene to imply what had happened in one scene and still feel the need to kill every fucking Goblin around.
Was nice.
Bad: I think a lot of the characters act way to over the top in such a vicious world.
Also, the Deux Ex Machina shit at the end was a bit odd, even though it looked cool, Also, lots of ass and tits shots still, better than, but fan service still a little annoying,
Overall, solid. I believe I liked it better than, While not a full, it's a,out of.
Ho deciso, taglio. Although there are scenes of violence and and at least one scene of nudity as Goblin Slayer and his party infiltrate a goclin camp which might be to much for some people I believe the more extreme content has relaxed as Goblin Slayer does what he does best with the help of not only his friend the priestess but also a High Elf Archer, a Lizard Priest, and a Dwarf Shaman yes actual names are a privilege more then a right in this story but you get used to it.
With his reputation reaching tribes in other lands an unlikely trio as seen in the above paragraph seek Goblin Slayer to help them eliminate a rather nasty goblin nest before things get really bad.
Of course we get to see more of why goblins are scum of the world and the secret boss is a tough one but Goblin Slayer has a trick that might save everyone's lives.
Get ready for more action and less perversion in this volume of Goblin Slayer, :
My favorite moment is when Goblin SLayer is being requested to hel p wit ha quest and High Elf Archer points out all of these evils that Goblin Slayer does not care to deal with until the Lizard Priest says oh but we are asking you to kill goblins changing Goblin Slayers mind instantly into accepting the request.
: Things got more interesting, still, they toned down some of the most controversial parts of this manga,.!
Le puseestrellas porque mínimo es fluido de leer, Ok I think this one was better written than the first volume, It is a good and fun adventure story with the addition and f some new characters including elves, dwarves, and some sort of lizard person Lots of interesting magic going on and fighting new foes with new quests at hand.
I found this more story like and enjoyable where the first novel really just felt like back story and introduction to the characters where you really didnt learn much.
Also main denial priestess has grown in her skill and appears to have gained a backbone and some courage, Only thing is they dont really explain or show why or how, She just has it now, But Ill take it. When she casts healing spells Im rooting for her to do bigger and better and surprising things, Worth the read. Avis despremiers volumes
