daughter says I absolutely must add this to my bookshelf for very young children, Apparently it's still among her favorites!

It does have beautiful illustrations, but its youngchild appeal would be limited to children like mine were already accustomed to listening to stories and creating mental images to accompany the text.
Any given page of this book definitely has more text than picture, which is partly why I didn't originally think of it for the "young child" shelf.


Still, my young children both adored this book, and I remember it fondly, so here it is! This book is filled with fairytails.
It is a very good book of mystery and wonder, My recommendation is forth toth graders, I love this book but it is not the best book ever, The traditional stories of

the Celtic lands conjure up a world of mystery and imagination, Ghosts and dragons, witches and wizards, giants and the little people who promise untold richesthese are just some of the characters in the stories featured in this book.
