really enjoyed Amandas story, My favorite trope is best friends to lovers so I was already invested in her and Blake becoming more than best buds, There are shades of a few popular romcom movies in the plot, so the reader will definitely recognize those elements, but I wouldnt call this book a romcom itself.
Amanda and Blake have each been hiding their true feelings from each other after a failed reveal on Blakes part, Amanda thinks she being noble and selfless in not sharing her feelings with Blake, which I understand, but Im not going to say its not frustrating from a readers point of view.
Its definitely a slow moving story, but well written, which kept me interested,
A few takeaways if you havent read the previous book, Montana Welcome, you can read this book alone, but you might be missing some nuances as to why Amanda is so protective of Lily and how the family secret was revealed.
Also, were introduced or reintroduced to the Blackwell Brothers, Again, not necessary that you read those, but you will meet many from that branch of the family,
A trigger warning, to those affected by endometriosis or infertility, These subjects are dealt with in this book, so please be aware if this is a sensitive area for you,
I received an advance copy of this book, which I reviewed honestly for no compensation, My thanks to the publisher,
With this second “lost” Blackwell sister, we get to see more and more of the family that Big E is trying to bring back together.
Because it is about a second sister, I would at least recommend reading book one but it isnt required to enjoy,
This time we are learning about Amanda Harrison, She is having trouble dealing with her dad, Rudy Harrison, not telling her or her sisters that they are really Blackwells, This is the part you will have to read for yourself as the authors do a much better job than I explaining the overall story, She also has a major health issue that she has kept from her sisters and her best friend Blake Collins, Her story is all about trying to get her twin sister to move back home to Southern CA from Montana, trying to be happy for her BFF Blake on his engagement did I mention she is secretly in love with him, and trying to deal with this otherfamily that just doesnt seem right to her.
My heart broke for Amanda but she really needed to open up to her sisters and to Blake, And I loved Blake absolutely adorable! His fiancé was the perfect character to totally dislike and yes, I did!
I am enjoying the new series about the missing Blackwell Sisters.
Love reading about the Blackwell Brothers from a previous series and other characters weve met and some are still as smart alecky as they have always been.
Amanda and Blake have a tough road to their HEA but it is all worth it in the end,
Another great book in this series Amanda and Blake have been best friends since they were young! Amanda is taking a road trip with Blake to try and get her sister Lily to change her mind about marrying Conner and bring her back home to San
Diego! But Amanda finds out Lilly is very Happy at The Blackwell Ranch with her fiancé! This is such a great book I gave it astar it was a page turner for sure and I started reading it and didn't want to put it down I was given a copy of this book for an honest review and this is my own honest review If you haven't read you should you wont be disappointed I cant wait for the other book to come out in this series ! All of the Authors put their Hearts in these books I would recommend these books to anyone that love to read A Clean Romance Book! Amanda Harrison and Blake Collins have been best friendsprobably since he helped her rescue kittens.
Amanda has had a secret crush on Blake for just as long, The one time they were tempted to cross the friends to more line, they decided theyd rather remain friends as they didnt want to risk their friendship.
Now Blake is engaged to marry a woman Amanda doesnt particularly like, She knows their relationship will likely change as Blakes fiancé will now be his “goto” girl, Amanda also recently found out there is no cure for her fertility issues, Shes devastated as she always thought shed have a big family, Amanda KNOWS Blake wants a big family as he was an only child, Since Amanda cant give him what he truly desires, she vows to try and be friends with his fiancé, When Lily, Amandas sister, decides to marry an almost stranger and move permanently to the Blackwell Ranch in Montana, Amanda knows she has to convince Lily to return to San Diego.
Amanda doesnt like the fact that shes a Blackwell according to DNA and cant believe Lily could be so accepting of her newly found family, On the premise of checking out the ranch for his wedding, Blake goes on a road trip with Amanda with hopes of convincing Lily to return home and find out the secret Amanda is hiding from him.
This is the second in the Blackwell Sisters series, So far, its interesting to see how each sister accepts the Blackwells as an addition to their family, There is an underlying story woven into each sisters story, so I recommend starting this series from the beginning, Amandas life is a total mess, but once she arrives to the Ranch and sees how in love her sister is and how welcoming the Blackwells are, she starts to have a change of heart.
Its a story of secrets and how devastating they can be once revealed, It also tackles real life issues, such as infertility, I actually LOVED that there was no easy fix to her infertility, but there were options, Great friends to more story, I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own,
Amy Vastines contribution to Tule Publishers The Blackwell Sisters series is with Montana Wishes, This a clean romance that is truly one thatll sweep you away with a story of family strife, discovery, and acceptance, I rather like that while Blake and Amandas story has completed its journey towards their HEA, all was not tied up in a nice neat little bow.
. . with the hope that their loose ends will be tied up later in subsequent stories of the remaining sisters, Payton, Grace, and Fiona, . . Lilys story also continues towards its own completed HEA during Montana Wishes, with more hopefully also to come,
I enjoyed the depth and personalities of the characters, with the secondary Blackwell family characters adding more richness to the story, All the characters were realistic and relatable, . . they certainly captured my heart, and I look forward to revisiting them in the stories to come in this series,
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review, .
