Davis has just outdone herself! ONLY EVER YOU is proof that even a wellestablished, and highly talented author with her own signature style can shake things up in the best of ways! More than an angstfilled romance, this one has nailed every emotion and slammed it out of the ballpark of love!

Starting out in the worst of places for young teens caught up in the system, there is a tender and sweet romance budding in the most unlikely of places and I was melting with this “new” Siobhan twist.
and then she pours on the hard times, the pain, the loss, feelings of betrayal and we are launched into romance hell, But have no fear, these characters have come of age, and they are fabulous!

Get ready for more than a romance tested and tested and tested again, get ready for a real, honest to goodness LOVE STORY that will set your heart to fluttering.
Feel free to find tears in your eyes, or a lump in your throat for Ryder and Zeta, because life has been brutal for each of them, especially apart.
Will the years they missed and the misunderstandings they have be too much to overcome

Only Siobhan Davis could knot my insides like this and have me asking for more!

sitelink Should have read the reviews first, The OW while nasty as fuck, . . an eightsome Really mfer werent even the issue, The plot revolving around the murder of a boy wasnt redeemable in the way the author played it,
Siobhan Davis has done it again, 'Only Ever You' has ripped my heart apart, only to put it back together page by page,

This book is full of angst, turmoil, heartbreak, and heartwarming moments,   Everything you could want from a standalone contemporary romance, Only Ever You has it!

This book has touched on a lot of tough subjects, and there are a few sensitive topics that may cause triggers so please be aware before reading.

Only Ever You starts off with Ryder and Zeta meeting while they both are in juvie,

The connection between the two is instant,

Neither of them has any family and they rely heavily on each other to make it through their time there, Ryder is battling demons that only he knows about, while Zeta is trying to make it through her own turmoil,

The things both Ryder and Zeta have gone through and continue to go through during their time in juvie will break your heart, It's like they can't catch a break and just when you think it can't get any worse for them, . . it does.

I won't tell spoilers but demons from Ryder's past come back to haunt him and after he is released from juvie, Ryder and Zeta are separated.

Switch toyears later, . .

Ryder has never forgotten Zeta, Zeta has never gotten over Ryder,

Fate puts the two back in each others path BUT, those demons are still after Ryder and unfortunately, the heartache these two go through is just getting started.

There were so many times that Zeta probably should have walked away, but she saw the real Ryder and knew that he was better than the demons that haunted him.
These two are the definition of true love and when times got hard even though Ryder tried to push her away, she hung on tighter,

I absolutely love Zeta, she might have broken a couple of times but she was such a strong character, Ryder, my poor sweet Ryder, There was soo many times that I wanted to slap him upside his head and hug him all at the same time,

"I love you," I lift my head up, staring into her beautiful eyes, eyes swimming in emotion like my own, "And I need you to understand that every song I've written, every word I've put to paper, has always been about you, " Ryder

I am a HUGE Siobhan fan, there is not much that she's written that I haven't read but I can almost say as far as standalone's go, this could be one of my favorites from her.
As I said, Siobhan touches on some sensitive subjects and one, in particular, doesn't get talked about nearly enough so I'm really glad that it was a big part of this book.
Only Ever You is definitely astar read for me!

If you like angst, YA/NA, rockstar romances, then Only Ever You is the book for you!

