on Out of Your Comfort Zone: Breaking Boundaries for a Life Beyond Limits

the thing you fear the most and the death of fear is certain, . . ”
Mark Twain

Out of Your Comfort Zone was a somewhat decent short read, I have been reading many books on mindset recently, so I put this one on my list when I came across it,

Mardlin gets the writing here off on a good foot with a wellwritten intro.
She mentions how fear is a subjective experience, which resides in the mind, She discusses how spiders, rollercoasters, and public speaking cause feelings of dreadful panic and anxiety in some people, while other people become energized and excited by these things.
She talks about how fear is a matter of perspective,

Much of the book contains actionable resources and exercises, including a "Zone Test," and a somewhat cheesy "Day ResilienceBuilder Challenge, "
She also includes a few case studies in her writing here,
So, it scores some points for that, However, there was something about Mardlin's writing here that just did not resonate as well with me as well as other books have, Likely a subjective thing I found the book could have had a bit better "flow, "

A lot of this book contained interesting writing, for the most part, However, there was also quite a lot of borderline or direct pseudoscientific jargon throughout here, including a large chunk of writing near the end about intuition, and talk of "feeling the change in all of your cells.
. . "

There was also an over usage of the term "Quantum" which is a virtual staple of woopeddlers and other newage snake oil salesmen, Not saying that Mardlin falls into that category, but this type of language is just not my thing, . .

Out of Your Comfort Zone was a fairly decent book, but it did not resonate with me as well as other titles about mindset that I've recently read.

stars. Each person no matter who or where they come from has a fear, or fears, of some description, I know people who are fearful about living their life outside of a romantic relationship, those who have anxiety about death and some about life, but for me, it always used to be talking to a large concentration of people, and I am a strong believe that it's healthy to face your fears.
That was a very small part of why I chose the degree I did, Through seminars and moots mock trials especially my fear lessened substantially, That was due to exposure to that particular worry,

Here, Emma Mardlin Ph, D explores methods of facing our fears, no matter what they may be, and ultimately conquering them, There are lots of handy hints and tips to help readers channel that negative energy into something positive and to slowly and incrementally neutralise those worries and anxieties.
This is particularly helpful for and geared towards those who haven't read anything else on this topic and is an indepth and comprehensive introduction,
