Catch Hold Of Masked Scripted By M. Greenhill Provided As Digital Version
cover immediately grabs your attention, and this book definitely isnt your run of the mill werewolf story, The author perfectly blends the modern day world with pack life and immerses you in the problems growing technology brings, There is plenty of action without tons of the shifting, gore and death common with this genre, The relationship between the main characters isnt your typical “alpha male and damsel in distress” plot either I really appreciated the give and take between the two.
There are so many plot twists and turns I was surprisingly caught off guard at the end, I can honestly say I didnt see that coming, and Im usually good at picking up the subtle hints authors drop and figuring out the end before I get there.
A solid, good read that left me anxious for the continuation of the series!
I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review A supernatural thriller with a little romance thrown in.
This is my first book by M, Greenhill and wont be my last, Looking forward to contuning the series, Amazing! My first werewolf story, I love how this author explained details, She made me cry and laugh, I fell in in love with

Genre: Mystery amp Thrillers, Scifi and Fantasy
I love Fantasy reads, especially if there's a romance in the story.
Sadly the best sellers lists are dominated by stories where the romance is all the story, and though clearly others love them I want a bit more substance.
Happily Masked delivers all that : and I look forward to reading more,
There were a few weak spots though, Daniel is hundreds of years old, Alpha Commander, and yet in this age of technology he's a total Luddite.
I would have though that with technology now posing such a risk to them he'd have a specialist team, Its not as if he can hire out either, he's determined to avoid any Human involvement, Fortunately his alphas are more open minded, and through circumstance Parker has become a friend to one of the packs, after her cousin was turned.
Now they need her but she and Daniel have friction between them from an earlier case,
What I struggled with were things like early on in the novel when there are four murders, the wolves just whisk away the bodies, and remove the SD cards from every ones phones I just kept thinking "How" you just can't do that without creating massive attention, and that's the last thing they needed.
It would have been easier to believe had they their own tech specialists that can hack into networks and delete data that way, change paperwork so that nothing is missing but the true details don't get out, bodies appear to have died from another cause.
Its a more believable way round things and one I've seen in other supernatural reads,
That's a small criticism though and on the whole I really enjoyed this book, First in a series has a hard job, delivering a new and exciting story while introducing characters for future books, I liked the way this part of the story wrapped up while still leaving the opening for future books connected to what happened here.
I liked too that the author isn't afraid to kill off key characters, That's always sad when it happens, but does add to the believability factor when not just weak secondary people die, Keeps the reader on their toes too, never knowing what's coming,
In some books whatever the dangers you know all the main guys are safe, and it makes me think things like in real life it doesn't happen that way, that all the good/lead characters survive, and lessens credibility.
There were some great characters here, from Parker and her cousin Bobby, Daniel and his betas, the two techgeeksintraining, to Daniel's sister and characters from other packs.
the bad guys were just that truly awful, and with psychotics like that you can't predict what their next move would be.
I like that : like to be surprised, The story too has lots of potential to follow through in later books,
Stars: four, maybe four and a half, tidy up the few weak spots and this is shaping up to be a five star series.

Supernatural bodies are piling up fast, But can Parker and Daniel save those they love, before they kill each other
As one of the top data security specialists in the US, Parker Johnson has exposed hundreds of digital villains, and their crimes.
The hacker is smart, savvy and good at keeping secrets, Parker is also one of the few humans aware of the existence of werewolves, and its a secret she will do everything to protect.
But for how long Weres are dying by the dozen, and it seems Wildfirea new drug sold on the internetis somehow involved.
Parker is called in to help the investigation under the protection of Daniel Locke, the icy Alpha Commander who, three years earlier, she had the misfortune of pissing off.
Big time.
Daniel has spent his life defending those he loves, but hes never faced an enemy thats invisible, and everywhere.
No matter how much he distrusts Parker, with the future of his race on the line, his duty to his people comes first.
Its just too bad that his steely selfcontrol fails to smother the animal attraction that flares each time he meets the curvy, brunette investigator.
The fiery woman is as much of an enigma as the puzzle they are unravelling,
It is a race against the clock to track down the killers behind the lethal drug before it rages well beyond their control.

