me and her Wilder Irish series is just so good,

I loved the Collins family so much and with every book in the series I love them more and more,

I really enjoyed reading about Fergus and Aubrey and how they got to know one another and fell in love,
Aubrey was a hard heroine to love but as the story progress and we learned more about her past I could understand her actions better and I wanted her to find happiness and love.

Fergus was super sexy and hot, I loved his alpha behavior and how he wanted to protect Aubrey in any cost,

As always it was great to read about the other Collins family members, especially Pop Pop,

I can't wait to read more books in this series,
The first thing that caught my eye was the cover, I don't know if it's the colouring or the font, . . but I can't stop looking at it even now,
The next thing that caught my eye was the fact that this was a bodyguard/pop star romance, Who doesn't love those!!
I didn't know, before starting this book, that it was part of a quite long series which is a spinoff of another long series.
I'm usually very wary of long series because each individual book tends to be shorter than what I like, but I chose to suck it up and give this one a go.
. . and I'm so happy that I did!
One of the reasons I stay away from shorter books is because the relationships seem to be rushed, but the relationship between Fergus and Aubrey developed quite naturally with good pacing, I felt.

Mari Carr also really made me feel for Aubrey for how broken and lonely she was, But it made it that much more special as you see her develop relationships with Fergus and his family, That was definitely one of my favourite parts of this book,
Onto the mystery part of the book I was pretty sure I knew who the stalker was from early on, but I was still on the edge of my seat with each page, so props to Mari Carr for that.

Towards the end, though, I wasn't as interested in the romance as I was at the start, So all in all, I did really like it, but I wasn't left feeling as satisfied as I wanted to be,

Thanks to netgalley for the ARC, provided in exchange for an honest review, July Flames is the seventh book in the Wilder Irish series, I was a little hesitant to read this as my introduction to Carrs writing, but I had no trouble getting tangled up in this family even seven books into it.
Each book can be read as a standalone as the story strictly follows the couples journey, However, there is a family tree you can reference if you want to catch up on how everyone is related,

I was really intrigued by the description of this book, I have a thing for rock star romances, but this one had a twist, Instead of the guy being the rock god, it was the heroine,

Aubrey Summers is trying to break away from her teenybop persona, known as Jenny Sweet, and enter into the industry as a serious musician.
Not only will she be leaving Jennys character behind, but all the ghosts and demons attached to the fictional character, Shes on her first official tour as herself when strange things keep happening to the people around her, After each incident, she receives a rose with a cryptic message, Aubrey has too much on her plate to be worried about some crazed fan,

The last thing Fergus wants to do is follow around some spoiled, frigid celebrity, After leaving the military, he wanted to get his security company up and running, He never thought his first task would be being hired by a label to be her bodyguard because she keeps firing every guy to tries to protect her.
Aubrey has another thing coming if she thinks she can scare off Fergus Collins, Shes in danger and putting everyone around her at risk, He has six weeks to figure out whos behind it all while trying to keep Aubrey safe,

"Then he tried to figure out when his mission had changed, Sure, hed been hired to protect her, to discover the stalker if he could, but his personal goal had morphed into something much larger and harder.

He wanted to save her, "

While this book had its ups and downs, I really enjoyed it, I feel like Aubrey is misunderstood not only in the book but by the readers too, She starts out as a horrid character but changes into an outstanding one by the books conclusion, Fergus, and the entire Collins gang, was wonderful from beginning to end, I cant wait to pick up the rest of the books in this series soon,

stars!

A special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher/author for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am calling dibs on Fergus! I absolutely flew through reading this book because of just how great Fergus and Aubrey were together.
But the total icing on the cake was that epilogue!!!! The epilogue alone was worth five as Fergus and Aubrey sat down with PopPop for a private concert.
I don't normally select romances featuring rock because I often find them to arrogant and full of themselves, However, I have loved every book that I've read in this series so far so I went for this one, I'm glad I did because Aubrey while at times bratty is definitely not what I expected, Fergus on the other hand is the perfect bodyguard, former military, dedicated and exactly what Aubrey needs, Plenty of romance and some suspense made this yet another great entry in the Wilder Irish series, The Collins' Curse strikes again, . .

Fergus Collins is a recently returned Vet beginning a new career in private security, He takes a job as bodyguard to a child star turned pop star, He expects a diva and he gets one, Aubrey has been in showbiz all her life, been betrayed by those she should be able to trust and now keeps everyone at a distance.
She has no interest in being guarded and resents Fergus but Fergus is strong, steady and true, As Fergus stands guard he slowly wins Aubrey's trust and together they create some flames,

I enjoyed this addition to the Wild Irish series, These characters were complex, multifaceted and engaging, I recommend this book and the others in this series, Mari Carr is a talented and delightful storyteller, I can't wait for the next addition,

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, A Rock Star Bodyguard Romance

He'll risk everything to keep her,

Hes going from military hero to bodyguard Well, that might not be so bad, The money will be good anyway, But then Fergus meets the woman hes hired to protect, A former teen pop star Please God, no,

After being taken advantage of repeatedly through her career, the music diva is used to pushing people away, But her sexy bodyguards need for control is eventually impossible to resist, Who is she to fight when he insists on being much closer than arms length

And keeping the sexy hero close isnt such a bad idea, considering shes got a stalker.
Received an advance copy through Booksprout,

I love this series! Fergus and Aubrey's story takes you on a roller coaster ride, it takes them a while, but after a lot of back and forth, they manage to find their HEA.
July Flames is a great romantic suspense story by Mari Carr, I adore this series and was not disappointed in the slightest, July Flames is another hit! I loved it, I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review,

Fergus you caught my heart!
Lets start with the fact that I dont really read these kind of romances so, it wasnt bad at all.
I liked it more than I expected, Im guessing it would of helped to have a bit more background as I havent read any of the others in the series but I stuck with it anyhow.