sitelink it/OnlyEverYouTR I havent had this much of a book hangover since Inseparable, I must admit I didnt think any book would come as close to it being the one that can break you down, make you think with all the feels, this one does! Its my other favorite book! I have two now and both are by Siobhan Davis! Thats no easy feat for any author and in my book reading world its next to impossible! Its true and this book is worthy of every single minute, hours and seconds that everyone takes to read this story.
Its not a simple boy meets girl type of book, This story has pain, agony, guilt, love, and most importantly realism, The unimaginable pain and agony these characters undergo are an essential part of their story, Ryder and Zeta, they meet under the most unfortunate circumstances but at a time that they both needed one another so completely, Their story begins in an unexpected way and to be honest I wasnt sure at first how this was going to work, It was a pivotal moment in this book and it had to be told to understand just how Ryder and Zeta become the people they are at that point in time.
They both recognized that they are meant to be together but the odds were stacked against them, A few years later Zeta and Ryder are reunited and the sparks immediately start flying! Ryder and Zetas connection reignites and they immediately realize that neither one wants to be apart from the other again.
There are some mistakes and even a few heart stopping moments for these two but they try and make it work, At one point I wasnt sure if I even liked Ryder but then I thought about what hes doing and understood that this was a who he was.
He was willing to do anything he could in order to keep the one person he loved safe at all possible, He won my heart and Zeta is absolutely perfect for him, They are beautifully broken and together they are perfectly imperfect, I loved this book so much and some readers may find some of it a little disturbing but please give this one a chance, This book was previously released under the title Only Ever You, I dont think that it got the attention that it truly deserves! YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! Its everything and more, You wont regret it! I received a complimentary copy of this book, The first chapters were a shock, I found the subject matter abhorrent especially in light of the author's comments at the end of the book I was expecting a rock star romance and wound up slogging through a section about a jail and a main character that I couldn't bring myself to like.
Not a book for me, As a huge Siobhan Davis fan and a huge fan of rock star romances, I was eager to dive into Only Ever You, Siobhan Davis has already wowed me with one rock star romance, Incognito, and I was ready to be wowed for a second time,

As with all Siobhan Davis contemporary romances, Only Ever You deals with a lot of heavy topics, It will not be a book for everyone, with there being a rather extensive list of triggers at the start of the story, but those who are able to deal with such things are in for an addictive read.
Siobhan Davis hooks you with this one, and youre unable to put the book down,

It is a story with numerous layers, one that has you turning the pages to see how everything comes together, Even when you know what is to come, even when youve worked things out, youre desperate to see the specifics, It does not matter that you know things, you need to watch them play out, Youre sucked in deep, and it ensures youll devour the book in no time at all,

I will be honest and say the events entertained me more than the romance between the characters did, If Im completely truthful, I never felt the intense connection between them that they seemed to, I think, however, what comes into play here is that I was born in the wrong generation, Theres a running joke with my friends that the only D Im going to get is my PhD, and I feel as though the relationship between these two focused a bit too heavily on the physical connection or, at least, their desire for one than on the feelings between them.
As I said, though, Im old fashioned and completely out of touch with people my age, As much as I love a good erotic scene you just need to look at the amount of erotica I read to understand, I feel as though things came back to sex too often between these two for me to care about what they were really feeling for each other.

Outside of that, however, there was plenty of entertaining things to enjoy, When we were focused on these things, I really enjoyed the story, As Ive already mentioned, there is a lot going on in this one, with so many layers to unravel, Even though the ending felt a bit too easy, things came together so well, with all the different strands playing out in wonderful ways, In fact, this one reminded me of one of my favourite rock star romances Rock King by Tara Leigh and had the same kind of drama I adored in that one.
Its no surprise I was hooked,

Although I will not be labelling Only Ever You my favourite Siobhan Davis read, it was an enjoyable read, This is a hard one for me to rate, but I've ultimately settled on a lowstars,

While I enjoyed the couple and their overall story, my main issue was that I found the matter of the prologue/ Ryder's character arc a little too disturbing and graphic for a romance novel.
like I am seriously warning that it was awful and disturbing, I still think about it days after reading it, and not in a good way, It felt gratuitous, and ultimately there for shock factor, which I didn't appreciate, I love "dark romance" but this was not that in the traditional sense, BUT I kept trekking because I was drawn to the premis story, and what people had told me about it,

In the end I thought the connection between the couple

was really well written and engaging, and I believed in them, However, some things were settled/forgiven a little too easy for my taste Zeta turned into a bit of a pushover, blah. and I thought the last part of the story dragged, I loved the firstof the book minus the prologue, but it didn't keep it's draw for me throughout the whole thing,

I would encourage you to be wary going into this one/maybe do some research, but overall I did think it was a good read if you're looking for a soulmate type of love with a whole lot of angst.
