needs a lot of editing! And the storyline dont even get me started, I just hate it. Trope was arrange marriageduh, agegap, mafia romance, Father of the h arranged her marriage w H to form a alliance, But h don't wanna marry H cz it'd be a loveless marriage,

The first half of the book was really boring and predictable, And the hliliana was so immature, it made me laugh, Hopefullynd half was better, readable, Arabella, she's been thru a lot in this book, i hope she gets her HEA in thend book,

I really liked the intensity of this book.
It was well written and well paced, I thought the characters really fit the story and helped make it believable,

The two main characters again were really well thought out, I liked their chemistry. The way their love story had to build helped become emotionally invested in the story,

Alpha males and helpless heroines always make for a good read,

I think this is a problem with GR.
You finish one book of a certain genre and it starts throwing recommendations, I finished another mafia book sitelinkThe Italian couple of weeks ago and here we are,

This book is not

a storybook, it is wishful thinking, Naive heroine, ruthless douche of a hero and Stockholm syndrome, you get the Mafia romance,
Most of this type of troupe revolves around sexual tension and boredom see Stockholm syndrome again, While tested SS works like magic, I mean how many times heroine is going to get massages and baths, the later one fizzles like prosecco sitting in my fridge since Christmas.
It could have been done better,

Aftermath: possible spoilers

I want to read Arabella's story but I know if Lilian's story was painful, Arabella's would betimes worse.
That being said, she needs her happily ever after so I am tempted, The story was good. And the book needs good editing, But I read an older version, And the new version has come, But otherwise, I like the story, The heroine Liliana was sweet innocent girl, and the heroAntonio was a heartless person, of course before heroine came into his life, And the character I hate most was Liliana's father, but than it makes the story, This is a mafia story with such an interesting cast! We have our young and innocent Lily thrown into the arms of the Young Capo, Antonio who seems to be as fond of the idea of arranged marriage as Lily!
They have to be careful and never invest their hearts into the idea of love in marriage otherwise their feelings might be used against them!

You cannot help bur root for these cuties!!! They are both such cinnamon rolls

I really was engrossed in the story plus all the steamy scenes we are getting!!

I really want Arabellas story ive seen a few people mention that liliana is tstl and i didnt make it far enough in the book to truly come to a conclusion on that what i can say is she was one of the most annoying female characters i have ever read!! she was a brat and then some.
i couldnt find anything that even made sense about her personality, just no.stars

I felt like I was reading a book about a lowbudget mafia romance movie where the actors were terrible, This Laos seemed like a bad knockoff version of Bound by Honor by Cora Reilly,

Liliana was TSTL, I hate it when mafia heroines seem like they are just learning everything now, They grew up in the mafia and are still shocked when something that should be normal to them happens, She was just so idiotic,

Antonio was the worst mafia hero I have ever read, He was so stupid. He killed people for no reason, which is, realistically, a total risk in their world,

Overall, if you are desperate for a mafia romance, maybe, but other than that I would not recommend,

P. S. Bonus points for an amazing cover with one of my favorite treats, macarons, on it! Decent storyline but so many typos

The story itself was pretty good.
It took me a little while to like the main characters that said, by the end, I appreciated Lily and Antonio, The constant typos misspellings, missing words, added words, punctuation every couple pages were distracting, If it didnt have so many typos, Id have given the story a/,
DNF!!!! Argh Im so sick of the frickin tenses and narratives switching every five seconds!!! Who edits these books!!! I've been following Emmy since I found her acotar fan account on insta years ago.
Im so happy to see that she is making her dreams come True, This book is quite good for self published author, but needs more originality in my op, it's like Aria and Luca fanfic, So conflicted

The storyline was good, Great plot and great twists, Likable characters.
The writing was just off for me, Felt rushed and slow at the same time,
Antonio's thinking was also a huge turn off, Can't abide a hero who okays a wife being bitten as long as it's not in his presence,
That was the biggest turn off,
I always enjoy these hate turn love relationship books, And despite the copy errors, because no one is perfect, I really liked this book, im going to past the typos and the inconsistencies on the story, but honestly liliana got me on my nerves how can you been raised in the mafia world with a father like that and a brother like that.
. . and still act super surprised with the things she got trought and honestly antonio wasnt that bad, and she still act as a brat and childish a little, the twist and turns i didnt seen coming, like a suspect them but was a surprise, i want to read anabelle and rocco, angelo story to read next.
. . all in all the book wasnt that bad,.stars. Was pretty good.

The writing was screwed up in some parts, Some words were missing or spelled incorrectly but that doesn't usually bother me so if it does for some then you're probably going to get annoyed quickly.


However I think the story was good, I teared up a few times too, So overall I liked it well enough, Wish the epilogue would've featured the cousin and bodyguard a bit, Fingers crossed for them. one of the best book I ever read, liliana Ricci was so sweet and innocent while Antonio Morretti not cruel but hides his emotions so well, their love story took time to build,
I loved it and I recommend this book to everyone who loves forced marriage,
I hated Liliana's father and brother they were so fucking fucked up they choose power and reign over love and family they were selfish and deserved what happened to them.

also, I liked Angelo he was super sweet and loved his sister Liliana, you will like Arabella and Carmelo and I wanted to read their story if there is one.