Good writing, good plot and execution, the romance aspect, however, is significantly undercooked, The other let down was a character of Simon as a beta he came across rather wimpy, Other than that a very decent read, I loved reading Masked when I read it first on wattpad and LOVED it even more when I read this published verion which is GREAT and brilliantly written.
This paranormal thriller truly has it all an intriguing plot, very interesting characters and a story well weaved that keeps the reader hooked.
The book shows how werewolf packs, who existed since the beginning of time, are keeping up with the modern world and all its technology.
I liked that the story doesn't only focus on the romance between the two leads but shows how their relationship is developed admist all that is going on.
Parker who was thrust into the werewolf world without any warning, becomes an important key player in keeping their real identities a secret from the outside world.
She comes face to face with Alpha Daniel, who doesn't fully trust her, and have to unite to fight the terrorist who is trying to rip the werewolf world apart.
Parker is a strong feisty female, and like Daniel, would stop at nothing to protect the ones she loves.
I loved how their characters developed throughout the story,
The book also had some unexpected tearjerking moment that you wouldn't expect amongst the thrill, mystery, the slow burn romance and the comedic fun filled moment.
Masked is a great beginning for an amazing series and I am looking forward to read the published versions of Buried and Evolution.
This was a great book! I LOVED the cover!!! With time is running out, nemeses Parker and Daniel have to work together to save werewolves from extinction in this new technothriller of M Greenhill.
This book is filled with trills and suspense as the two are trying to track down the manufacturer of a powerful drug, designed to kill the people they love.
Add plenty of sparks, bantering, and heart pounding action, and this debut novel of M, Greenhill turns into a must read, Not a dull moment until youve turned the last page, Im already looking forward to the next installment, Masked is special to me because I got to spend time with the characters before their debut!
But even now, almost a year after reading Masked Daniel and Parker and Simon! Let's not forget Simon! still pop into my head often.
It's one thing to write a loveable book but the sign of a truly talented, hardworking writer is a book that's truly MEMORABLE.
This is that book!
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review,
I freaking loved this book, M Greenhill blends werewolfs with mystery techothriller to create something unique and highly enjoyable, What I really loved about this book it's that the romance was more of a subelement for the main story line and how Greenhill manages to play with my emotions throughout the story I can't get over Bobbie.
Can't wait to read the second one!!! This is a book I would highly recommend, Unfortunately, the authors writing style did not grab and hold my attention although the plot of the book was quite original and well thought out.
The story of werewolves being killed was interesting and entertaining, A few times in the book I was wondering what exactly was going on and it felt as if I missed something.
i was lucky to receive an ARC copy, Loved the book, it keeps the reader intrigue as to what will happen next, This is my honest independent review, Werewolves dont get sick, may it be a common cold or the most aggressive, stagecancer, And if a human with a chronic condition is turned, you can bet the transformation will resolve his health issue at once.
Werewolves also dont get addicted, their bodies naturally get rid of any inebriatingor harmfulsubstance,
When a mysterious illness seems to target them, without any consequence on the human population, the Werewolf Alliance is completely at loss.
How could they face an enemy they cannot see An enemy they cannot hunt and tear to pieces Their only option is to ask humans for help, something the Alpha Commander, Daniel Locke, is against to because humans are untrustworthy.
Because there is history between him and the Brandebourgs human protégée, security expert Parker Johnson, although the only contact Daniel ever had with her was through phone calls.
Parker is eager to help out her adoptive kin, but she is less than happy to work side by side with the overbearing Alpha Commander.
But deads are piling up and there is no other choice: a truce is agreed and both sides will have to compromise in order to find and destroy the enemy.
Their growing attraction Its just but a bothersome distraction that none of them wants to give in Nota Bene: Daniels wolf disagrees, even if Parker could NOT be their longawaited mate.
As the inquiry slowly lead our heroes to the villains and allow them to unfold their plan to rid the world of werewolves, they realise that the enemys objective is much more twisted than what they thought.
“Masked” is my first approach to both thriller and Werewolf genres, nevertheless, I was able to appreciate the story.
Is it original I cannot say, but I did find it an original story per se, in which our modern technology mingles with Werewolf lore.
M Greenhill took great care in describing her world and the growing struggles those mythical creatures have with ita good example is when one of the characters says they cannot burn down their town registries anymore since all data is stocked in computers.
I really appreciated how she used this weakness in an otherwise almighty, powerful Alpha like Daniel, and his fellow Weries, justifying their slower rate to adapt to the peculiar need of their wolf counterpartafter all they are animals of the wilderness, they could not be caged in a white collar job.
And yet, the author shows us how, with a little compromising, this limit could be overcome, Another interesting thing is the frustration of Alice, Daniels packs physician, who looks for something more challenging and stimulating than checking that bones heal properlyone could even think her prayers have been very well heard up above.
Indeed, Alices current project, started more for boredom and to stay updated with the latest scientific discoveries, will be essential in understanding the threat, how it works and, most of all, which its aim is.
And then there is Parker, the human who has found out how to mask her smell so that her lupine friends wouldnt know her emotions before her.
What I had always loved about her, is how she refuses to play the damsel in distress: she has a job to be done and she doesnt economise her resources.
Yes, she is
a workaholic, sleeping and eating little but at the same time, she knows when she has to ask for help.
This, in my opinion, is the proof of her own strength, being not only able to delegate tasks to others according to their abilities and the present need but also of forced cold thinking in the worst situationno, Im not going to spoil you.
As for the plot itself, its a gripping thriller welldeveloped and with a good pace, with an alternation of chilling moments when you could only cross your finger and held your breath and some others quieter passages.
Its mostly through those that we see the nonRomance blooms between Parker and Daniel, by showing not only how their relationship shifts from archenemies to willing allies, but also their personal stories and opinions about the world they move into.
The final twist, which Im letting you find out by yourselves, is the cherry on top of this subplot,
This is an exceptional book that I would recommend to anyone who is hesitant about the Werewolf genre: the originality and the care used by the author to build her world makes this a real pageturner that will make you forget about everything else until reaching the very last page.