It was a very easy read and I grew to love the characters even Aubrey as you learn why she comes across as such a bitch at the start.

Fergus is hired to protect the loved and adored star that is Aubrey and boy does he do that, I mean, even I can admit the guy has crazy charm, Honestly though without the stalker element I probably would have become very bored as the mystery brought life to the story for me, Personally it was quite predictable, towards the end it was more cute than interesting for me and I kind of rushed over it so maybe that says more about me not being completely into quick, passionate romances.
My favourite kind of romances are those built up over time but honestly its such a short book they wouldnt have had time so I understand why they fell for each other so fast but personally I think theyre too perfect and built on intense lust.

If youre a romance fan and you enjoy a hell of a lot of sexual tension I would deffo give it a shot, its cute I cant deny that!!!! I would like to ask the author to stop teasing us about Finn and Miguel and just give us their story already! I don't care if it's going to be a triad or not, I just wanted them to get together.
Is that too much to ask

I can't believe that were arebooks into the series, Does that mean that we only haveleft I have readof the books I can't read Padraig's book because it will break my heart andof them gotfrom me.
With one exception, I can say that the series has been very good and I enjoyed a lot each book,

As much as I loved May Flowers, I feel like July flames had the most developed story, It was like Aubrey and Fergus had the room to tell their story and they made me believe that what they had was more than lust.
Aubrey is a very tricky character, Before we even meet her we learn that she is like an ice queen and a diva, The way she was described was not ideal and I was wondering how I could possibly like her, She is also peachy towards Fergus sometimes, especially at the beginning of their story, As it turns out, her behavior was mostly a way to keep other people away from her because she wanted to keep other people from becoming a target for her stalker.
Once she opened up, she became a different and more likable person, which was great, I couldn't like a book where the heroine was constantly a peach, Fergus was hired to protect Aubrey, but I loved how his protective mode went from "I have to protect my client" to " I have to protect the love of my life".
It was a noticeable switch and I liked that very much,

Once again. Pop pop stole the spotlight! And my heart I might add, I love that man and he was so kindhearted and caring, He made Aubrey feel welcome, And she had a gift for him in the epilogue that was very sweet, If I didn't like her already I would have just from reading the epilogue!

July Flames is a surprisingly endearing and heartfelt book in the Wilder Irish series.
It's the seventh book so far, ergo the title, It features hotheaded heroine and a dominating alpha bodyguard, Their romantic journey is suspenseful, magnetizing, and raunchy in the right amount, sitelinkMari Carr wrote an engaging romantic story, one that will spark all the right feels, Combining a sweet romance with a great family dynamic, hot flirty banters, and thick sexual tension, you got a beautifully crafted story of love in the hot July.
If you love bodyguardclient romance, you'll definitely love this one,

Aubrey Summers is facetoface with lifethreatening accidents and mysterious notes at the start of her comeback tour, She didn't take it wellsnapping at everyone within close distance, and can't keep a cool temper, She's got a bitchy attitude towards her crew and almost everyone near her, Enter Fergus Collins, after costarting a security company he's assigned a very important duty to help build the company reputation, Being Aubrey's bodyguard is no easy task, He's turned to an easy target for Aubrey's constant loose temper, But keeping her safe for the next six weeks is his top priority and finding out who's behind all the mysterious lifethreatening accidents, Aubrey is a firecracker and he's got a way of disciplining this diva even if it took him his all his reign and control,

Aubrey is a different type of heroine we're used to in a romance novels, To put it lightly, she's a complete bitch, Her behaviors makes her a tough nut to crack, She's got an iffy history with her boyfriends, Feeling used and betrayed, especially by her mother hardened her to become a brash woman, Behind her 'sweetheart' facade in front of her adoring fans, she bear a wound she couldn't tend herself, Now this is where Fergus Collins came along,

The sexy alpha male won't take no for an answer, Even after countless rude digs Aubrey jabbed at him, he's not backing down as her bodyguard, He cared for this girl more than he can stand and that's what bothering him the most, Nevertheless, he required her full trust and that is something he had to earn the hard way, Even after their first encounter, Aubrey has considered him attractive, she felt the same pull towards him but was too stubborn to act upon it.
Fergus is a gentleman through and through, yet at the same time he can be possessive and dominating,

Aubrey and Fergus' story is satisfying and emotionally fulfilling, I especially love their romantic development, The pace is not too fast or too slow to begin with, everything just fits, The plot twist is a bit predictable but the suspense building up to it is perfect making it as engaging as their romantic journey, I love a mystery that puts two people together so it's no brainer that I love this book,
